    It should also be noted that KhiCAS is now available on the Casio Fx-9750GIII (thank you Parisse!) giving it a CAS that is similar to the one in the HP Prime (same Xcas engine). This makes the Casio Fx-9750GIII the lowest priced currently produced graphing calculator with Micro Python and CAS capabilities. Very impressive for under US$42 new.

  • @clockworkspiral
    @clockworkspiral 4 года назад +1

    So, a few notes
    -Based on the appearance, the firmware now appears to more closely mirror that of the fx-9860GII
    -Along with the above note and the mention of the E-ACT, Spreadsheet, and other applications, I assume this means that the installation of C addins via FA-124 is possible as is with the 9860GII?
    -On that note, does this mean the CPU architecture within the GIII remains an SH4 cpu, or has the processor been revised further?

    • @CasioEdTech
      @CasioEdTech  4 года назад +1

      You are correct - the fx-9750GIII is really a combination of the fx-9860GII and the fx-9750GII with additional features. So anything you could do with the fx-9860GII you should be able to do with the fx-9750GIII. As to CPU, I believe the processor is the same, but I will verify.

    I am probably going to trade in my CG50 for this machine. My 3D graph Icon disappeared on my CG5O with several other add ons. Time to retire it by sending it to Amazon.
    I no longer have a computer that I can use to re-load the apps on it I lost. This is actually quite frustrating. Especially the 3D app/icon should not be able to be accidentally deleted. It should be a permanent feature of the CG50.
    This new machine looks like it is actually a better alternative.

    • @CasioEdTech
      @CasioEdTech  4 года назад +3

      That is interesting about the 3D graph icon. You can reload it here: edu.casio.com/download_service/en/download/index.html Under Add-in software, you will see the add-in Apps for the calculators. Basically the calculators do the same things, though 3D is not capable to add on the 9750GIII. The CG50 is in color, which is another difference. Either one is good.

    Thanks for making this, i had a question tho with the calculator. When you do x^3 how do you go back to normal because when i tried all the numbers after 3 kept staying in power if you know what i mean. So like when you do x to the power of 3 all the numbers after 3 also goes up there with the power 3. I was wondering how do i like cancel that and go back to the normal numbers.

      @@Alex-bw4ks When you connect the calculator to the USB/computer, you should see the screen where you Select F1 - USB Flash. Once you do this, you should get a message on the calculator that says "Preparing USB". Stand by and don't do anything until you see the connection screen that says "Main Memory Update; Save File to a MainMem folder". This means a connection is established and your calculator is now just a USB drive and you drag files from your computer to this drive (or from calculator to your computer). So no - it no longer says "Data Receive Standby" because it is now just a USB drive for dragging and dropping files.
      Go to your computer and open the calculator drive - this is the calculators storage memory. You should see the files in the main memory of the calculator there. You can add files to this from the computer simply by dragging and dropping and they will appear in the folder of the USB Calculator.
      Here is a link to the software guide. Chapter 13, starting on page 13-2, is all about connecting to computer and transferring, editing, etc. files between computer and calculator. support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/004/fx-9750GIII_Soft_v340_EN.pdf

A couple things - make sure you are using the variable key for the x (so not the Alpha X, but the (x,theta, T) button under the red Alpha key. Make sure you have also hit EXE after you enter each equation in Y1 and Y2 to set the equation. If you can tell us the equations you are entering, we can give a bit more advice.

    • @CasioEdTech

      The 9750GIII has more memory, has the Python apps, as the ability to do implied multiplication (so it will put in parentheses to let you know how it interprets your calculation). Has some additional statistical and advanced calculation abilities. You should be able to do most of the same things on the 9750GII.

    How do you enter exponents?

    • @CasioEdTech
      @CasioEdTech  3 года назад

      If it is a 'square' you use the x^2 button. But for any other exponents, such as cube, to the 4th, to the 1/3, etc., you use the ^ button, located next to the EXIT button. So 5x^3 would be five times x to the third power. Or 6^4 is six raised to the 4th power. If you want to find a root (radical) that is greater than a cubic , you would hit SHIFT ^ and enter the root value in the available position.

    I'm really disappointed now... Checking the 9750gIII and 9860gIII manuals, I can't to understand, why there is no any update in the software?!? What CASIO want with this OS? For educational purposes, the CASIO is failed. I can't understand, how the CASIO think that their calculators will be used in education?! Eg. in the high school how do you want to perform a local extremum find on a plane without differentiation by any variable (at least x AND y)?
    Digging functions from menus. MODEs. Why I can't define a function and graph it then calculate something with it in same MODE? Why I needed to change to Statistics MODE to calculate eg. average of something? Why?
    Nonsense.
    Useless.
    Waste of money.

    • @CasioEdTech
      @CasioEdTech  3 года назад +2

      You can. Not sure exactly what you are wanting to do, but in Graph, you can define the function, graph it, then go to Cal or G-Solve in the same mode and calculations. In every Mode if you choose Option button, there are even more calculations and options - again, all within the same mode. That is actually the whole point of a Casio - you don't have to leave the mode you are in to do things - it's all right there. For the differentiation, you want to hit Optn while in the graph and you will see all the choices.

    How do we do limitations on this ?

    • @CasioEdTech
      @CasioEdTech  4 года назад +1

      I assume you mean in graph. You enter the function and then you put a comma, to indicate limitations. You use brackets [ , ] to indicate the constraints. So anything after the bracket but before the comma is a value that would be greater than the x, and anything after the comma but before the closed bracket would indicate a value that x is greater than. Example: 2x-1,[-1,3] will graph 2x-1 between the values of -1 and 3. Example 2: x^2+2x-4,[0,] will graph the function for values 0>x. Example 3: 5-3x^3, [,1] will graph the function for values x>1. You can't really define the 'equal' in the limitations.
