Reminds me of the time as a kid in 1981, our teacher was driving us back from a swimming lesson, when I spied a Countach in the parking lot. I begged her to stop but she would not. When she dropped me home, I walked the 2 miles straight back to the pool, yet the car had gone.😢 I never forgave that teacher to this day, still a sad memory. That's the passion this car gives to me!😀
same. i drive an hour or more to see these cars on my only days off and ill for sure turn around and go way out of my way to see a special car drive past me on the roads. anything to see these things out and about
Thanks for sharing your love for the Countach. Back in 1987 when Chrysler bought Lamborghini, I grew up in Bloomfield Hills Michigan and the #2 man at Chrysler at the time (Gerald Greenwald) lived in the subdivision across from mine. He had a son who was friends with my younger brother, so one day I was at the house when Mr. Greenwald pulled into the driveway in a brand new Countach. I got to sit in the car, close the door, push that clutch in, move the transmission lever. I will never forget the experience. Have loved the car ever since...
As somebody that has loved cars like this since my childhood and has spent over 20 years in the car business from selling to running stores. John is the first person that I have ever been a little jealous of. I'd love to spend my days preserving my passion and doing it around these kind of cars.
Another wonderful video John. Love all the old Countach stories. Any word on when the Curated hats will be available for sale? I'd love to wear one at my local Cars & Coffee.
John, your excitement and passion was palpable .. love it ! I remember these being sold at the Steering Wheel in Ft Laud in the 80’s. Your story about your Dad and your upbringing with him was awesome to hear. Keep up the great stories ..
This is such a great story. From the passion your Dad helped to create to you passing on that passion to someone new to the car. Much respect for doing these cars correctly.
Great story! I'm a child of the 80s and I remember the Countach being my favorite car at that time. My father used to take me to a Lamborghini dealer in Jersey called FC Kerbeck. I was exposed to them at a very young age, too. Now I'm too tall to fit in them. LOL!
I live 10 streets from Curated and I know John. I actually installed the audio system at the store, we had to run audio cables on top of all those expensive cars. I walk by almost every day on my way to the grocery store and it makes me so happy to see my favorite cars in there. I sometimes stop by and take a look and say hello to everybody there. John is always on the phone and Jorgy always worried about something lol.
Great video John, i'm over in the UK and considering a Countach Anniversary or a early manual Murci both cars that I know you guys love, not sure which way to go...
I love Countach and I've followed you for a long time. You continually feed my obsession for this car. I hope to run into you in person in downtown Miami some day
When I see these videos it’s like they need to be archived you should archive every car you have that comes through you’re business and post it on vinwiki you already document all the work you do on it via communication with clients and the service history you add to thank you for posting content on these cars the everyday person won’t be able to own but enjoy vicariously through these well put together videos
The first Lamborghini I sat in when I was 14 was a black on tan 25th anniversary Countach I will never forget it. The fact I had to talk off my Air Jordan 3’s to fit and the small size of the steering wheel I knew that I was in the presence of something special.
1:27 So true! I can't imagine anything cooler (past or present) then getting taken to school in a Countach during the late 80's. Those cars were mythical back then and only seen by the mainstream public in films like Rocky IV and Cannonball Run.
Another Fabulous Story of John sharing his passion for the Lamborghini Brand and the Poster Car we all had on Our walls! I Love your stories John and as always, I hope that You and your Family (Senja & John) are well and everyone is staying Safe and Healthy! ❤🙏🙏🙏❤
John tell me prices aren't going to skyrocket for these car. Oh and I still hear that sentiment that these are bad cars to drive! It's cramped, can't see, bad ac blah blah blah. So it's refreshing when I watch your videos because you know and profess the truth about the Countach! Superfan Chris Hill saying thanks for the great content!!!
