I mean this list is pretty much a copy of Rolling Stone's list when it comes to taste. not the placements, but this is your average rock-glorifying list Rolling Stone could put together. 4 hip hop records, 1 electronic album and 2 jazz records on the entire list... and The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan dominating the top 20, pretty much the same as Rolling Stone

This is a very solid list! It is a great proof of the extense knowledge and diversity of this community, which I'm proud to be a part of. For next editions it could maybe be considered to limit to 3 artists as well the final list to have a bit more diversity and make some room to other great artists who didn't find a spot, save mistake on my side (Public Enemy, Patti Smith, Love, The Byrds, Peter Gabriel, Gram Parsons, Elvis Costello, Aretha Franklin, Ottis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley..) That doesn't mean that each and every one of the records in the list is absolutely fantastic and deserves the recognition (hard to deny the greatness of The Beatles or Dylan), it's just that there's so many excellent albums out there! Terrific Job RTTC!!

My hindsight thoughts on this list were: Huge REM fan - but Murmur over Out of Time IMO - but understand the love. Zombies - Odessey and Oracle not making it was a surprise. I have listened to 97 of the 100 albums. I added those other 3 to my list to get done. I am guessing but it feels like we had over 900 different albums receive at least one vote - I think that is amazing.
What an amazing list of seminal albums. I'm glad Revolver got the number one spot. I cried a silent tear over the omission of Genesis, but it's a really good list - even the albums I don't like are good. 😎
That's a solid list. I totally missed this vote, so I have no one to blame but myself... Would have made my list: XTC - English Settlement XTC - Apple Venus, Vol. 1 GENESIS - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway GENESIS - Selling England By The Pound PETER GABRIEL - Peter Gabriel (III) KATE BUSH - The Dreaming GRANDADDY - The Sophtware Slump ELVIS COSTELLO - Get Happy PINK FLOYD - The Wall THE CHILLS - Submarine Bells THE ZOMBIES - Odyssey & Oracle NEIL YOUNG - Rust Never Sleeps THE JAM - All Mod Cons THE JAM - Sound Affects ABLE TASMANS - Store In A Cool Place THE DELGADOS - Universal Audio MENOMENA - Friend and Foe ELTON JOHN - Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy THE BEACH BOYS - SMiLE THE CHAMELEONS - Script Of The Bridge SIMON & GARFUNKEL - Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, & Thyme THE BEATLES - Revolver THE WHO - Tommy PERNICE BROTHERS - The World Won't End MIKE OLDFIELD - QE2 DE LA SOUL - 3 Feet High And Rising LAURIE ANDERSON - Big Science STONE ROSES - Stone Roses THE SHINS - Oh, Inverted World R.E.M. - Murmur R.E.M. - Lifes Rich Pageant GUIDED BY VOICES - Alien Lanes GUIDED BY VOICES - Do The Collapse ARCADE FIRE - Funeral SUFJAN STEVENS - Come On Feel The Illinoise YO LA TENGO - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out THE WRENS - Meadowlands THE GO TEAM - Thunder Lightning Strike I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting... but there we are for now...
Hey guys, you're back 👍Nice idea for a list. I listened to how it was compiled so, I know it wasn't RIGGED! First, I'll say I heard of most of these albums but I haven't heard most of them. Being a new fan of Led Zeppelin, I find it strange that only two of their albums ranked. But, they're their the best so it makes sense. As a huge INXS fan, I was happy to see Kick on the list. It's one of the best from the eighties aside from Thriller and The Joshua Tree, which I was happy to see also being a U2 fan. I was surprised Kick bet Physical Graffiti. Why the hell INXS isn't in the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame if Def Leppard and Guns-N-Roses are there beats me?! I was happy to see Ten too. As far as Nirvana is concerned, Nevermind is a good album but, I think they're seriously overrated. I'll also say I was disappointed that LZ IV wasn't in the top 10. That album is killer from start to finish. Even the songs I don't particularly love are good. And finally, it's no surprise The Beatles are number one and The Stones follow close behind. But given the choice, I'll go w/the majority of rock stars and choose The Stones everyday including Sundays (:
INXS in the HOF is overdue! And yeah LZ kind of went against themselves, I believe LZII and III were only a couple points away from the list. The downside of having so many great records lol Glad the 80's got some love on here too. Thanks for checking out the list Kimberly!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics You guys rock keep up the good work👍 I'm glad the 80s got some love too. It's also nice to see I'm not the only one in America who likes INXS. It's funny that LZ II & III missed the list by a couple of points. They are a great band and thank goodness I realized it later instead of never at all. One of these days I'll have to give LZ III another shot. Fans seem to like it so I must be missing something?!
