You could argue it's one of the hardest weapons but its potential suffers not compared to other weapons at all.
@@hugegamer8004 The issue is when comparing weapons, it doesn't have great benefits. Sword has range, lunge, etc. Sledgehammer isn't stellar but its got utility and the potential to kill a light in one shot. Dagger has no range, requires backstabs, relies on invis being up or getting a lucky dash, and if you fail you're dead. The risk just doesn't warrant reward when the risk is too high if you fight people of your own level. An AK player will beam your shit before you can get the stab and a shotgun has sent you to the spawn screen fast too. Most guns have enough range to delete dagger players long before they're even in threat range assuming you aren't even using any util. Its why dagger is a wash. No one uses it in scrims for a reason.
@@donutmerchant8393 I will say I don't know why you brought up hammer having the ability to one hit a light, when the dagger also does, but from a class which is harder to detect and has higher movement, anyway that isn't that relevant so I'll move on. In terms of ''getting a lucky dash'' this causes me to doubt how much you've used the dagger, because if you had then you'd know that the majority of kills with dash back stabs aren't luck based. You could argue that you are lucky in the first place that backstabs are kind of broken in that lots of the time for me the back stab counts as they appear to be looking in my direction, but I've also found that a lot of backstabs which look like they are clearly hitting the back, don't count. In terms of an ak player beaming before sufficient proximity is obtained, that is a general statement which doesn't fit with the majority of areas in the maps. Most places, I find, are more inclosed with lots of debris and architectural features being obstructive, and a skilled melee player will do well to stick to these, as each weapon requires a playstyle. However, the majority of cashout and vault points across all of the maps are in enclosed, often tight, spaces - so the same argument is slightly weaker for gun players to stay in open spacious areas, though I don't think is particularly relevant either because I'm trying to refer to strictly weapon potential, which I still think it equally high for the dagger as other weapons. I have no doubt that dagger doesn't show up in the top ranked, or official tournaments or what have you, but I would argue that is because the required skill, effort and energy to compete with the dagger at that level is much higher than other weapons. That's not to say that the players at the top couldn't pull it off, just that they will probably do better overall with more excess energy and less effort with a different weapon. Keep in mind I am speaking only about the potential of weapons, therefore I think the dagger matches other weapons, but requires more skill, effort and energy as I've said. Another thing to mention that of course a gun will perform differently when in combination with different util, and most good dagger players I know always run invis bomb and goo nade at least, either grouped with an offense gadget or portal typically. @@BrianTruce well, I suppose the point of what I was trying to make by my short comment is that obviously the Grenade launcher is the worst of the all the weapons the heavy has as proof of the rarity of the popularity of its use. If you were going 1v1 with a heavy with a shotgun for example, say within 20m. There is no way you're winning. Same with all the other weapons most likely. The video is cool because you're showing the potential of the weapon "if" it is mastered, but I'm not sure the video really captures this because it was mostly a highlight reel of enemies being clumped up...aka... perfect situation for grenade splash damage. A video of a mastery of it would show really tough gameplay situations and/or really outplaying someone or a team. They the people could see and say, "oh wow he really worked that team, maybe I should learn that weapon". Although this next statement is not a critique of you, I would highly doubt that someone who uses the grenade launcher at a high elo would have a positive win rate without being carried by his team because in order for this weapon to really shine you have to be free from much pressure. Under pressure people would miss their bounce shots and just die without doing damage. Say a light player with sword got on you up close. Bye...that weapon shoots so slow and doesn't explode on impact and you have no mobility. Only standing at medium distances lobbing grenades is this good. Open to opposition on this. In conclusion, the video didn't really impress me as a mastery, although it was cool to watch people just get blown up lol. Perhaps a complete guide and explanation of difficult situation with video proof would be helpful for me. Look forward to what you can do with it. I use flamethrower / M60 fyi personally.

menace to society
When the game was actually fun. All the utility mentioned here has been nerfed into the ground (why Embark?), and for some reason (not sure why), this weapon doesn’t feel like it does in the footage shown here, do you know why or am I just trippin?
I’m ok with it I get 5-11 kills a game with the grande launcher and run and charge
The c4 throw is not as effective in s2, any tips for this new season?
if you want to directly replace the c4, go with frag or stun grenade. Throw the frag before you start volleying the mgl32 to 1-2 shot most people if everything connects. Stun grenade to just screw them over just long enough for all ur grenades from ur mgl32 to go off and kill them.
This thang goes😂
Dont use below gold/plat because teams do not stay together below those ranks
its actually a very good weapon though when the connection to the game aint so hot for me it becomes inconsistent to a degree
In the finals gun teir lists mean nothing it’s either you’re good or you suck
Can you do a flamethrower guild cause I love that gun
Don’t people this gun is strong, so we can get a buff😁
LMAO I really think they still will buff it cuz no one uses it
Is like play Junkrat from OW2
Junkrat prepared me for MGL not gonna lie😂🤙🏻
When enemy team puts down APS turret GL becomes useless lmao
Not necessarily, you can land nades right outside the circle of the aps and destroy it
I've never really believed in the teir lists for THE FINALS. Most weapons are viable. Just watch footage like this.
I’d argue it’s the second worst weapon (still very usable) behind dagger
agree to disagree😈
I run good gun and grenade launcher with pyro mines
TF2 demoman gameplay
Any tips for monacos slanted rooftops?
Run.
Understandable, thank you (seriously, letting me know I should not be there is helpful)
@@simplyeyeronic1443 people are so hungry in this game too that I run up there so they see me, drop down to street, enter house + throw c4 at the bottom of stairs, then 4/5 times they chase and it’s an easy kill lol
HAHA, nice!
This seems like a weapon that shines when the opponent has predictable movement, so I'll try to use that tip.
Problem ia you cant defend yourself close range like at all
Charge n slam to run further away and fight around dome shield when u can’t run :)
Cool video. But just a highlight reel of kills from enemies being clumpt up kills.
Thanks! Any suggestions on what I should do differently for these kinds of vids?
