I love my Fujitsubo. I also questioned my taste after Jordy’s review. If you contact Citizen you can buy the titanium bracelet for $120. It looks nice with the black and is really well made.

I have been a seiko fan, and theres no way in hell you can buy a seiko for 1.) 4hz 28,800 movement 2.) Anti Magnetic 3.) Titanium 3.) 200M divers rated 4.) Date complication 5.) Titanium strap (Blue fujitsubo comes with blue titanium strap) 6.) sapphire crystal 7.) Pro master logo signed crown tell me a Seiko with that above specs that retail around $1000 , most seikos with above specs were roughly $2500+/- so this is a WIN WIN watch , its not as fancy as a rolex or a prospex seiko but its a VERY NICE watch
100% it is actually quite surprising that just based on specs this watch isn’t more popular… design just appeals to some and not to the others, but the specs for the money are amazing as well as how well this thing is built… I happen to like the way it looks too 😍 Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought one about a month ago and love it. I wear it in the pool, while working, and everywhere else and don't worry about it. Only thing that slightly bothers me is how easy the bezel turns. I was looking for a Seiko but happened on the Fujitsubo and I'm really glad I went with the Citizen.

I’ve been thinking about one of these since they were released, I want something to replace my very old Fortis beater watch, which I love, but I don’t take care of it very well and and it’s needed a lot of maintenance and ETA parts over the last two years, in fact I could’ve almost bought one of these for what I’ve spent keeping the old Fortis going. I’ve got a titanium Tudor, Pelagos obviously, and it’s just too expensive to start wearing it every day, although I do love it. So, after looking at the obvious Seiko and Hamilton options, and having watched your video after Jody almost put me off, you’ve just convinced me to buy the Citizen … thanks! 😊

Bought this Citizen Watch after this movie since I like my Bulova Lunar Pilot as much as You do. Citizen Promaster Titanium it’s a great watch and I love it.
I think Jody must have got out of bed on the wrong side when he reviewed this watch. It is most definitely not boring and is a thousand time nicer than his Erebus dive watch there are just so many nice design touches with this Citizen. FYI you get the scuba tank with the blue version on the bracelet.
Damn it 😂 was thinking about the blue one, but the black one came up for an incredible price and I couldn’t resist 😁 overall I am super with it, the longer I was looking at the bracelet version, the more I didn’t like the bracelet actually, specifically the end links 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching!
Hi Karel, Karol here. This is a great review. I also like this watch but I'm still waiting for the price to drop. Although it seems to me that the price (500€) will stay like that for now. Other watches in this price range that are worth taking on the radar is Glycine Combat Sub 39, Wolbrook Skindiver II (Underrated) and Wise Adamascus AD8 (a tiny bit more expensive but I love that watch). Great video! Love the looks of this watch, I've decided to get one. The fact that it's a reissue of a watch with such a legendary story, is the icing on the cake! I have the Seiko SPB147, similar style, love it as well!

I really really like this piece… it is by far the most comfortable watch I ever tried (on the right strap) and like you say the history is is just cherry on top… plus I don’t think it gets appreciated enough for the fact that it is unmatched value for many- like you can’t get antimagnetic, higher beat movement in titanium body from a big brand for that price anywhere else 🤷♂️

I’ve been looking at so many others since but I keep coming back to this one. I really wanted a bit more of a gunmetal case like this vs just brushed stainless. Great video & review! Enjoy your style. I kinda think Citizen is often qualitatively ahead of Seiko & Miyota movements are better also, especially various 9000 series. I think Seiko’s breadth of assortment is pretty strong though.

I can’t say you are wrong, but I actually prefer - purely from aesthetic point of view, aluminum bezel insert… it feels more retro and that is what I love… but the practicality is somewhere else indeed

Hi! Interesting question- Fujitsubo feels visually smaller and more retro. I think the weight helps that feeling too… and the lug width… so on the wrist Kamasu feels more substantial or how to say it… I will try to make a short about it…

I really like this watch, classic and class, and i'm thinking about saving money for it. I thought, i had enough classic divers and was looking for more fancy and funky and fun, but i'm nearly 60 and decided to get old in dignity. BTW: Sometimes, when it's really silent around, i hear the rotor in my Promaster NY0085, but i don't care. And i like the Mercedes hand.
Hahahha, there is always space for something funky, but I generally prefer the classic and classic… I can only recommend this one, I am super happy with it honestly… I think its got a lot to do with color of the titanium case, it’s different enough to keep the watch interesting every time I pick it up… let me know how you decide! 1. I hope you're Dutch, otherwise bikes aren't allowed in non bike subjects for others. 2. Good point about the movement ( citizen need to put this in a cheaper 3 hander than present models) - most, if not all, reviews miss this . I, too, have avoided miyotas for the same reason . 3. The size might be a bit large for me ( 6.75"/ 17 -18cm) ..reason I got Certina DS38..my miss(?) 4.I like the link you did with the t - shirt . 5. Watch winder- erm, of course it's up to you ( & you may know this already),but many watchmakers don't encourage their use - unless ( esp.) for a Patek perpetual calendar. 6) Last point( honest)- sapphire crystal .For a tool watch I'd rather have a mineral/ hardlex ( one for Seiko!) than sapphire. Example: Adrian Barker dropping his Explorer 2. 7. I lied. One review got the OEM bracelet from Citizen USA, on Citizen UK I couldn't see it available - anyone else tried after buying the black dial version? Cheers, Chao, Ciao, Salut..

