I’ll echo someone here who said that this was the best Zero they’ve seen. This is up there for me. Job well done! Personally, I don’t mind the lack of music or the lack of dice boxes, but I get it where some might want those things. I loved that there were some races/classes that are not often seen (at least what I’ve watched) in online campaigns. Everyone was so engaged and seems so committed to their characters. The story so far was intriguing and I think the DM/GM did a great job of using zero as a tutorial for the players. It was fun getting to see learning occur. It’s natural and letting that be conveys the realism. Metagaming was relatively low for a new group too, which helped keep the immersion. Ending my ramble, I’m excited to see what happens with the natural six next! Thanks for putting on a great show!
I honestly can't believe with all these lovely people in Natural Six that I'm FIVE months behind in even knowing you were a thing. Struggling to catch up in my free time
>is offered gold >immediately, (instinctively?) throws it in the nearest body of water >refuses to elaborate >disregards own safety, nearly dies you know, this reminds me of a certain half-orc bard...
Throughout the whole video I ve been waiting for Doug to say "the winds are howling" because it got ingrained into my brain to expect it from all the hours I sunk into the witcher
My god, party royalty aside, the atmosphere is so good. I've watched this through twice and can't wait for more. Also, hoping for some cheeky cameos from all our other favorite folks at some point, especially OX and TBH.
Found this today. Happy to find a new great thing to binge. I want to give huge praise to the audio quality. This makes or breaks shows and this audio is phenomenal.
stumbled across this channel by complete chance and am really happy I did. you guys seem like great people and I'm curious to see where this is going. I also really love how you just roll on the table in the open! idk what it is, but it makes me think of the time back when I started playing TTRPGs myself - everyone just rolling on the same table top and seeing everyone's dice.. hope you keep that!
So good. So so good! A great session to use to explain the mechanics of DnD. I especially love the HP description as “will to fight” instead of life force per se, too.
I love the organic interactions displayed by the players. They are all keeping within their character story background. They don't immediately become friendly with each other as the DM's situation didn't allow it. Also, I don't feel such a forced attempt to be entertaining such as other campaigns from other groups. These forced attempts were in fact stopping the adventure to be fleshed out and become a sideshow. I feel the natural flow of the adventure really drawing me to continue to watch till the end. Finally, I commended the DM to naturally guide the players as not all are experienced in playing D&D in an attempt to guide the organic interactions that keeps the campaign very interesting. Kudos to the DM for building the world and interesting battles in a refreshing nature.
An example of an experienced group is toward the end when the basilisk ran toward the Mouseleum and was entangled with his back toward the party, I could have done a backstab attempt which may have killed the basilisk instead of shooting from afar.
Loving this! Backed the Kickstarter and can't wait to see more. The cast's enthusiasm is contagious, and the characters they're bringing to the table seem like they'll be fun together. I also have to say that I really like the clean presentation and crisp sound -- I know some people have asked for music, but I like that I can hear everyone so clearly without it. GM does an excellent job describing theater of the mind combat, too!
I really love watching the development of people that have never played before and the fun they have, so I sincerely hope we get many more Nat Six sessions!
There are a great mix of characters here, I’m sure it will have an interesting dynamic moving forward. I’m also intrigued by the plot lines that have been laid down and feel invested in the story and world. Great session! Good luck with the kickstarter!
Harry, as soon as I heard your voice I instantly knew who you were! Loved you in The Last Kingdom. You are killing it as a DM. Love every episode. And Doug, I also instantly heard your voice and thought “is that geralt!?” You guys all do a great job.
53:42 on the matters of ranged weapons, you can shoot the crossbow anywhere from just outside of melee up to 80 feet. You can also shoot the crossbow from 80 to 320 if you take disadvantage (roll to hit twice and use the lowest roll) on the attack because of the extra range
I’ve been meaning to start watching this campaign for so long but now I’m finally sitting down and watching it I’m enjoying it so much. I’m a DND newbie, currently participating in my first campaign and it’s so fun and helpful to see other people start a new one and how it unfolds ☺️
Guys and girls, thank you! Really enjoyed this, can't wait for more and to watch your characters grow together as you continue on this adventure ... DM you carried the game realy well ... :)
An excellent Session 0. Great seeing those unfamiliar with the game getting to grips with the mechanics. Love this cast of characters already. Really excited to see more interactions between everyone and to learn more about them. Wishing you guys all the luck & success with the Kickstarter.
Great episode everyone. I loved this. Really good DMing & well drawn characters. I can’t wait to see where this series goes and how everyone (characters included) grow with it.

