- Note: The two longer screws that appeared to be stuck were likely intended to be 'captive' screws that stay in the back panel and actually help it to open when the screws are loosened.
The LCD panel in this Dell Inspiron 5593 laptop is held in with a special 'stretch to release' double-sided tape. In this video, we replace a broken LCD panel using 3M stretch-to-release tape.

Cheers man, I have a replacement coming up but all screens I searched for repair had no bracket, bizarre, first time I've encountered that in all the years I been fixing computers. Was on the fence looking at orders. I'm in NI too, only noticed your reply to another user. Was looking at that myself, but laptoppartsUK have them at £54.54 on ebay ;)
I prefer Laptop-LCD-Screens.co.uk when the price is within reason, as they have excellent customer service. I've had to return two panels over the past couple years (one I mis-ordered, and another arrived defective), and they were great. Also if I order the panel before 2pm and pay about £5 extra, I'll have the panel before 1pm the next day.

Hello Sir, my Inspiron 5593 has a touch screen and it got damaged. Can I fit a non-touch screen on it? Looks like the Touch screen panel has 40 pins, but the non-touch panel has 30 pins for the same Inspiration 5593 model.

Is it better to get 17 or 22 cm for laptop screen tape for a 15.6” laptop. Can you also show me a guide on how to take off or disassemble the Dell 5593 lid. Thanks you
I cut this tape to about 8 or 10 mm wide, and it fit just fine. I don't have any videos showing 5593 lid disassembly, sorry!
