I remember buying the dvd years ago and still have it. I was finally able to buy a 996 turbo a few years ago.

Congratulations on getting your hands on a 996 turbo. Enjoy one of the finest sports cars to have ever come from Europe.

This is by far the best review of the 996 Turbo. It is unbiased and factual... shows how bad ass the 996TT really is!

Agreed, I can't find another video where the 996 Turbo is being driven so hard around corners

Probably the best designed 911 of all time. Can't really get much more praise than from those of the BM guys, they BEAT the piss out of every car.

Detailed, unbiased, fact-focused reviews. I wish we still had these! Love the pedal-cam also.

All those tests or reviews from the US and UK feel like bullshit compared to this. These guys really drive. Fast. And know what they're talking about.

This is like the only thorough review of the 996 Turbo at the time of release. Top Gear really disappoints in their lack of interest in the car. I feel that they should have given it more air time.

Top Gear is (was) extremely biased towards euro and UK cars. To each their own though...

@@alexavina7960 after watching the show for so long, I realize that it’s actually a complement they made for the 996 Turbo. The car was just too well rounded... they couldn’t create an interesting narrative around it. For some, it may appear lack lustre or boring, but in reality... it’s brilliant!!!

The 996 Turbo a sexy design with the famous rock solid "Mezger" engine.
Love the Le mons style racing lights awesome. The rear end is of pure porsche character a power haus design.
The best Turbo, way ahead of it's time. Really is the ultimate aggressive porsche a total road all weather urban icon.

The Japanese really do love and know their cars. Meanwhile John Davidson is blathering on about "excellent body control with just a hint of under steer"

Watch that PSM in the wet. It'll kick pretty hard and sometimes compound your mistake if your in a drift. If you get into a big drift(in the wet), it'll be late to the party and gives you a nice surprise. Then you find it working against you, while regaining control.
First hand experience in my daily driven 996.

That Porsche dominated the competition in its day. Too bad it had those headlights. They should have compared the headlights as well to make fair.

Bullshit the turbo and GT2 are both capable racecars/trackcars even the 996 Carrera is. People like you know just like to hear themselves talk! You ever been on a track with any of them? Or even driven any of them?

Nakaya's driving in the Porsche was rubbish. I think he made it understeer and then it snapped into oversteer, by himself, not by car design.
