Originally written and recorded in 1983 during the Victory sessions. Michael came up with the song’s composition while watching a movie in his movie room. Jackson would then put then vocalize parts of the song in his tape recorder such as the baseline and drum beat and would work out a demo with John Barnes. Jackson loved the demo so much he decided to leave it off of Victory and come to it to the later. The track would remain in its early demo state until 1987 when Jackson would flesh out the demo and rework it. The whole Jackson liked the song he felt as something was still missing and would then rework it with Teddy Riley during the Dangerous sessions in 1991. While the song was mostly finished and put on one of the earlier track lists Jackson would ultimately decide to leave the song off in favor of the Hard Rock song Give In to Me. The original demo of Someone Put Your Hand Out would be leaked by Quality Mixes on February 24, 2023. Amazing mix it’s so funky and groovy with lots of soulfulness to it as well. I always love when someone put your hand out, carousel (previously unreleased) or especially Dreams away get remixed. They are my favorite unreleased songs by far. This is makes this version of the song enjoyable to me. Good, finished instrumental version with vocals. Thank you 🙌🙏 Unlike the one that recently leaked. I hope Dreams away was in that stolen laptop or USB. Seems like it was the laptop that didint have Dreams away or throwing your life away (which would both be my top 2 unreleased tracks if good audio was out there.
