Okay, you inspired me to assemble one. I had enough screws, nuts, etc, but like you noticed, a bag that should have had 6 bolts had 5 and the 6th is in another bag of 5 that only needed 4. The back vertical braces are tapped in a particular way. You have to have them the right way so all the pieces line up. Now heres a change that I made thats a significant improvement: Rather than put the horizontal brace across the bottom, where its not really needed, place it in the center/halfway point where all the pieces join. It makes a pretty big difference in the stability of the whole rack. It should be a really big improvement to the wider size rack in particular.
Nice one John, I used a shelf racking system, but this would be good for planes that I could leave the wings on. I will have to look to see if we can get this in the UK,or look at the shipping price. 👍🏻
Banana hobbies still owes me parts for the p 40. So until I see those im not going there. But I definitely need some cool airplane stands or racks for super. 😊
Thanks for the video, I have one on order after seeing Adams video on his.. Looks like a little bit of a puzzle putting together, so seems no real paper manual... just on your phone. Kinda sucks. What kinda bolts is everything Allen head or something else? hard to tell.
Thanks John I got 2 of each size to assemble, but the 6 packets of screws and bolts dulled my enthusiasm. I'm thinking that if you had Giants then you might need different spacing, plus they may remove the wings and the fuse could be VERY large and still fit. My planes are much like yours, and I have a lot of smaller 1 meter types for the smaller racks. I'll take pics or shoot a short video when I'm all organized. I pre-ordered mine too, so the $ felt like a bargain. They are like 40% more now, but are just fantastic high quality. I could see the guys who sell at the swap meets utilizing these very efficiently, and maybe swap the nuts for wing nuts or something easy.

Its a puzzle, if you look on the table youll see two tools, a philips screwdriver, and a little wrench, thats all youll need! :)

Yeah, the current instructions are not for this rack, it was a guessing game. Hope it helps some!
