- Hi everyone! I'm bringing yet another one of my personal mixes, in today's video I'll be presenting you my take on the track "Dream Away".
The song was originally recorded during the "Thriller" album sessions, And in this mix I'll be reconstructing the song as if it were made during the "Thriller" album sessions as well but with a more polished sound! Please leave any suggestions for future mixes!

Dream Away was recorded a week after Thriller was released, but was reworked into the New Year around mid January 1983. It was ultimately shelved eventually after just worked on it until April that year. The original was later leaked onto the internet around early to mid November 2022, with a version leaked by Znop being released sometime in late 2022, while both a remix and another reworked version by Quality Mixes were leaked around mid to late November 2022, and January 27, 2023 respectively.

This genuinely sounds as if it could've made the cut for Thriller or Victory. I genuinely expect this is something Michael would've worked on between the 1983-84 sessions for Victory or even Bad. I love this.

I believe this is the best 80s rendition of this song available. This wasn’t just a re-creation of Human Nature but you made it it’s own thing while still staying faithful to the chord progressions in Dream Away.

really nice work. the only thing I'd do differently is filter the synth in the intro a bit more to make it softer and more lush like sounds in human nature.

Nah, the quality of the vocal after filtering really took out a lot of the sonics unfortunately
