I walked in to this hospital bleeding and they treated my case as an emergency without asking me how am going to pay but rushed into saving my life and that of the baby, their maternity is the best and give personalized care ,will forever be grateful
Today 49 years ago, I had not even been concieved. I turn 50 this year and I was born here. I can relate to the fact that a nurse assigned to you takes care of you from admission to discharge coz my late mum once told me that she defiantly and out of norm named me after a nun/sister midwife. Why? Coz my pregnancy was special in all sorts of manner. Abusively stressful pregnancy to say the least. After birthing 4children before me, I was her first pre-natal care and hospital birth; the first and only birthing experience that she (despite all sorts of abuse) effortlessly went through because from the word go, a nurse/midwife was assigned to her. She attended to her before and from the time she was admitted .she was the first person to touch me and she was there for her all through to the day we were discharged and even followed up and was there at every post natal appointment for an entire year after my birth. Imagine, it was in the 70's. To know that this is still a principle the hospital successfully practices speaks volumes. Humbled and honoured to despite my age still be Mater baby.