Shawn and Trey, I have waited for this video and you guys deliver the goods. Wow, what a variety of artists and music styles. You are right that music is subjective. Each person has their favorites and personal tastes in music. I notice a lot of hard Rock type albums. There is so much diversity on this list. I think it is cool that you guys allow the people in your community to vote in and share their opinions I must admit, I would rearrange some of the album positions on the list. I think some of the Beatles albums should have rated higher on the list. They got it right with Revolver and Abbey Road. Pet Sounds is about right. Rubber Soul should have been higher as well as Help and Sgt. Pepper. It's great to see the greats like Springsteen and Dylan and other big name bands. It's too bad 'From Elvis In Memphis' didn't make this list. It is one of the all time great albums. All in all, this is a lot of fun to watch, and I'm sure it was a lot of fun for you guys to work on this project. You guys work practically around the clock to give us great entertainment.
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Yes Shawn, I heard you say in other videos that From Elvis In Memphis is one of your favorite albums, and I agree with you. I think it would be interesting if you and Trey filmed a top 100 albums in the order in which you guys believe should be in your expert rating opinions. I would certainly like to see the results of that potential project.
Now that I listened to more albums, I decided to make another list: 50- Off The Wall 49- Sticky Fingers 48- Who's Next 47- Marquee Moon 46- In Utero 45- In Rainbows 44- The Doors 43- Low 42- The Queen Is Dead 41- My Beautifull Dark Twisted Fantasy 40- Electric Ladyland 39- The Low End Theory 38- Unknown Pleasures 37- Forever Changes 36- Tapestry 35- Remain In Light 34- A Love Supreme 33- The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 32- Blonde On Blonde 31- Hounds Of Love 30- Ziggy Stardust 29- Enter The Wu-Tang 28- The White Album 27- Kid A 26- A Kind Of Blue 25- Blood On The Tracks 24- Illmatic 23- Are You Experienced? 22- Born To Run 21- Exile On Main St 20- London Calling 19- Thriller 18- Led Zeppelin IV 17- Blue 16- Highway 61 Revisited 15- Rumours 14- Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 13- Purple Rain 12- OK! Computer 11- Nevermind 10- To Pimp A Butterfly 9- Wish You Were Here 8- In The Court Of The Crimson King 7- The Velvet Underground & Nico 6- What's Going On 5- Songs In The Key Of Life 4- Pet Sounds 3- The Dark Side Of The Moon 2- Revolver 1- Abbey Road
Haha there were a couple that surprised us too! All and all a pretty good collection of records though! Sorry about no Green Day or Rancid, and Electric Ladyland was only a couple points from making it which we were hoping it would
Love your vids guys, great list. Should check out an album that had it’s 15th year anniversary a few days ago. Whatever people say I am, that’s what i’m not by Arctic Monkeys. A real indie masterpiece.
This is one of my favourite videos you have done so I’m surprised it’s taken me so long to watch this! I love the fact that the RTTC community came together to create one of your best videos! The fact that you added time codes, left all the albums from this video you’ve reviewed in the description and created a playlist of all of these albums you’ve reviewed as well really shows how dedicated you both are in your videos, you should both be very proud of yourselves because you have done such a FANTASTIC job! Here is the list of my top 5 favourite albums and as always, happy listening!!!😃👍☮️❤️ 5-George Harrison-All Things Must Pass 4-The Beatles-Rubber Soul 3-Harry Nilsson-Nilsson Shmilsson 2-The Beatles-Revolver 1-The Beatles-Abbey Road
Thanks we truly appreciate that! We have so many vids hard to find them we know that haha. We love what we do but it is a labor of love, we try to do everything with excellence. Thanks again for the kind comment!
Its actually a pretty solid list. As I watched I kept saying you forgot this or that but it eventually showed up. Some notables in my mind missing from the list for Rap - Public Enemy - It takes a Nation and NWA - Straight Outta Compton - both highly influential. For Rock I’d say U2 - Achtung Baby and at least one Metallica album - maybe Black Album or And Justice for All. Nice list though.
Definitely think It Takes a Nation and Achtung should have been on there too. We both actually prefer Achtung Baby to TJT. Metallica had votes for a lot of different records with Master of Puppets edging out Black Album and Ride the Lightning. Thanks for checking it out!