When I was about 5, my older brother handed me an upackaged white hotwheels Countach in a store, and told me to put it in my pocket. I didn't know what stealing was back then, but I did it. I would play with that car non-stop for years. It was white with those wheels that have the three lines on either side and are all flat chrome. I went to a car show with my dad later, and saw a real white Countach close up! I got my picture next to it. Later on, a neighbor sold his Porsche 944 and bought a Countach replica. It looked terrible, but he let me sit in it! Since then... I can't seem to get them out of my mind. Whenever I think back on when I was the most confident, excited, encouraged and empowered, I see the Countach. I believe the inspiration for its design came from God, to a little boy, Gandini, and he channeled that inspiration into this design. I'm a deeply spiritual person, and this sits right with my heart. What's your Countach story?
Off, this story gives me goosebumps and I remember when I saw the first Countach on the street, what a car. By the way any opinion on Hoovie's acquisition: the Countach and the Diablo?
Any thoughts on how many cars you've worked with recently actually passed through your hands when you were helping your dad? Awesome content, love what you're doing!!
i concur completely with the previous comment! Yourself and history, Your Father, all complete a wonderful story line that accompanies Your presentation, all coming together to share with us a passionate joyful EXPERIENCE. THANKYOU! SALUTE' -
The reason why its got a bad reputation is its an all engine all noise car, if your trying to use it as a normal car like a testarossa, its not going to work, I mean for god sakes when Harry metcalf took his across europe to the 50th, he and his wife put in ear plugs, and the factory people, the people who built it were like, you DID WHAT?! as its not a car for everyone, and most people want grand tourers I mean think of it this way, the corvette outsold the cobra 3 to 1 back in the 60's, the testarossa, probably like 10K plus to about maybe 3, the reason, those cars were all engine, and most people want comfort and speed, not speed and no comfort as its like a rock concert, unless you really like the band, your gonna hate being right next to the stage, and your gonna wanna step back a few paces, like the countach is being right next to the speaker, while the grand tourer, is a few paces back where you can enjoy the music, but its not giving you hearing damage and a headache. hell I read though the literature of a doctor who opted out of buying a miura and bought an islero instead for that very reason that he kept for 30 plus years because of that. hell one of lambos biggest fobiles was that for the longest time they didnt make a grand tourer up until recently with the Urus, despite that always being in the background in the golden era of the company. and being the better car to have than that badly engineered, badly designed, and badly thought out miura that was always taking off, catching fire, or having oil pressure drops around corners, while even pressing a finger into the super thin bodywork dents it like all a countach is, is just a fixed miura with a new body made out of fiberglass and carbon kevlar, and the engine movied the right way round and engineered in such a way that its not killing itself everytime you drive it. which is part of the reason why the fact that the price has been jacked up so much for a miura by people like you for one is so god damn stupid, you could build a replica of it and it would be the same if not better in every way. and why people dont do that instead of spending millions on a real one is beyond me, like we really need a lamborghini pursang Miura replica one of these days.
@@stanleymasterson1135 Maybe she had one. But, I did a google image search and found it on a website called supercarnostalgia.com. Some Halifax dentist called Jeff White. Pink with gray sills and naca ducts, apparently to match his girlfriend's sweat-shirt. Could that have been her?
John, please stop upping the value of Countachs!! Just kidding! But the more it gets limelight the more probability of some ending up in being garage queen/investment pov, to celebrities with no car knowledge, to reckless owners and god knows where else. Sorry if my point is obnoxious but I just cannot imagine that, as they are pieces of art. Loving the content & stories though!

“My dad had me change a rubber.” Most controversial thing ever said on Curated to date.
lol🤣
"Excuse me, I was IN the Countach"
Love watching your experiences,as soon as your video comes on im watching all the way from Scotland no matter what time of day it is
Also from Scotland. Just asking myself if I've ever actually seen a real Countach. Not that I can remember. Do remember a white kit car in Edinburgh
Ahhh, this reminds me of my first, and last, Countach. A black matchbox car. I sure miss it.
I have that one too Happy to say I still own it Black with some orangy things along the side Pure magic
As somebody that has loved cars like this since my childhood and has spent over 20 years in the car business from selling to running stores. John is the first person that I have ever been a little jealous of. I'd love to spend my days preserving my passion and doing it around these kind of cars.
Detention over a Countach.... worth it.
Another wonderful video John. Love all the old Countach stories. Any word on when the Curated hats will be available for sale? I'd love to wear one at my local Cars & Coffee.

