Pay should be based on how much you contribute to society. So teachers, nurses, janitors, truckers, grocery clerks, these should be top-tier jobs, because we can't get along without them. Lawyers, stock traders, and politicians should be making minimum wage, because all they do is take resources out of the system.
You forgot about school shootings
Teachers are paid fairly, aside from the paying for their own supplies. The biggest problem is the students and their enabling parents.
No. It's out pay. The Kids (esp teens) are amazing.
Even if the 'biggest problem' was the students (it isn't) teachers are paid way too little for the difficult and important job they do. The disregard Americans have for education and for the people practically raising their kids is baffling.
@@OsirisMalkovich Teachers shouldn’t be raising kids, hence the use of the term “enabling parents”. Teachers are off all summer, holiday weeks and never work a weekend. They are out the door at 3, or 4 the latest. They get fantastic union benefits. They’re paid fairly.
@TheGodYouWishYouKnew well, geez, I didn't realize it _shouldn't_ be happening. And of course, we should all live our lives based on how the world _should_ be. That's waaaaaaay more effective than dealing with things _as the _*_actually_*_ are,_ right?
@@OsirisMalkovich You didn’t acknowledge the rest of my response. Not surprising. Teachers aren’t practically raising kids anyhow, especially after elementary school. They weren’t even in the same room as them for over a year. They are closer to babysitters than parents.