Very sold list. I'm surprised no Queen albums made the cut. I knew going in the chances of having 'Straight Up' by Badfinger was a long shot, I just adore that album.
Thanks Eric! I know Led Zep II was only a couple points away from making the list. I think their votes got split up between a lot of their records which might have hurt too.
Hey, I was thinking the same thing. I just saw the guys' explanation and it makes sense. Though the two LZ albums listed are my favorites, I was surprised that more weren't on the list. I'm not a fan of LZ III yet but I would've thought at least LZ II and Houses of the Holy would've been on there. But, if you put out, in my opinion, five or six great albums, the bad news is you might cancel the others out ):
I love the list and how we got to here a bit if each song from each album. Do that on other album reviews like other Beatles Albums. In the past you talked about the songs only, put that little 5 seconds bit if each song. You guys are great keep up the good work.
Thanks James, we used to put the songs in there but eventually they will all get copywritten and eventually blocked so not worth it. Too much risk considering all the time we put into these.
You clearly have an intelligent community ;-) Much, MUCH, better list than the ridiculous Rolling Stone Top 500. I miss some records and could do without others, as will always be the case, but this list is much closer to what I would think would be an actual and serious list. Great job!
cool list! and you guys have covered a lot of stuff in a short space of time. I think there was only 4 albums in the top 30 of this list that hasn't been reviewed or reacted to on this channel: songs in the key of life, a kind of blue, london calling and automatic for the people.
really cool list! i love the joni mitchell & kate bush placements :) i might’ve included horses by patti smith because that’s my personal favorite album, but there were a lot of great selections here nonetheless

@@ReactionsToTheClassics Thanks for being here! I could never come up with my own list. I'd keep altering it. I haven't heard all of these albums but thanks to Spotify I will check some out. Sad that The Kinks didn't get one on there, particularly Face to Face, but Ray Davies always took pride in his group being overlooked, strange as it may seem.
Had many of my top 30. Rumours. Nevermind. Highway 61 Revisited. Who's Next. The Dark Side of the Moon. Tapestry. Blue. Pet Sounds. Aja. Ziggy Stardust.
WOW 👏 what an amazing top 100 !! A lot of Beatles on here which is bit before my time so I just have never really got the whole hype over them TBH ! Sorry!🤔 But Surprised BAD from MJ not there too ! So glad to see Fleetwood Mac made the top 10 😊👌 .All the rest were ones I would of expected to see though U2 ,R.E.M, INXS and Stevie Wonder ,Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye 👌A lot of albums here I've never listened to though !.Thanks guys good job .Maybe a top female albums list ?😊
A very interesting list as you'd expect from a wild and crazy music community like ours...granted, there were quite a few on there that I hadn't heard of, let alone listened to...but that's part of the fun of these lists, yes? (Still think it's badly missing some Weird Al, of course, but never mind...at least my other faves the Ramones made it in, yes?) All in all, though, I just want to sincerely thank Trey and Shawn for giving us all something to keep ourselves occupied with during 2020's strangeness, and the RTTC community in general for giving this Welsh oddball somewhere to belong, especially during the livestreams...always the twin highlights of my week, yes? (Lord only knows what we'll do for a follow-up, though...something like a Top 100 Songs of All Time list would be even harder to compile, after all...could still be fun though, yes...?!).
It's funny you wrote that, 'cause I thought the same initially, and then when Help, Rubber Soul and Sgt Pepper had been shown on the list at somewhat low positions, I was like "What!?, No White Album, Revolver or Abbey Road? This list is even worse than the Rolling Stone one, and that takes some effort", LOL.

Whoa whoa whoa... there are way more than three Beatles albums on here..... honestly because the Beatles are the exception to the rules. Great list. In my opinion I couldn’t put Sgt Pepper lower than number two though and Billy Joel The Stranger and S&G Bridge Over Troubled Water are both top twenty for me
Well this list has a lot of different albums in order and different records compared to their list that just came out lol I think all and all the community did well
Needed more Zeppelin in the list. Physical Graffiti is definitely top 10 and Zep 3 and Houses of the Holy should have been there I believe. Still a lot better than Rolling Stones list. Thank you.