I like your reviews. One problem I have with your videos is the intro music is way louder than your voice, so when I have headphones, I set the volume to hear your voice well and that music crushes my ears for a few seconds, you should lower it somehow...

I think that Jody is sorta right in that it's a bit boring. But I think that's part of the appeal. It's a very toolish watch, and sometimes that's exactly what you want on your dive watch. Plus it has good specs.

This was exactly what I wished for from Citizen. Except that male end link design making the true length of the case waaaaay to long compared to what it needs to be, and those Rolexy Mercedes hands makes me still not go for it. Mostly the former. I'm not sure I can pull of a watch with this lug to lug. I sold my Promaster BN0200 for this very reason. I just couldn't accept a watch where the bracelet hanged out above the curvature of my wrist that far. But I could go for the black one and just wear it on a rubber strap (I would go for a dark green Bonetto Cinturini probably). As the lug to lug is acceptable in that case.
100% I don’t like the bracelet design either… but wearing it on a good quality rubber is an absolute blast… I love that watch… it feels very special to me
I actually ended up modifying the bezel insert- brushed it- and it turned out great- much more my style :) and the strap was easy fix right away 😂 cheers!!!
Occasionally yes.. I wear the watch a lot in general… most of the times I wear a g-shock to the gym… but this kinda feels like that one watch that can do it all I feel comfortable to wear it to the gym, camping, party or to the office

Objectively it is a better watch, it is almost 3x the price, so when you put it in that context, the value for money, I think Kamasu is actually right up there also and the value is comparable… I will always love my Kamasu ;) Cheers for watching!
I wasn’t really sure about it at first, too… but it really and I mean really grew on me… I like how it’s partly skeletonized and can’t imagine other hour hand on the watch now 😁 but I may be biased, I really like the watch a lot
Not even close to the value you'll find in a San Martin titanium dive watch. Feature one on the channel and you might just realize how absurdly overpriced some of the best known brands are. Still, great content and a good looking watch altogether.
Yeah, that is one way to look at it, San Martin is incredible value specs for money and they finish steel like noone else in that price point… but I am kinda tired of super close homages at the moment - especially the BB ones… I happy to see that San Martin is trying some original designs lately. Still I think this is amazing for the money, the case and movement and another level, really… higher beat, antimagnetic…. Plus you have a Brand recognition with incredible history - not important to some, but I like that - having that said, I do own one San Martin - sold the other 😁 and I agree that they are amazing… I hope they will turn into genuine Microbrand with their own design language… Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!

It is not exactly glossy like ceramic… but its exactly matte either… what I did after the video… I brushed the bezel… and its exactly the way I wanted 😁 cheers
Excellent review full of good sense of humour. 👍But... 1. Why did you start mumbling? Your voice was crisp in the first videos and your pronouciation was perfect international English, but today I struggled to understand 20% of what you said. Work on your vocal capabilities, mate. Speak more clear. And 2. At the end of the sentence where you cut the clip, your eyes tend to look for the notebook. It is quite annoying. Could you, please, look straight into the camera a little bit longer? Like a second or so? Say your line, keep looking at the camera, cut the clip, move onto the next scene, repeat. 😉

I still think it is actually, yeah the bezel action is pretty bad, but at least its aligned and looks great… but can’t deny that its got like 10x better movement, titanium case… I don’t know… still drowned more by this one… don’t get me wrong, I love seiko 62Mas, but I got the same movement in my alpinist, and this one just works better
Citizen is my favourite underdog brand. Have he Nighthawk and NY0085 and had his Fujitsubo on the wrist on SEW in Prague and you are spot on! It is absolutely fantastic also on the bracelet. I love the blue version and the crystal is very uniquely and gorgeously shaped. Had the same reaction to Jody. He missed the mark with that one.

100% it is actually quite surprising that just based on specs this watch isn’t more popular… design just appeals to some and not to the others, but the specs for the money are amazing as well as how well this thing is built… I happen to like the way it looks too 😍

I bought one about a month ago and love it. I wear it in the pool, while working, and everywhere else and don't worry about it. Only thing that slightly bothers me is how easy the bezel turns. I was looking for a Seiko but happened on the Fujitsubo and I'm really glad I went with the Citizen.

