- If you didn't already know, I attempted this video before, with the audio from the opera boss trailer from last year or so, the audio on that trailer was vastly inferior to that of the game's final version, so here I am updating it. Gameplay footage was recorded by myself.
The text at the top of the screen is written in "Celestial" or "Angelic" script, not completely accurate, I only put it in for the Aesthetic bonus.

These lyrics aren't at all official, just a fan transcription, feel free to use them in any covers or anything you plan on doing, and whilst I'm not going to hunt you down for not crediting, it would be appreciated if you could link to this video.
The language sung in many NieR tracks, (Excluding ashes of dreams and The weight of the world) is not a proper spoken language, and is actually a mish mash of several real world languages to create a fictional portrayal of the language drift between today and the game(s) setting.

Well the language in Automata is based on several different languages and was ment to convey what humans would sound like in a gajillion years and a bunch of languages just fused together
I love the chaos language, its so beautiful that lets everything to your interpretation. This is truly a beautiful song

And the language is made up entirely of a mixture of so many other languages the words scattered
I thought the same thing the first time I played this game. As I was fighting Simone I could only image what the words were about and how they pertain to this little bots madness. How the rejection made her go insane because of her human perception of love and that you need to be beautiful to be loved.
You can see this big machine isn’t her real body. You see her real face on her chest.
1:49 "Bumba etwüre borë" sounds like "Fa male qui, nel cuore" from italian it means "It hurts here, in the heart."

Despite having access to the actual album I always come back here to RUclips to get the actual in-game version just for that one small part at the opening. Changes everything.
Not sure why on earth they wouldn’t just include that in the official release... I mean... it’s literally PART of the song!

1:41 when this part hits, it fucking hits. The vocal melodies are so god damn good and hearing it while playing gives me chills.
I knew this game was a masterpiece when SImone started screaming "look at me" and the camera deliberately moves away from her and does everything it can to not let you see her.
Few games nowadays use everything in their toolkits (Music,Story,Gameplay,Aesthetics) to deliver a unique and singular vision.
So glad Yoko Taro and his team are getting the recognition they deserve.

Ricardo Mundarain, all these characters are living in an unending hell, the dark secrets of the yorha kind of drive that fact home. She does put up one hell of a fight early in the game.
She just wanted to be loved by that specific machine though it was too late to realised what she actually was... this game is way deeper than we expected at the beginning

Her voice turning from sweet singing to a desperate yell during the first two seconds always make me shiver. Everyone who doesn't recognize videogames as something which can be art in its most absolute and visceral form should play this game. Thank you Taro sensei, there should be more game designers like you

When I first heard this song, I was heavily distracted by the boss itself, both fighting it, and it laughing, so I didn’t catch how powerful this track was. Thank goodness for RUclips. Now I listen to it at least once a day.

I love how some lyrics are very similar to Italian (which makes sense, since Simone Is an Italianization of Simon)

The written language they used in Drakengard is called the Angelic Alphabet(Celestial Alphabet), which was created by someone in the 16th Century in the real world. The font itself was not created by the composer of the songs, but exists before that, DoD and Nier simply used it in their games. Chaos is the language she sang in. Get your facts straight.

You have to put into consideration that the song has been a subject of lore since Drakengard, ever since the invasion of the Grotesquerie Queen in Tokyo and the White Chlorination Syndrome.
So thousands of years later, the song is still a thing that it affects machine life forms in one way or another.
This song blew me the fuck away when I first heard it. It is still to this day one of my top 5 favorite songs.

When I played this game for the first time and when Opera gave that super loud scream it instilled fear in me, the first thing I thought was "I'm not going to be able to beat him", for me it is one of the bosses that impacted me the most