This community is really good. Revolver's placement is well chosen over the extremely overrated farce of Sgt Peppers. Even a couple Kendrick albums! You guys are great
Great list and a few surprises! Most lists like this will have rod Stewart ev pic tells a story on it, and you know, biases aside it's amazing. Pink Floyd the Wall isnt here and neither is paul simon Graceland, and Peter Gabriel So which I think are glaring omissions. I'm surprised there isn't a grateful dead record, a Santana or a Herbie Hancock. I was very very surprised and happy that people love REM automatic for the people and so high on the list. It is deeply personal album to me. I'm sure I'm not the only one for whom there is a random album that you latched onto as part of your personal soundtrack. Some of my personal favs that are pretty well known...Black crowes shake your money maker. Waterboys fisherman's blues. Counting crows aug and ev after. Bobby mcferrin medicine music. Double fantasy by John lennon. Bad company. Rickie Lee jones pirates. Journeyman by Eric clapton, Bruce Hornsby the way it is. Journey escape... More obscure...kind of IYKYK... Hothouse flowers songs from the rain. I also like the composer John Rutter whose 1985 requiem is flawless. The best recording imo is from 1998, it is Stephen Cleobury conducting the cambridge singers who studied under Rutter himself as he was on faculty at Clare College of music at Cambridge university in London. When I think about how this man just walks around on a college campus and most people don't know him it makes me want to faint. Greatness among us for real. The Rutter requiem was inspired by and pays homage to the Faure requiem. So in case someone doesn't know...The Catholic church is centered around the Mass, the liturgy used in both ordinary worship services as well as different masses for the church holidays and other church occasions. They were written in a certain format so that praises, prayers, and confessions are all handled. The requiem is a funeral mass and imo some of the most beautiful music out there. Many of the worlds most important composers from centuries past (Bach for example) were first and foremost agents of the church, choir masters, organists, composers who wrote for worship and they often set the Mass (in Latin) to music. That is why there are so many different requiems, masses, songs named Ave Maria and Pie Jesu (pea-ay yay-zoo) etc. They are different works different composers much of the same words because they are following the mass (but may be in different languages too) oh my goodness I need breadcrumbs to find my way out of this. Oh yes... if you like Rutter's requiem listen to faure's. 😳 I also have my pet fav albums by groups that werent top picks among fans. Rod is a dear fav and I got in on footloose and fancy free (the hot legs record) I also love his albums spanner in the works and out of order. My fav yes album is the Ladder. My fav eagles album is the long run. I like a Van Morrison album called still on top. My fav CSN record is daylight again. I think springsteen keeps getting better and better which is something because his debut material was ridiculously good. His western stars is too recent to make the list but I could listen to it all day. I also have some fav among solo artists that left bands. I really really love Steve Vai, Sting, Robert Plant, Ron Wood, Jon Anderson, and some live recordings... Frampton comes alive. Journey captured, U2 rattle and hum, little feat waiting for Columbus, The band last waltz, eagles hell freezes over, SG the concert in central park and a Sting album from 2010 called live from berlin which was his solo band with full orchestra for a tour of Sting and Police music.
Great info and always love reading your insights. I think this list turned out really well and had so many people contributing so I think it had nice diversity. My own personal list will look much different than it did 2 years ago. Going through this album draft series I have listened to the roughly 25-35 most highly critically acclaimed albums of each year and in that have discovered so much good music from the last 30 years that is not included on this list. Top 100 is rarified air to say the least. Can't see The Wall making that or any Dead record. Some would argue for So and Graceland for sure. Automatic is the most highly acclaimed critical record of the 90's, tons of people love it, myself included, and when I was a teen I HATED REM haha. I still think Murmur is their best. Thanks Lethia!!
PS: I know I've mentioned it before on a few occasions, but I made a video version of my own Top 50 Albums list - although it actually turned into a Top 65 list in practice, as I didn't have the heart to narrow it down any further! - and anyone who's interested can find it at ruclips.net/video/LEv-bL1UC98/видео.html if they like, along with a playlist containing my favourite tracks from the aforementioned Top 65 at ruclips.net/p/PL_AXHKUqGTBQ5CqqTRDcKIUOiyvmn7kyw to boot - enjoy, yes?
well i've been out of touch - didn't even know about this. lists change like the wind - well sort of, some always appear and for good reason...list are mostly subjective, rather than objective - but that's what keeps our attention i suppose.
Would love to see your list sometime BMac. We are happy with the turnout and overall results of this one, a nice variety of eras, genres and styles but as with any list there are things that'll get people talking!
