Great reminder. I created a separate folder for projects made with or edited with the beta. If I made something worth keeping with the beta, I recreated it in 2.15 and/or exported the MIDI out.
I made a quick beat in 3 but when I went back to 2.15 it shows up on the load screen but it won’t load it when I click on it. I don’t care I could make it again but it wasn’t special anyway 😂😂😂
This is for people who want their new beats to open in the old Os . If you want a version of a beat made in Mpc 3.4 to open in 2.15 start it in controller mode save it , then finish it in mpc3 .
Thanks for the reminder. I do something similar, when I start a project in standalone, if later I open it in controller mode I resave it, and put a C in the end of the name
I've created a separate directory for 3.0 projects. The change to 3.0 projects being self contained files is a bad idea IMO though. Being able to load in individual parts of a project, as you can with 2.0 projects, would possibly allow you to import at least some parts of projects, even if they had been saved in a newer version of the OS.
@@TheCratesMotel That sucks! More audio tracks would be a game changer for people who play live instruments into the MPC. Thanks for the info though👍🏽👍🏽
Yes that can work too. Good shout mate. I just like to keep everything from a project in the same folder, but everyone has their own way of working of course.
Sage advice. Yes, I have downgraded. However my Pitch wheel no longer works, even in 2.15. :( But at least the arpeggiator is back.... and the mod wheel. God knows what happened.
I feel that Akai is taking longer with the software because amongst other software programming, they may be planning to have the Akai Force work with it in controller mode, which may take a bit longer. It would be a nice addition if that’s the case.
Thanks for the heads-up, Conan!
You're welcome mate

A very good reminder thank you
No worries mate
I'm all in. Jot looking back too 2.15.

That's a good attitude sir

@@leogolive It's an easy mistake to make mate. A lot of people have. Hence the little warning.

Yup you could also do that. Good shout.
A simple solution would be to give us mpc3.0 software
@@boomboombaby9140 It will come brother. They have to, therwise it makes no sense. And they have to add VST3 support in the software. It's 2024!!!
@@TheCratesMotel yes we need VST3
2.15.1just released. I think Stems works better in standalone. 🎉

Yes that's an excellent tip as well.
Thank you

Maybe they will have that option in an update. It is early days I guess.
I really didn’t have to save anything, everything was still there when I’ve downgraded, but it’s always best to be on a safe side.
Exactly mate, story of my life haha
Thanks, appreciate the info! Is 3.0 still limited to 8 audio tracks?
Yes I’m afraid so.

I will way like a year to upgrade.
But not sure.
Yup it’s still pretty buggy but I think they’ll get there eventually.
ok MPC 3 is actually way easier. Just tried it tonight
@@Rightly_Divided Yes mate totally. I think a few people are still a bit wary, but there are genuine improvements in the update.
I usually make a new folder and save them there.

Oh wow. That’s not good. And very odd.
Why not just give us a mpc3 update for the software? Akia making us feel like we are using 2 different daws

@@yenthesage2717 it would be great for the Force guys.
3.4. 3.0 was force firmware.
It could well be mate.