I’ve been thinking about one of these since they were released, I want something to replace my very old Fortis beater watch, which I love, but I don’t take care of it very well and and it’s needed a lot of maintenance and ETA parts over the last two years, in fact I could’ve almost bought one of these for what I’ve spent keeping the old Fortis going. I’ve got a titanium Tudor, Pelagos obviously, and it’s just too expensive to start wearing it every day, although I do love it. So, after looking at the obvious Seiko and Hamilton options, and having watched your video after Jody almost put me off, you’ve just convinced me to buy the Citizen … thanks! 😊

Bought this Citizen Watch after this movie since I like my Bulova Lunar Pilot as much as You do. Citizen Promaster Titanium it’s a great watch and I love it.

I think Jody must have got out of bed on the wrong side when he reviewed this watch. It is most definitely not boring and is a thousand time nicer than his Erebus dive watch there are just so many nice design touches with this Citizen. FYI you get the scuba tank with the blue version on the bracelet.
Damn it 😂 was thinking about the blue one, but the black one came up for an incredible price and I couldn’t resist 😁 overall I am super with it, the longer I was looking at the bracelet version, the more I didn’t like the bracelet actually, specifically the end links 🤷♂️

Karol here. This is a great review. I also like this watch but I'm still waiting for the price to drop. Although it seems to me that the price (500€) will stay like that for now. Other watches in this price range that are worth taking on the radar is Glycine Combat Sub 39, Wolbrook Skindiver II (Underrated) and Wise Adamascus AD8 (a tiny bit more expensive but I love that watch).

I really really like this piece… it is by far the most comfortable watch I ever tried (on the right strap) and like you say the history is is just cherry on top… plus I don’t think it gets appreciated enough for the fact that it is unmatched value for many- like you can’t get antimagnetic, higher beat movement in titanium body from a big brand for that price anywhere else 🤷♂️

I’ve been looking at so many others since but I keep coming back to this one. I really wanted a bit more of a gunmetal case like this vs just brushed stainless. Great video & review! Enjoy your style. I kinda think Citizen is often qualitatively ahead of Seiko & Miyota movements are better also, especially various 9000 series. I think Seiko’s breadth of assortment is pretty strong though.

I am still very much in love with this watch - I recently modified a bit the bezel insert, so its brushed and more mate… and its just perfect for me… I always loved 62MAS, but this watch is objectively better watch… better movement, better materials… and a lot cheaper…I just love it!

Wish the bezel was also titanium or similarly resistant material since that is where I see a lot of my scratches on my current Kamasu diver.
I can’t say you are wrong, but I actually prefer - purely from aesthetic point of view, aluminum bezel insert… it feels more retro and that is what I love… but the practicality is somewhere else indeed
I've never thought of owning a Citizen; as a brand it's just never appealed to me. But you might be changing my mind, and the blue one with the steel bracelet is sexy as Hell!

Do you have an opinion on how this one wears compared to the Kamasu? They are both ~41mm, but does the Fujitsubo look or feel smaller/larger at all?
Hi! Interesting question- Fujitsubo feels visually smaller and more retro. I think the weight helps that feeling too… and the lug width… so on the wrist Kamasu feels more substantial or how to say it… I will try to make a short about it…
Jody saw way to much watches so to him it might be boring but to us who have maybe 5-10 watches in our colections this is a beautiful watch! Bezel could be better.

I really like this watch, classic and class, and i'm thinking about saving money for it. I thought, i had enough classic divers and was looking for more fancy and funky and fun, but i'm nearly 60 and decided to get old in dignity.
BTW: Sometimes, when it's really silent around, i hear the rotor in my Promaster NY0085, but i don't care. And i like the Mercedes hand.
Hahahha, there is always space for something funky, but I generally prefer the classic and classic… I can only recommend this one, I am super happy with it honestly… I think its got a lot to do with color of the titanium case, it’s different enough to keep the watch interesting every time I pick it up… let me know how you decide! 1. I hope you're Dutch, otherwise bikes aren't allowed in non bike subjects for others.
2. Good point about the movement ( citizen need to put this in a cheaper 3 hander than present models) - most, if not all, reviews miss this . I, too, have avoided miyotas for the same reason .
3. The size might be a bit large for me ( 6.75"/ 17 -18cm) ..reason I got Certina DS38..my miss(?)
4.I like the link you did with the t - shirt .
5. Watch winder- erm, of course it's up to you ( & you may know this already),but many watchmakers don't encourage their use - unless ( esp.) for a Patek perpetual calendar.
6) Last point( honest)- sapphire crystal .For a tool watch I'd rather have a mineral/ hardlex ( one for Seiko!) than sapphire. Example: Adrian Barker dropping his Explorer 2.
7. I lied. One review got the OEM bracelet from Citizen USA, on Citizen UK I couldn't see it available - anyone else tried after buying the black dial version? Cheers, Chao, Ciao, Salut..