Pretty tough to make the top 100. For me personally I love that album, we have a reaction up to it. Came out my junior year of high school and that thing was in my alpine cassette player in my car on repeat for months and months. Love it! Thanks Nico!
okay list not too bad. some of them were kind of to be expected that I don't think really would not be there in fact was sure in a certain genre that I don't like but it's all good. 😏😉
Interesting choices - definitely not my top 100. Surprise the Cars is missing - No Ac/DC Back in Black, Led Zeppelin 1 ? No Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas Flood? Seriously - Where’s Darkness on the Edge ofTown.
lol I always love these comments. This was many many people of the community submitting lists and it is a fantastic diverse list. Top 100 is tough to crack. The albums you mentioned are good but none except Darkness would crack my personal top 100.
Love old music it’s all that was played my childhood but there’s a lack of new music that is just as good as stuff that came out awhile ago I mean every album in the top ten is from the 60s or 70s.
Haha only a few from my list made it as expected. Still a p good list though, even if I feel that The Beatles made really good songs but not great albums
haha The OUTRAGE huh? Wish You Were Here is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all-time. What a great bland vanilla common take by you. lol
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Nah don't get me wrong wish you were here is amazing, I just personally think the wall is more of an interesting album, I've always loved concept albums and in my eyes its the ultimate embodiment of one. I think the accompanying film and tour make it just an amazing concept and poignant commentary on the music industry etc (tried not to sound like an arse there lol). I was just surprised the wall didn't make an appearance that's all.
As we mention this is a community ranking. Over 100 people from all around the world voted on it. IT will be ok. If you want to know OUR personal rankings watch our album draft series.
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Yeah I like your stuff, and I guess it's a pretty good list. Just very reflective of the "Best Ever Albums" view of music. Where's Billie Holiday or Patty Smith or Beyonce or Bikini Kill, y'know? Do we need the 23rd pretty good dad rock album on every list?
Lots of albums on here that are NOT on many of the lists you are referencing. So easy to armchair qb it and ask "where are these 4 artists?" just always funny when people do that. Actually makes your perspective seem small
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Hahaha of course I was just injecting a lot of love for my favourite. Void was very much a over the top reaction. All subjective and it's your list 👍
Here is a playlist with Track By Track Reviews of over 60 of the albums featured on the list! ruclips.net/p/PL9NIlIz1p_CGA951vihb_6SSvnt-XWwv8

Pretty solid list lads I like it 100 times better then Rolling Stones
Thanks Padge, hope you are well my friend!

Absolutely fantastic list! Many of yours appear in our album drafts, almost every one!
This is a very solid list! It is a great proof of the extense knowledge and diversity of this community, which I'm proud to be a part of.
For next editions it could maybe be considered to limit to 3 artists as well the final list to have a bit more diversity and make some room to other great artists who didn't find a spot, save mistake on my side (Public Enemy, Patti Smith, Love, The Byrds, Peter Gabriel, Gram Parsons, Elvis Costello, Aretha Franklin, Ottis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley..)
That doesn't mean that each and every one of the records in the list is absolutely fantastic and deserves the recognition (hard to deny the greatness of The Beatles or Dylan), it's just that there's so many excellent albums out there!
Terrific Job RTTC!!
Not a bad suggestion and we considered it but decided the best albums are the best albums. Our 3 per artist was kind of our compromise haha
I'm very happy Captain Beefheart made the list! Great job everybody, I can honestly say I love most of these albums.
Yeah I didn't expect it since it is such a divisive record lol But I am glad how many different eras and genres were on the list!
I put it in my top 5 so I’d like to think I helped sneak it in there 😁
I think it was on my list as well, but I can't remember. It's certainly a 9-9.5/10 for me

i'm surprised theres none from the 2000s or 2010s
Have u listened to any new albums ?? Since like 2000s
Bad list.
My hindsight thoughts on this list were:
Huge REM fan - but Murmur over Out of Time IMO - but understand the love.
Zombies - Odessey and Oracle not making it was a surprise.
I have listened to 97 of the 100 albums. I added those other 3 to my list to get done.
I am guessing but it feels like we had over 900 different albums receive at least one vote - I think that is amazing.
I agree on both of those! both on my list and Murmur was top 20!
What an amazing list of seminal albums. I'm glad Revolver got the number one spot. I cried a silent tear over the omission of Genesis, but it's a really good list - even the albums I don't like are good. 😎

Thanks for including Captain Fantastic. Love it :)
We are trying haha! You know I put Elvis in Memphis on my list!
Great list! There were some albums on here that I did not expect to be on here. Good job everyone for making a great list!

Great list and great idea re-doing the list. It is an ever moving target, the more you listen to the more it changes!
