ok lets be honest ... I'm in love with this partita .. really it's incredible but as for me .. i can't imagine myself playing this one in my final test .. it's really long and fast at the same time and the program is already BIG !! .. any way no one can judge bach .. he's just perfect !!
28-yaer-old Baráti played ALL the Bach unaccompanied sonatas and partitas in this one concert. If Baráti played these in the order in which they are published, this would be the beginning of the sixth and last full piece, roughly 2 hours from the start of his solo recital. It says a lot about Baráti's level of performance that we are rightfully impressed by this 4-minute excerpt from hours of intense, unaccompanied playing. As an amateur who has worked on this piece, I like his tempo. It moves without rushing, and he gives attention to both individual notes and phrases. If you want to hear something fast (and clean), listen to Baráti's performance that same evening of the very difficult C major fugue from Bach's third sonata: ruclips.net/video/MRx-4Kj5-KE/видео.html
He looks like Fernando Torres LULZ. Nah but on a serious note, one of the cleanest partitas owing to the speed, id rather hear it at this speed and played super cleanly.
+Amatou 13 To me, Barati plays it at the perfect speed. There are no records to show how fast J.S. Bach wanted it to be played, so there's no way to know what speed it was written for. But, we can be sure that in a piece with this much perpetual motion every note should be heard, because every note is part of the implied harmony Bach created. That's why I prefer Barati's speed: because you can hear every nuance, and his intonation is impeccable!
In fact there is a tendency in our times, to play every thing fast. I also wondered about the speed at the beginning but if you see it in the original baroque frame, this piece was made, it seems to be logic to have a slower but more sophisticated manner to play it.

Great video, but..why show the audience at all here? No one cares to see them quite frankly. We want to watch this wunderkind's every move on this piece.
for the life of me I thought it was him before reading this comment...is it really though?...it is a bit of a stretch from JedWard, isn't it? (I like pop music of course)
Ja, endlich einmal richtig schön ausgespielt, frei von jeder Hektik und Angeberei.
Absolutely gorgeous and clear expressive and vigorous interpretation of that partita. I loved it kudos come play in America please.
It really sings at this tempo.
Wonderful performance.

That's beautiful. Just a lil slow if you compare it with the original piece but still wonderful!

Am just saying that its slower compared to original piece. No doubt that this piece sounds great with this tempo too.
you're saying you heard it in Bach's day? I tend to doubt it.
What original piece, all kidding aside.

Spotted Loius Walsh also.I bet he was thinking about putting Barati in a boy band. Not too much money to be made out of this Bark shit.

Incredible, there is not a single black person in the audience.
This was played in Moscow? Can you tell me: What is the percentage of black persons in Moscow?
too slow.
this isn't even in tune.
play a little harsh..too aggressive on the bow.. notes go sharp
This is stupid :(