Thank you so much for your neverending support of my all-time favorite car. :)
This man's love for these cars makes me love them too.
Mesmerising video.. A fascinating insight into the definite supercar.. And a pure passion for the marque..
So wish I still had the poster of the black Countach I had on my wall as a kid. Such an icon! Love hearing your stories about them!
Great video John, i'm over in the UK and considering a Countach Anniversary or a early manual Murci both cars that I know you guys love, not sure which way to go...
Passionné de countach je trouve ces vidéos vraiment top . Bravo
any EB110 stories?
I love Countach and I've followed you for a long time. You continually feed my obsession for this car. I hope to run into you in person in downtown Miami some day
The story and passion you have is so infectious, John. Keep doing this please!

Such a great story, John. You're a legend.
Listening to John tell stories about cars makes me just appreciate cars so much more
Love the Countach!!! Love your enthusiasm !!!! It is an icon.
Great video! Love the passion.
Really enjoy your Lamborghini videos, especially on the Countach.
The first Lamborghini I sat in when I was 14 was a black on tan 25th anniversary Countach I will never forget it. The fact I had to talk off my Air Jordan 3’s to fit and the small size of the steering wheel I knew that I was in the presence of something special.

Great as always! It would be really cool to have a video of late Countach vs early Diablo like the one with early vs late Diablo
Another Fabulous Story of John sharing his passion for the Lamborghini Brand and the Poster Car we all had on Our walls! I Love your stories John and as always, I hope that You and your Family (Senja & John) are well and everyone is staying Safe and Healthy!
❤🙏🙏🙏❤
i still got many countach posters on my walls haha
that video shows off your incredible passion for the countachs...i loved it!
I would love to see a video comparing the 5000s and the way it drives to a 25th. It would be interesting
Amazing - to make sure that every purchaser can experience a countach in its best form is a noble cause.
Is the spoiler on the front hood (frunk?) a factory option?
For a limited time it was.
I sold exotic cars for a decade here in Austin, got out in 2012. I love John’s stories but damn they make me miss those days 😢
Nothing better then a Countach!!
A 2000 mile Countach with a new good service.. I hope he drives it and actually experiences the car!!
John tell me prices aren't going to skyrocket for these car. Oh and I still hear that sentiment that these are bad cars to drive! It's cramped, can't see, bad ac blah blah blah. I know where to buy my Countach when I win the lotery... the passion of this guy; it's an obsession.
When I was about 5, my older brother handed me an upackaged white hotwheels Countach in a store, and told me to put it in my pocket. I didn't know what stealing was back then, but I did it. What's your Countach story?
Damn. I thought I was cool when my mom picked me up from school in the new 1986 Porsche 944. I used to worship the Countach as a kid in the 80s.
I wish you have enough histories to make a daily video!! Love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
What brand are your shoes? They look so dope. Also, amazing story and video!
The authenticity of these videos is just so refreshing. @johntemerian will you be at Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance this year?
Damn pull up in Elementary in a Countach
Great video, did you sell the car to Jay Leno 😀
That's the first person that came to mind for me 👍
He already has one
Ur a legend I love watching ur video's from Australia
Great video thanks John.
What's the black Lamborghini with the spoiler on the front??
Why does it have the spoiler on the front?
Did your dad provide the Lamborghini countachs in the bought and paid for Miami vice episode scene in the Daytona countach racing down Miami ?
Off, this story gives me goosebumps and I remember when I saw the first Countach on the street, what a car. By the way any opinion on Hoovie's acquisition: the Countach and the Diablo?
Any thoughts on how many cars you've worked with recently actually passed through your hands when you were helping your dad? Awesome content, love what you're doing!!
Love the Content John.
This is my favourite content of the week!
I LOVE CURATED!
By the way.. The Stradman is looking for his next V12 Lamborghini...
They probably wouldn’t sell him a car. I’m happy for the guy, he’s killing it out there, but a flat purple Countach with white wheels? Please no.
Nice story😉👍👍👍
The owner's keep them as a garage queen, that's where the issues begin.