Interesting list. Some was like 'yeah I see that'. Others was lie 'are you freakin' kidding me?" :D
Have heard a lot of great things about that one, definitely want to get to it soon!
I recently listened to it Philip - I still prefer AM more but it was solid.
Here is the list of my top 5 favourite albums and as always, happy listening!!!😃👍☮️❤️
5-George Harrison-All Things Must Pass
4-The Beatles-Rubber Soul
3-Harry Nilsson-Nilsson Shmilsson
2-The Beatles-Revolver
1-The Beatles-Abbey Road
Thanks we truly appreciate that! We have so many vids hard to find them we know that haha. We love what we do but it is a labor of love, we try to do everything with excellence. Thanks again for the kind comment!
Thanks for this. New music for me to listen to now.
Appreciate you checking it out Leon, hope you find some good new music too!
Props to anyone who had the discipline/wherewithal to create a list for this, apart from those who included Radiohead (but I jest of course). :D
agreed except the radiohead part of course!
Goat band
Very sold list. I'm surprised no Queen albums made the cut. I knew going in the chances of having 'Straight Up' by Badfinger was a long shot, I just adore that album.
That is a good album for sure!
Great list. Surprised by the lack of Led Zeppelin's first three albums. Overall, amazing from start to finish. Great job!
I wouldn’t argue with someone saying these two are ahead of them three
Thanks Eric!
Great job!
Thanks Slayde we think it turned out great!
cool list!
and you guys have covered a lot of stuff in a short space of time. I think there was only 4 albums in the top 30 of this list that hasn't been reviewed or reacted to on this channel: songs in the key of life, a kind of blue, london calling and automatic for the people.
Hope to get to those this year. Thanks Danny!
really cool list! i love the joni mitchell & kate bush placements :) i might’ve included horses by patti smith because that’s my personal favorite album, but there were a lot of great selections here nonetheless
Thanks for watching CW!

This is a fantastic diverse list! Really appreciate you taking the time to share!
Appreciate the work that has gone into this. Big thanks to you both.
A pretty good list overall. Love seeing this sort of content.
Thanks Stephen it was quite the community effort, but we are proud of it, pretty diverse
Enjoyed this. Great job everybody!
Thanks Kevin for tuning in!
We really hope to do more of their stuff this year! Thanks Kevin!
Great list! Hard to disagree with Revolver being number 1!
It was Shawn's #1, and Trey's #2 so we can't complain!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Just out of curiosity, what was Trey's #1?
Highway 61 Revisited
No Steve Perry.
0/10 list
Jokes aside, it’s awesome how you guys put this list together. 👌
Haha thanks Ian! Will probably do another list in like 5 years, so you can submit one then and give Journey some love lol
Bravo! Well done!!!
Thanks Don for submitting a list! Figured you'd like 2 S&G albums and both AR and Dark Side in the top 5.
Had many of my top 30. Rumours. Nevermind. Highway 61 Revisited. Who's Next. The Dark Side of the Moon. Tapestry. Blue. Pet Sounds. Aja. Ziggy Stardust.
So difficult to put one of these together for sure!
Not a bad suggestion at some point. Thanks XO!
Fantastic list, rttc has great taste in music!!! I counted about 12 from my list and probably 12 more that made it should have been on my list!
Thanks always appreciate your support and kind words!!
Pretty awesome list, guys. I'm guessing you have a lot of English Gen X viewers based these choices.
Actually had people from their teens to 70s from all over the world submit lists. Thanks Chris
A very interesting list as you'd expect from a wild and crazy music community like ours...granted, there were quite a few on there that I hadn't heard of, let alone listened to...but that's part of the fun of these lists, yes? (Still think it's badly missing some Weird Al, of course, but never mind...at least my other faves the Ramones made it in, yes?)
All in all, though, I just want to sincerely thank Trey and Shawn for giving us all something to keep ourselves occupied with during 2020's strangeness, and the RTTC community in general for giving this Welsh oddball somewhere to belong, especially during the livestreams...always the twin highlights of my week, yes?
(Lord only knows what we'll do for a follow-up, though...something like a Top 100 Songs of All Time list would be even harder to compile, after all...could still be fun though, yes...?!).
Don't tempt me on the songs list haha. I have thought of that, scary prospect!
I thought there was only 3 from a particular band. I’m sure both Beatles and stones had more than 3. Good list. A lot of really good albums on here.
Ok I get it. The results can be more than 3. But people can only vote on any 3 albums of a particular band.
