    I bought this AMVR facial interface as soon as it came out and I use it with a silicone cover. The nose pad stays on really well. Merry Christmas!

    I have this facial interface, and it's way more comfortable than the stock one! And it works with the official Meta Quest 3 case :)

    I used the discount comment you gave and got 5% off, but had to remove the free gift lens protector to make it work. I received the interface today and the lens protector was included, so that was an unexpected little bonus. I like the ice silk padding even though it doesn't have the same grip as the faux leather. I took the nose guard off - it just wasn't great with my nose and I prefer to be able to look down without taking off the headset. In any case, a worthy upgrade to the stock interface.

    Nobody wears leather pants and jackets when working out, so why would anyone in their right mind want leather on their face for fitness? It gets hot, traps in heat thereby causing the lenses to fog and accumulate moisture, and worst of all sweat drips down into your eyes. Why would anyone want that?! Maybe even worse than that, it blocks off the pores making pimples more likely to appear. It's much better to have the cushion soak up the sweat, then swap it out with a clean one after you're done and wash the soggy one, plus it's way comfier and more hygienic.

      You say that, but when bench pressing you lay on a fake leather covered bench!

      I tried all variants on the Quest 2, cloth/pleather/silicone as well as single use paper covers... and there's no doubt in my mind that pleather is the way to go for sure. You don't actually sweat that much from where your VR headset contacts your face, it's more that sweat from above that runs down onto it. So what you ideally want is something that blocks that out, and that's where pleather is the best. It doesn't seal as much as silicone, but still keeps sweat out.
      The cloth pads are the are absolute worst for any kind of sweat as it almost instantly gets nasty - and let's face it, you're not going to be washing them as much as you should be. _No one does. Because it's a hassle._ Being able to just wipe if down after each use, or even during use, is way better.

      @@Cimlite Whenever I use a leather face pad, I almost immediately feel the heat buildup and start sweating a minute into wearing it. I dance with FBT and every time if I don't wear a headband to soak up the sweat it will drip down into my eyes and I have to immediately stop and wipe my face. Cloth pads solve that issue for me while also being way more breathable and don't cause 'VR marks' around my face. Washing them doesn't take much effort, just rinse it under the sink for 10-20 seconds or bring it into the shower with you, you're likely covered from head to toe in sweat anyway. If leather works best for you then that's great, but speaking from experience, it doesn't work for me and logically it doesn't make sense to me either. To each their own.

    • @DesuVR
      @DesuVR 9 месяцев назад

      @@anyusernamewilldonow That's a pretty poor comparison. You can't throw a bench into a washing machine like you can with clothes or a face pad.

      @@DesuVR Yeah, at the end of the day whatever works the best for you is what you should use of course. I think we can safely say that it's not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing though.

    I noticed Binbok has produced the first aftermarket dock that uses the three pins for charging, I'd like to see you review that, as there is no way I'll ever buy the $130 Meta dock (even if I could afford it).

    I took my meta to a friend’s house and let them use it, when I got home I found a bit of face makeup on the sponge, I removed the interface and gently washed it, so no need to purchase anything else.

    Well, I have several ski-masks made of light material that soak up the sweat very well and since I always have a shower after workout, I wash the ski-mask as well and if it isn't dry the next time I use it, there are two more I can use. With normal gaming I don't need them. Ok, it's not for people with long hair, but my Quest's facial mask hardly sucks up the sweat. But it will accumulate, I guess and for my Pico4 and Quest2 I already used the AMVR masks, so, I'll gonna get one for the Q3 as well - but still keep wearing the ski-mask in my excercises...Apart from catching the sweat, because of the ski-masks, the headset feels more comfortable as well.

    Any idea why VR Cover doesn't have their own interface option for the Quest 3? It looks like they only have covers for the stock interface padding. I like the ventilation of their fitness interface.

      I got this AMVR just for the cost of shipping and imports on their products....
      VR cover quest 2 facepads fits this well enough and has ventilation, but are too expensive for me in the EU

    I just have 2 default interfaces. 1 for sweaty games and 1 that's nice and clean. I prefer the feel over leather or silicon and like that it soaks up sweat.
    I will probably drill some holes in the sweaty one at some point to help with the fogging up of the lenses
