There was a cinema theatre by name Majestic close to the Upparpete Police Station. That's the reason the area was called Majestic. About 50 years ago, it was called Subhashnagar, the bus stand was also named so. The current semi circular bus stand came about around 1980. And it became called as Kempegowda bus ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ much later.
@@amarnaths3014 Ohh..okay.. .when I came for the first time here in 1992, this word "Majestic" was new for me to hear. And the semicircular bus stand , that too was new to me. Great information.

My grand pa used to tell stories of his childhood bengaluru.. how native bengalureans were discriminated before independence by British controlled areas.. they needed permission equallent of visa before entering british areas as other areas were under mysore kingdom.. bengaluru was literally two country before independence..
I remember this Bangalore almost 3 decades back when Koramangala was a forest check post. How fast things changed, the IT revolution almost killed the city and finally we vacated this place last winter, never to return again 😢
In 1983 our children gang used to go to catch pigeons on Vidhanasoudha steps. Sometime seven go inside when door keeper not there. And sneak into Ministers quarters easily to steal sapotas from trees.

Oh what a soothing and bit of jealous, i am glad that I am born and brought up in golden era, what a climate, what environment, oh good old days, it's sad that my Bangalore is not anymore of its old charm, time used to stay for people to live in the moment, enjoy or feel or live with their emotions at that time we were joint family, only my father used to earn his salary was 1200 rs, 8 members of my family could survive and still save money for future, now I am earning more, my wife is also earning, my father's pension still at the end of the month work more for benefits to pay emi:s gone are those days were we used to live, summer holidays on Sunday, any good rajkumar movie in prasanna pramod or navrang, later malleshwaram janatha hotel masala dosa, Vada, and then back to home, relishing the dosa in mouth, oh good old days, born in 1987 seen many changes, feeling like I am old now.
For Old Bangaloreans , present Bengaluru city (2024) is not pleasent. Gone are days of roads lined with big trees, pleasent climate through out the year, less vehicle traffic, affordable cost of living. All have become history.
I started my career in bangalore in early 2001. I could still see those old red buses in majestic back then! Love this video😊 . Brought my first flat in 2010, after saving up 10 years, and it is still my best investment.