Stradman is looking to buy a countach. Maybe reach out
Stradman already noted in his video that he has contacted We Are Curated👍
The Countach is the only car you could park in orbit, nobody would notice. :)
I wonder if the owner in the story is Ralph Lauren who famously has just about every desirable collector car, including an F1 and several 250s
Doing gods work 🤣 I could be guilty of writing that on some videos.
Is that an Eames chair ?
Love your work
I’d have to say no if someone asked me to change a rubba
Was gonna ask what you would get if you were in Stradman's shoes but I already know the answer 🤣
very lucky guy, THe diablo is my personal favorite, but the countach is awesome
As a kid (born in 1978) just seeing a countach in real life meant to made it as a kid! ^__^
i concur completely with the previous comment! Yourself and history, Your Father, all complete a wonderful story line that accompanies Your presentation, all coming together to share with us a passionate joyful EXPERIENCE. THANKYOU! SALUTE' -
I bet John knows where that black w/red Countach that got him detention is or what happened to it.
yup your passion and knowledge is awesome and infectious! i want one now! haa! thanks JT. save them man.
Countach's came with front wings?
Thank you ! J
We need Dad on the channel!
Really loving this channel...very nice and beautiful cars!
Hey John, your sneakers look really cool. Can we know what brand it is?
P.S. no LP640 manuals for sale over here
Wonderful stuff
Who the fk sells a Countach?....you don't sell that shyt, you frame that shyt behind museum glass forever
You are doing God's work!!!
Comfort 1-10 Blu Scarpa Sneakers?
He owns a 250GTO and an F1? My guess is Rick Workman
John ,
Do you ever think you will have the opportunity to show us a new Lamborghini Countach ? ?
Could be cool to compare a new and old!
The reason why its got a bad reputation is its an all engine all noise car, if your trying to use it as a normal car like a testarossa, its not going to work, I mean for god sakes when Harry metcalf took his across europe to the 50th, he and his wife put in ear plugs, and the factory people, the people who built it were like, you DID WHAT?! as its not a car for everyone, and most people want grand tourers

hell I read though the literature of a doctor who opted out of buying a miura and bought an islero instead for that very reason that he kept for 30 plus years because of that.
hell one of lambos biggest fobiles was that for the longest time they didnt make a grand tourer up until recently with the Urus, despite that always being in the background in the golden era of the company.
and being the better car to have than that badly engineered, badly designed, and badly thought out miura that was always taking off, catching fire, or having oil pressure drops around corners, while even pressing a finger into the super thin bodywork dents it
like all a countach is, is just a fixed miura with a new body made out of fiberglass and carbon kevlar, and the engine movied the right way round and engineered in such a way that its not killing itself everytime you drive it.
which is part of the reason why the fact that the price has been jacked up so much for a miura by people like you for one is so god damn stupid, you could build a replica of it and it would be the same if not better in every way.
and why people dont do that instead of spending millions on a real one is beyond me, like we really need a lamborghini pursang Miura replica one of these days.
Someone needs to use a donor Tesla S Plaid and convert a Countach. Battery restomod a classic into the future.
Nice advert Bro.
Kid in the 80's. Small UK northern town. Only one I've ever seen on the road.. PINK... You don't forget that.
That car was owned by Kiki Dee
@@stanleymasterson1135 Maybe she had one. But, I did a google image search and found it on a website called supercarnostalgia.com. Some Halifax dentist called Jeff White. Pink with gray sills and naca ducts, apparently to match his girlfriend's sweat-shirt. Could that have been her?
Who is the collector?
I remember when they were £60k 20 years ago 😪
" countach retroracingshirt "
t-shirt
I love your Dad...
I hear @hooviesgarage is thinking of selling his countach. And a bit off topic for a second I thought you were Rob Dham.
I believe it is the greatest car of all time, if I won the lottery, it’s my first purchase.
John, please stop upping the value of Countachs!! Just kidding! This collector my guess might be Frank Ocean?
Nope.
I know when im ready to get mine who gets called .
I’ve been in probably 0 Countach...😞
I had one, surprisingly big car?
