My husband and I had 3 children and adopted 3 children! I sought th these videos out for clarification! I’m dazed and confused as a Catholic family we are in spiritual warfare. We are 32 years married deep. My husband “originally “ a Baptist converted as a Catholic then I left the Church. I was remorseful came back and now I am confused and angry once again! We raised ALL OF OUR KIDS CATHOLIC but feeling at a loss. It’s a concern and a contentious part of our family. Me being from a strong Immigrated Irish family and my husband’s mother coming from the the German Ripperger family! We ARE as a family in spiritual warfare. I’m positive my husband is related to Fr Rippergar no doubt we struggle spiritually, emotionally etc. we have had home’s blessed children blessed etc but torment continues. I’m at a loss! We have moved from CA to AK to many other statesAGAIN and again. I couldn’t take the torment in Ak or other states any more. We’ve had money falling from the ceiling and my sons bed shaking with him screaming In that house so we moved to a different house in anchorage AK where my youngest son at the time wanted to be a priest!
A Rosary was thrown at him he was tormented relentlessly. I figured the Catholic Church would do what it does best let them talk to their superiors! I know that game in the end means time action is needed. I was left behind. I’m still at a loss tramitized by all that has happened a parish that ignored me and shattered ruined im still dealing with. I’m now in AL and my husband has driven me to New Orleans LA for confession. Ive never been committed into a pyhsc ward! My father directed one in UCI California. I myself am in heath care till this day and I feel abandoned by my religion. I have spent many of days praying and begging for mercy in a late term abortion clinic in a very prominent city. The church has abandoned it’s real parishioners for prominence . This is no longer the Catholic Church I know.
I’m pro Jesus but the Church has FAILED US!

Hi, I have been looking for a Catholic explanation of the book of Revelation like most other people who watch your videos. As usual in any study of this book, the "four approaches" are discussed. If I am not mistaken, the view that John wrote the book before the Fall of Jerusalem in AD 70 is most important for preterists. They espouse this view because of its important to their interpretation. As the deacon mentioned, one doesn't necessarily have to choose one of these approaches; and the Catholic church has its own eschatological teaching. And an understanding of the book of Revelation may use elements from each of the four approaches.
Anyway, I have a thought: Is it possible that Saint John might have written the book in the 90s after the fall of Jerusalem as indicated by the witness of Saint Irenaeus? I don't think that it would destroy the idea that many of the things revealed are about the fall of Jerusalem. I know that the descriptions that allude to the fall of Jerusalem come after the line "what soon shall take place".
But the book of Revelation is about transcendental reality, past, present and future should not necessarily be understood as literally chronological or temporal. It is about things that essentially transcend time and space. It could be that John (or the Revelator) included details about the fall of Jerusalem to show what this historic event means in the grand scheme of things. It may have confirmed the beliefs already existing among Christians at the time. Besides, the phrase "what soon shall take place" can also mean "what must happen". So it could mean that these things are supposed to happen.
I am not a Bible scholar, and I am not sure if this will turn out right or wrong. But I guess my point is that there is an interpretative way to reconcile the idea that many things in the book of Revelation pertain to the fall of Jerusalem with the theory that he wrote the book in the last decade of the first century.
I know I may be two years late, but I hope to hear your comment/ opinion/ response to this. Thank you very much!

Dcn; I was wathcing your video and noted your comments about conquer, which does not appear in the Catholic Bible (ex chpter 15), but I did find it in the English Standard Version Bible. In the Catholic Bible, built upon the Latin Vulgate the term ovecome is used. You will find several differences in the Protestant version of the Bible build on the Greek translation of the original scriptures and the Latin translation Bibles. Thank you for your enthusiasm and efforts.

I have a problem, and it might sound strange I am born and raised a Catholic and have always have been told that Revelation was not written by St John, but John of Patmos, so now I'm even more confused then I was before, as this vision takes place, is already hard to decipher but now saying it's John the Apostle has me even more concerned it changes the message that I was always taught, so does the Catholic's have many different interpretations' of the story's or opinions as each priest tells his version?

    • @johndallas1116

John of Patmos is the same man as John the youngest Apostle, now an old man and patriarch of the early Church in exile on Patmos from Ephesus, where he was bishop.

I too am not a Bible scholar, but I am convinced that ' the hor of Babylon ', is supose to be the catholic church, but how it is, is that I suspect is the new teaching, ie, the Vatican II. So that as God warn His church return ' to the first Love you have ' other wise I will destroy you and her children'. Now if it is True why do the church restrain itself from it.! What I come to know after reading n practice my faith, I felt that what ever is written in the Holy Scriptures is all telling to His Chosen church, ie;the Catholic Church. So we have to carefull, that her Bishops n priests should not misled the church. Just the Temple of Jerusalem. They condemn Jesus Christ, so as that church may compleyely disbelieve her followers of Christ. Our age is close to end so as God says;'that everthing that is spoken or worked in the dark shall be revealed on the roof top of our house... ' so we may come close of Hos second coming...

I appreciate this Deacons teaching but the way he mocks the Protestant dispensationalist view is a real turn off. I was expecting a much higher level of teaching and not making fun of other's people's view. I'm wanting to come back to my catholic faith and this mockery does not help.

You haven't been in most protestants churches yet...
You will be sad to see how little and ignorant they are of the church fathers or the history of the church itself.