Thanks for watching, and you are correct with your reply below :-)
It's funny you wrote that, 'cause I thought the same initially, and then when Help, Rubber Soul and Sgt Pepper had been shown on the list at somewhat low positions, I was like "What!?, No White Album, Revolver or Abbey Road? This list is even worse than the Rolling Stone one, and that takes some effort", LOL.
Illmatic - my favorite album of all time
It is a great one, hope to get to a reaction to it at some point. Thanks
This is a good list, even if I obviously disagree with some of it. Solid.
Thanks PJ for checking it out!
Thank Y’all for all your vids :) keep it up!
Fun list. So many other choices i would have had on the list but then again that's what's fun about these lists.
Yep, tons of people from all over the world contributed.
Im was surprised Kick made the list. Good to see INXS get some love
Knew you would like that. It is an awesome record!
I never doubted that they would make it!! Just peeved oasis beat it by 3.. dam wanna bees 🤣 sorry I can't let it go..only been 25 years 😂
Well done!!! Hard to argue with most of these..
Appreciate it Ed, we think the community got it right, very tough task to rank!

Wow highly impressive you compiled this list! Also great diversity, fantastic list, appreciate you sharing!
I like most of that top ten - I'm going to investigate the ones I don't know.
Thanks LIttlejohn!
Best list I have seen. Still not a huge Beach Boys fan however :)
Appreciate it! So many people contributed we think it helped balance the list for sure!
Great list. Good choice to put Revolver at No. 1. Also Dear Boy is my favorite song on Paul McCartney RAM.
Thanks Jack!
All downloaded and seeding. Thanks!
Thanks IS!
Whoa whoa whoa... there are way more than three Beatles albums on here.....
honestly because the Beatles are the exception to the rules. Great list. In my opinion I couldn’t put Sgt Pepper lower than number two though and Billy Joel The Stranger and S&G Bridge Over Troubled Water are both top twenty for me
Individual lists could only have 3 from an artist, but the total list was anything goes! Thanks for checking out the list!
Ah, okay. Honestly the Beatles deserve the five or six albums on this list
I can’t believe the wall didn’t make it.
Its tough to make a top 100. Many rank Dark Side and Wish You Were Here above The Wall, doesn't mean it isn't great though. Thanks!
Beegees" Size isn't Everithing,Still Waters andOdessa. Childrenn of the World and Staying Alive.
Those are good ones for sure!
Well I can truly say if you put this list next to The Rolling Stones list I wouldn’t be able to tell you which ones which.
Well this list has a lot of different albums in order and different records compared to their list that just came out lol I think all and all the community did well
Really good list, and of course you can't please everyone, but...no Elephant?
haha you said it all you can't please everyone
Blonde on Blonde is such a good record
It is great and I don't even think it is his best, now that is saying something! Thanks for watching!
How is Thriller not in the top 10?
Not a top 10 album of all-time. Not even close. Thanks
Sales shows different
It’s not even MJ’s best album. Sales do not equate to quality or else Meatloaf’s Bat out of Hell should be top 5 on a list like this
Off the wall>>>Thriller
Revolver is a freaking awesome album
Unreal consistency! Thanks Ross!
Needed more Zeppelin in the list. Physical Graffiti is definitely top 10 and Zep 3 and Houses of the Holy should have been there I believe. Still a lot better than Rolling Stones list. Thank you.
Thanks for checking it out Nakul
Love the list. Im not the biggest Beatles but SPLHCB is a top 5 album of all time and The Wall’s gotta be in the top 100.
No way Pepper's is a top 5 album not even close. Most die-hard Beatles fans place it in the 4-6 range of their best albums. But beauty of opinion
@@ReactionsToTheClassics yeah i guess i just can’t overlook A Day In The Life
This community is really good. Revolver's placement is well chosen over the extremely overrated farce of Sgt Peppers. Even a couple Kendrick albums! You guys are great
Thanks we are very happy with how it turned out!
Great job!
Thanks Kevin!
I also have my pet fav albums by groups that werent top picks among fans.
Pixies being included is awesome
They are great! Thanks!
Realy good
Thanks, we really appreciate you watching!
Solid List
Thanks for watching Patches!
Thanks for sharing!
Missing. Close to the Edge. Thick as a Brick. Argus. Graceland. So. Late for the Sky. Chicago (2).
Thanks for Watching!
Abbey Road won BY A LOT! 😂 great list guys! It was lots of fun assembling my top 50!
