    I transitioned from a G Pro Wireless to a Starlight-12 Phantom. I adjusted within a few hours and I really enjoyed my starlight12 and got my TenZ one after. I guess I've been lucky that I don't have QC issues on both copies. Now that i've been spoiled by the weight, I don't think I can go back to other mouses again

      Finalmouse is being bypassed by the two new Razer Pros and the Lamzu concerning switches, sensor, latency, polling rate, build quality. Calw and palm grips find here excellent competitive mouses for a bette price and better performance.
      The weight of Finalmouse is still a little better than Razer/Lamzu, but if you got the 300 bucks and play fingertip grip and want good quality AND tech AND good weight go for the 24 g Zaunkoenig.
      Only reason to buy finalmouse is IMO if you like the design.

    The left click issue is a big problem with these new s12 pros. I had to take mine apart and remove the mylar pad to fix my left click. They have a tutorial vid on how to do this in their pinned comments on the repairs section of their discord.
    I own 2 starlight mice, the first was a pegasus and the 2nd was the s12 pro that you used in this vid. Despite being a huge finalmouse fan I'm currently using the razer viper v2 pro with the hyperpolling wireless dongle for 4k hz polling rate. Currently testing to see if its worth the hype over other mice options.
    I would highly recommend the corepads ctrl mouse feet for lightweight mice. Also corepads soft grips are slightly thinner than the grips from finalmouse.

      finalmouse mice arent great for claw grip unless u have very very small hands, and even than still not the best option for it. id recommend looking at a pulsar x2 or x2 mini for a high quality good priced claw grip mouse, the x2 mini is also quite small so it can also be difficult to claw if u dont have small hands.

    This one is basically the Tenz one but inverted colors, so it'd go with any setup unlike my phantom. Plus the Japanese on the scroll wheel that really sold me... that'll match my keycaps nicely.

    the clicker assembly is extremely delicate, contrary to what you said right after almost snapping your M1 lol.

    Outside of the skins or the mouse, you would definitely like the Tenz Small mouse shape a lot more!

    • @ToStrideForFame
      @ToStrideForFame 2 года назад +2

      The stickiness you feel is the sticky adhesive which has leaked onto the left click. Basically, there is a mylar pad taped onto the clicker to reduce pretravel: the amount of distance from the moment you press down on the mouse click to when it makes contact with the switch itself to make the click sound. So again, what happened is that that mylar pad fell off or moved, so the adhesive from the tape leaked onto the clickers resulting in the sticky feeling whenever you click. This is a fairly common issue that occurs for users and it's pretty frustrating.
      To fix this, you'll have to open up the mouse with a t5 torx screwdriver. There are 2 screws in total, one on each of the bottom feet. You'll have to remove the mousefeet which can ruin them in the process if you're not careful. You can warm up the mouse for about 5 seconds on each mouse foot to warm up the adhesive and get a plastic prying tool to lift off a corner of the mouse foot first and slowly remove the rest of the mouse foot to prevent damaging them. Alternatively, you can buy feet replacements from sites like LethalGamingGear if you're in the US, which are generally better than the stock mouse feet. Find Starlight-12 mouse feet brands Tiger Ice or Corepads. Tiger Ice is faster but less control and comes with 1 set while Corepads is slower and more controlled and comes with 2 sets.
      When you open up the mouse, on the magnesium top shell, you'll see two clickers for the left and right click. Find the one with the mylar pad and tape and remove them both. Afterwards, to prevent the sticky feeling, you'll have to scrape off the adhesive. You can use whatever tool as long as it's not metal since the top shell is magnesium to scratch off the adhesive that's on the clicker. Also, the side buttons bracket can fall off when disassembling the mouse, don't be alarmed! You'll see the two areas where you're supposed to put top and bottom of the side button brackets on the shell and you have to kind of hold it there when reassembling the mouse.

    They should make a large I don't need a large but that would be cool. If they went large it would be a ultralight 1 but wireless and made of magnesium and probably just the same weight as the old ninja air 58 ultralight 1. If you don't know the old ninja air 58 and older are a shape called ultralight 1 and the cape town and small starlight 12 is the ultralight 2 but the medium starlight 12 is called what I said it is not called the ultralight 3.

    I use theStarlight Phantom 12, medium sized mouse and love it. I actually bought it scalped ….. about $100AUD 🇦🇺 (Aussie dollar) above its RRP well MSRP for you yanks (about 70USD above MSRP) including free express shipping, tracking and purchase insurance. Here in Australia it’s difficult to meet US sales times / Timezone etc to buy live on sale day. I’m happy with my purchase, the value for me and having the opportunity to own one of these unique mouses 🥰👍🤩. I wish Final Mouse would triple their order numbers +++ so many more can purchase them.