I stumbled upon Natural Six in my podcast app. Don't know how it came up but Im soooo glad it did. Can't tell you how much I love this podcast/show, so much so that Ive started looking for local DnD groups.
This is my first dnd campaign I’ve ever watched and really my first true introduction to the game and let me just say, I am very unfortunate that I do not have a mental image because I was so captivated by just listening to this story unfold. I cannot wait for more!
Nearly screamed when the DM held back "maw" in favour of "mouth" PLEASE. I knew I had the right feeling about this lot, so excited to see where your adventure goes! Cheers!
What a delight! I’ve subbed and I’ll be watching. This is a great group - I love the enthusiastic characterisation that professional actors/creatives can bring to a D&D game. Excellent DM, with an original story and engaging delivery; and works with players of mixed D&D experience here really well. Have fun Natural Six! (P.S. Ben Starr is too handsome 🥵)
this was a really cool watch and excited to see more in the future. One thing i would suggest which i don't know if it is possible (or already considered) but some backing music would be a really cool adition, for both adventuring and combat
This was so much fun! A really great session 0 that showed what this group is all about! Can't wait to see more! Great to see some familiar faces (and voices) getting involved in the hobby. I recognise Harry from The Last Kingdom and of course Doug from The Witcher, and Aoife and Alex from Eurogamers collabs with Outside Xbox. So much excitement, count me invested!
@NaturalSix very cool to put a face to *That* voice. I had assumed he might have been Geralts voice actor but good to know for sure. Everyone else sound familiar too but I can't place it? Are all the crew voice actors?

I think this has all the makings of a fantastic stream. A quality cast of imaginative and talented actors playing interesting characters in a richly detailed homebrew setting with a DM who takes care to work with the players and make every moment interesting. Everything about this seemed so professional and really captured all the joy of playing and crafting D&D, and the universe (particularly the Web, and the characters' connection to it) has me hooked. I'd love to watch this as it releases. Seriously considering pledging.

I didn't know about this series until it was announced for MCM Expo London this October, i'm going to be watching through what you got so far. Good luck players!
Finally watching it (busy with stuff) Got to say instantly, Alex had me belly laughing just alternating between I and We just cracked me up for no reason 🤣. I hope you guys get fully funded (i have contributed meself)
Im such a huge fan of The Last Kingdom by brain cant help but scream "Destiny Is All" every time I see Harry. However, he's so f-ing amazing as the GM that might soon change, wonderful story teller and has me gripped already!
Really loved this, fantastic first session and a killer group. Would really enjoy a little background music to break some of the silence, other than that, fantastic
Errrrrrm this just landed in my suggested videos and LOVED seeing my uni lecturer Doug! 😊😊😊 FUN TIMES. Excited to watch along as a long time d&d player and DM!
I cringed a little when Hollie forgot to add her proficiency bonus to her attacks... (instead of an 11 on the 1st attack and 10 on the 2nd, she got a 13 on the first hit, and 12 on the 2nd. Still don't know if that's enough to breach enemy's AC). Also, she should've had advantage on the attack used with [Action Surge], though it seems everyone forgot in the heat of the moment. Also, how the hell does Alex have a +6 DEX score to add to his damage modifier, turning a 2 on the damage die into an 8!? I mean, he rolled a 17 in character creation as his highest stat, and assuming it's in DEX, even adding the +2 from the Kobold's racial ability score increase can only bring it to a 19, which is a DEX modifier of +4... maybe he was looking at his Dexterity [Saving Throw] modifier by mistake? I'm guessing that's what it was, since having a +8 to stealth checks mathematically aligns with him having a +4 DEX modifier, while utilizing the rogue's [Expertise] ability for the stealth skill, plus one other skill that's currently unknown as of this episode. Also, his [sneak attack] dice were supposed to be doubled on the crit AS WELL AS the regular weapon damage dice. So his entire attack should've consisted of 2d8 (longbow) + 4d6 (sneak attack) + 4 (DEX modifier) for an average of 27 damage on a crit with sneak attack. Rogues are infamous for being overpowered when they crit while sneak attacking, it's why they don't need multiple attacks. One more thing: Ben's history check shouldn't be a mere +2 since he's a wizard with an INT modifier of +3. Either he wrote in the wrong number from before he added his racial ability score increases OR he accidentally only added the proficiency bonus (which is +2) but forgot to add his INT modifier (which is +3) thus would normally total +5 if he has proficiency in [History] which is an INT-based ability check. Sorry for nitpicking, loved the session and looking forward to more!
