Gotta wash the oil pan even if it's new. I've found out the hard way. Just put a new pan on with out inspecting it. Had metal shavings, in a new oil pan. Caused the same problem.

As a mechanic I have been taught never to reuse an oil pressure sensor that was in a failed engine as it could contaminate the new engine with bearing material. So it's probably a good thing you didn't swap it over

I'm not going to name names, but I know some youtube guys who are pretty big that do tuning and blew up 3 customer cars this year on their dyno. And Chief at Midwest Street Cars talks about in one of his videos that when they tuned Caddy Jack on the dyno the car was making more hp but going slower on a pass. They quit dynoing it and went faster just making passes and reading plugs, making changes and seeing what picked up mph. But there are definitely guys like Capizzi who dyno and really know what they're doing. But I'm not gonna spend $2,000 for 5 hours on a dyno

@@Stevesbe I doubt that is from dirty oil passages!! If the front two was that dirty enough to do that well then the chances are good that the back two would've been as well and I'd bet money he checked those while he was putting new bearings in it

That crank was never pulled out of that motor as far as I know. But I had the rods/pistons out to clean the cylinders and I put new rod bearings in it while they were out. I'm thinking it was an oiling issue because its fed from back to front

Na, I haven’t used a ratchet on an ls since the first one I ever messed with about 10 years ago
