maan, I plan to buy bitwig at a later date, right now learning lmms, but this workflow in polygrid and fx grid is just amazing. Also love the compatibility with different platforms and the clean interface.
At 9:50 the Wavefolder was dragged to the wrong end of the patch cable and ended up affecting how the signal is divided to produce the low end instead of just affecting the high end of the spectrum. Very informative video nonetheless. Bitwig is fun!
This is cool, thanks Dave! Could you do fx grid based tutorials? I see more poly grid vids than fx ones.. want to make fx for my kalimba and digitone :)
I am under Bitwig 3.1.2 I watched this tutorial many times but I can't find the "FX Starter" Preset mentionned in the Beginning of this tutorial. It is anywhere in the Browser, did I miss something? On davelinnenbank I find only "In Harmony" or "MP3 Support" presets with the search settings as follow: Any Category and Any Tags.
Good question. The FX Grid device was set to "True Mono" (the default setting). So Pitch In receives the most recent/last held note's pitch value. [Each FX Grid can be set as polyphonic, which requires notes to produce any sound and will apply data for each received note to the corresponding voice.]
bitwig Knowing that somewhere there is a correlation between function composition and a fire skrillex base line, and the brain doing all these complexe calculations to enjoy music, makes my existence more interesting.
Hey Bitwig, The "guy" in this video needs to have his Soy Levels tested. As well as being tested for low T levels I suspect the amount of Estrogen and Soy is off the charts
Excellent presentation! These are the kinds of videos this channel needs.
fantastic tutorial - keep going👍
Absolutely brilliant. Dave makes me think out of the box more. Thanks for the inspiration, we definitely need more of these videos!
Dude these lets build videos are awesome.
Well I learned something about guitar distortion today
I regret not switching from Ableton sooner. This program just understands my brain.

The contrast between the calm manner of the narrator and the harsh sounds of distortion is a bit ironic.

Hi Stéphane, the preset FX Starter is not part of the factory content, but you can download it from the link in the video description. Enjoy!
Mind was blown at 13:20. Is the keyboard tracking always monophonic or is there some kind of calculation done for polyphonic info? Excuse my terms....

My jaw is on the floor...
You sound like Buddhist Jack Kornfield. 🧘♂️
all because of mathematical functions and fourier transforms
Where would we be without maths?