Thanks Josh! Also you misspelled Abbey Road it should read ...... Don't want to spoil it for people who haven't watched haha
@@ReactionsToTheClassics 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite albums of all time are Faith: George Michael and The Stranger: Billy Joel
Thanks for watching!
I want to see Depeche Mode - Violator here
It is a good one, tough to make a top 100
Needs more portishead!
Thanks for Watching!
well i've been out of touch - didn't even know about this. lists change like the wind - well sort of, some always appear and for good reason...list are mostly subjective, rather than objective - but that's what keeps our attention i suppose.
Would love to see your list sometime BMac. We are happy with the turnout and overall results of this one, a nice variety of eras, genres and styles but as with any list there are things that'll get people talking!
my beautiful dark twisted fantasy should b top 10
It is a great one
👌
Thanks for watching Martin Johansson!
Rolling Stone should take notes from this.
haha we think so! Thanks Nick!
Why where there like 5 Beatles and Bob Dylan picks if it was 3 per artist
There isnt, pay attention
I`m glad Elliot Smith is there but I miss GNR, Supertramp, The Sex Pistols, Al Stewart, The Zombies, Police, RHCP, etc.
Can only be so many included. Thanks
Brother in arms and mirage :(
Wow Mirage is not one that we ever see come up for FM
Camel or Fleetwood Mac Mirage?
You guys ever listened to exile in guyville?
Yes it is a good one!
The Kendrick albums should be higher, but that’s just my opinion
I agree wholeheartedly, I only had 1 vote to give on the list tho 😂
Cool
Hey Gorgon hope you are well!
hysteria from def leppard could be here
Pretty tough to make the top 100.
Thanks Kev
Why’s it all rock music?
Didn’t know Bjork, Kate Bush, Kendrick, Nas, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Kanye, and Joni Mitchell were considered rockers.
As long as any Beatles album is number one the list is always valid.
lol thanks
There isn’t a single 2000s up album in the top 20 only 2 90s
That’s the votes that came in from the people who voted. My personal list had a lot of records from the past couple decades
@@ReactionsToTheClassics the older music def had a special vibe but I respect the ppl the most that put in all genre and decades of music
elliott smith 🥰
He was great! Thanks!
Great list but where was the Holy Bible!
Tough to make a top 100. Thanks!
Wait, where’s ELO?
Didnt make it. Thanks Leon
@@ReactionsToTheClassics have you listened to much of their catalog?
No just one whole album but this was community voted so us not being highly familiar is not what kept them out.
Haha only a few from my list made it as expected. Still a p good list though, even if I feel that The Beatles made really good songs but not great albums
Disagree on that take BUT I respect it. Thanks!!
Disappointed not to see "Working Man's Dead" on the list.
Really tough to make a top 100 of all-time
@@ReactionsToTheClassics fair enough! The Grateful Dead isn't really known for their studio albums anyway.
The wall didn’t make the top 100 but wish you were here was in the top 10? Each to their own ig lmao
haha The OUTRAGE huh? Wish You Were Here is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all-time. What a great bland vanilla common take by you. lol
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Nah don't get me wrong wish you were here is amazing, I just personally think the wall is more of an interesting album, I've always loved concept albums and in my eyes its the ultimate embodiment of one. I think the accompanying film and tour make it just an amazing concept and poignant commentary on the music industry etc (tried not to sound like an arse there lol). I was just surprised the wall didn't make an appearance that's all.
MBDTF over Illmatic, TPAB & GKMC 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thanks for Watching!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics ofc man but in no world should MBDTF be ranked higher than them
As we mention this is a community ranking. Over 100 people from all around the world voted on it. IT will be ok. If you want to know OUR personal rankings watch our album draft series.
@@ReactionsToTheClassics ohh right ah i see now that makes sense then aha mybad
Bunch of dudes (and a few not) rate 95 albums made by men as the best. Good stuff lol
Haha appreciate you watching AND leaving this stellar comment. Must have had quite the impact on you
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Yeah I like your stuff, and I guess it's a pretty good list.
Хороший список
Thanks for Watching!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics спасибо вам ребята
@@ReactionsToTheClassics thank you guys
A list with no Dire Straits is void I'm afraid. All subjective of course but that band can't be overlooked.
Great band but i would in now way say it makes the list void
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Hahaha of course I was just injecting a lot of love for my favourite. Void was very much a over the top reaction. All subjective and it's your list 👍
Money For Nothing, Chicks For Free invalidates them from making any "Top __" list, because the homophobia is some real bullshit
