Thank you for watching! I love digging through the magazines, newspapers, and i want to bring the era a bit closer when talking about their lives. The movies - because so many of that time period are lost, I am ecstatic when i find out even if its small clips - that they are still around in some form. Martha was beautiful, and such a horrible accident took away a talent that had much more potential.

@@RhiannonsAdventuresInHistory I too love looking through old movie magazines, my favorite ones are from the silent era . As you could probably see my favorite actress is Louise Brooks. I have many magazines foreign and domestic with her on the cover and I have one she actually owned personally personally . I live in Rochester where Miss Brooks lived her later life and died. I often visit her Cemetery plot in plant flowers

Another amazing video. While all the stories do not have happy endings, they are fascinating and deserve to be remembered, Thank you for caring about keeping their histories alive. You do all the videos with the utmost respect, the ladies would be proud,

Thank you Sharon for that lovely comment, I am humbled. I think some may have been 'swept under the rug' by the studios to be forgotten. Again sorry that so many seem to have unhappy endings, but as the interest increases in Silent Movies I am hoping people will check out their work (for those films that survive).

Thank you so much for watching! And thank you so much for the kind words I try as much as I can, cuz I do think these women should be remembered and I know some of my documentaries or rediscovering can be very long but I'm trying to put as much research in them as possible

Your documentation is also great. There's something really fascinating about these old stars. Can I ask if you're thinking about doing one about Olive Thomas? I love her so much...

Thank you :) Olive Thomas was amazing, but doing the actresses that time may have forgotten for now. If I can get things more organized, I may delve into the more known ones (if I can find the time :) )

I understand. This attitude of preserving the memory of almost forgotten stars is very noble and beautiful.
I only asked because your documentaries are really, really good. I can imagine how much time and effort it took to put this all together, huge respect for that!

Hey Rhiannon, it's really great that your back with your great videos, I have really missed them, I actually thought you had been caught up with the terrible wild fires over there (which are dreadful). This video was great, once thing I noticed is that a lot of the young actresses in the silent movie era suffered terrible tragedies & died so young when they had there whole life a head of them, so sad. Some of the actresses were so complex to with all the things going on in there life, best era for movies though. Rhiannon can't wait for the next video, please stay safe with those wild fires ok. Andy. 😊❤😊

Hi Andy and thank you for your support as always :) I will try to make it not so long in between - depends on what roads the research takes me down. A lot of them did sadly go tragically, I pulled research in the past few months on a lot, and many do not have happy endings. But there are actresses that are lesser known that left and lived, and I do have one I think lived to her golden years. Trying not to bring anyone down with the docs, but I think their stories should be told again. Agree, one of the best eras. As far as the wildfires, we were hit a couple months ago, close to the city where I live, so many people displaced along with pets - so tragic. But the current ones in BC and Yellowknife are scary and my heart goes out to everyone. You stay safe as well Andy! And thank you again for watching :)

I remember reading all about her tragic end. Sadly a lot of the actresses of the time died mysteriously or weirdly. I will always believe there was more to Lucille Ricksens death than was portrayed. The over exertion run into the ground story seems a bit far out. There have been plenty of stars even at a very young age who were also exploited and overworked, Baby Peggy and Jackie Coogan for example. I am inclined to believe a botched abortion might be closer to the truth.

And sadly it still happens today - lessons not learned. We will never truly know the causes in some cases as studios and those invested had the power to keep things quiet.