I like your reviews. One problem I have with your videos is the intro music is way louder than your voice, so when I have headphones, I set the volume to hear your voice well and that music crushes my ears for a few seconds, you should lower it somehow...

I think that Jody is sorta right in that it's a bit boring. But I think that's part of the appeal. It's a very toolish watch, and sometimes that's exactly what you want on your dive watch. Plus it has good specs.

This was exactly what I wished for from Citizen. Except that male end link design making the true length of the case waaaaay to long compared to what it needs to be, and those Rolexy Mercedes hands makes me still not go for it. Mostly the former. I'm not sure I can pull of a watch with this lug to lug. I sold my Promaster BN0200 for this very reason. I just couldn't accept a watch where the bracelet hanged out above the curvature of my wrist that far. But I could go for the black one and just wear it on a rubber strap (I would go for a dark green Bonetto Cinturini probably). As the lug to lug is acceptable in that case.
100% I don’t like the bracelet design either… but wearing it on a good quality rubber is an absolute blast… I love that watch… it feels very special to me
The strap and the bezel insert are the only negatives in my opinion.
I actually ended up modifying the bezel insert- brushed it- and it turned out great- much more my style :) and the strap was easy fix right away 😂 cheers!!!

Occasionally yes.. I wear the watch a lot in general… most of the times I wear a g-shock to the gym… but this kinda feels like that one watch that can do it all I feel comfortable to wear it to the gym, camping, party or to the office

When it comes down to value, the Casio Duro is, "far far far", I can't say it enough, the best value in the watch world.
I think there won’t be a lot of people arguing with that :) Duro is a value king… I wish they made a solar version for around 100$ and they would have a citizen killer in their hands

Objectively it is a better watch, it is almost 3x the price, so when you put it in that context, the value for money, I think Kamasu is actually right up there also and the value is comparable… I will always love my Kamasu ;)

The Barnacle has way more character than any watches from Jody's brand. The only thing I don't like about this watch is the Mercedes hour hand.
I wasn’t really sure about it at first, too… but it really and I mean really grew on me… I like how it’s partly skeletonized and can’t imagine other hour hand on the watch now 😁 but I may be biased, I really like the watch a lot

Not even close to the value you'll find in a San Martin titanium dive watch. Feature one on the channel and you might just realize how absurdly overpriced some of the best known brands are.

Yeah, that is one way to look at it, San Martin is incredible value specs for money and they finish steel like noone else in that price point… but I am kinda tired of super close homages at the moment - especially the BB ones… I happy to see that San Martin is trying some original designs lately. Still I think this is amazing for the money, the case and movement and another level, really… higher beat, antimagnetic…. Plus you have a Brand recognition with incredible history - not important to some, but I like that - having that said, I do own one San Martin - sold the other 😁 and I agree that they are amazing… I hope they will turn into genuine Microbrand with their own design language…

1. Why did you start mumbling? Your voice was crisp in the first videos and your pronouciation was perfect international English, but today I struggled to understand 20% of what you said. Work on your vocal capabilities, mate. Speak more clear.
And 2. At the end of the sentence where you cut the clip, your eyes tend to look for the notebook. It is quite annoying. Could you, please, look straight into the camera a little bit longer? Like a second or so? Say your line, keep looking at the camera, cut the clip, move onto the next scene, repeat. 😉

I am aware of the eye rolling somewhere where they are not supposed to - its usually a result of couple of takes where I messed up - might be the mumbling, too 😁 wasn’t aware of that one and will keep that in mind for next time! The only thing I don't like is the Mercedes hand, and I don't think the original strap is nice either, but with this Tropical strap it's almost perfect.

I still think it is actually, yeah the bezel action is pretty bad, but at least its aligned and looks great… but can’t deny that its got like 10x better movement, titanium case… I don’t know… still drowned more by this one… don’t get me wrong, I love seiko 62Mas, but I got the same movement in my alpinist, and this one just works better

Citizen is my favourite underdog brand. Have he Nighthawk and NY0085 and had his Fujitsubo on the wrist on SEW in Prague and you are spot on! It is absolutely fantastic also on the bracelet. I love the blue version and the crystal is very uniquely and gorgeously shaped. Had the same reaction to Jody. He missed the mark with that one.

I was about to pull a trigger on that one, when I got an opportunity to buy Seiko Flightmaster for a really good price… but I know I will get it eventually - the older model - not a big fan of the new one with the black bezel…
