Hey, just a quick but important question. I have watched probably like 100 videos of nvg30 and read through many reddit posts about it. I have been holding back from buying it just because of one thing - fisheye. How bad is it? I want to mount it to my helmet with g24, but I have heard from probably like 3 people from 3 different places that the fisheye is bad. Please help me, I'm helpless and I have watched EVERYTHING about the nvg30 so I have nothing informational left.
OK first off for my personal experience I don’t really get a fisheye effects. That’s bullshit straight bullshit and fax objects is exactly the same size to the human eye what you see through the object I honestly wish it did have a little more FOV it could benefit it does not have a fisheye Affects that’s not true. If I was you, I wouldnt hold back any longer. It was definitely worth it by for as practical civilian use for just fun, hobby and stargazing etc it’s perfect.
I guess binock is going to come out with a upgraded lens. Urban Survivor was just talking about it. Would a fuel filter wrench work on getting the lens off?
The Opsin is far better than the NVG30, hands down. Firmware updates have helped the op mode & I got mine for $1800+change with a sacrificial lens & defog lens using a special code when I looked at it in their site but didn't buy initially through email
@First_name_youtube_doesnt_like nah, I didn't get scammed. It does what is advertised and is far better than the other digital I'm seeing, not that the other digital is awful, just the Opsin is better and you can use it on the move with the 90fps. The analog is great but it has weaknesses that are the boons of digital, and vice versa. Secondhand analog isn't a step up imo. If you're talking 2k FOM in white phosphor, than I'd agree but that will cost about 3.5k on the low side....
Oh yeah no I was at sonics options definitely better by then it by a lot but from you know me have been played with the scion option recently and I realized oh wow OK so the NVG 30 really is not that far off from it it’s literally just needs a bit More strength like 50% more than it equivalent to the option. However, there are some benefits that the NVG 30 has over the cynics option that cynics option can’t do which means background light filtration the option is blind when there’s a light present where is the NVG 30 isn’t
@@KyzoFox I think the NVG 30 looks solid from what I've seen. Looks like a good budget option. Firmware has helped a few of the Opsins issues, which aren't that big. The NVG30 seems better for a hand held & the Opsin for a mounted unit. That's just my opinion though
@First_name_youtube_doesnt_like scammed? Lol you’re pretty funny I bought this device out of my free will because I didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a NVG so I bought something that actually does what it used for and sorry but it’s worth what it’s price tag is placed.

@@KyzoFox thanks man, I love you (no homo), you don’t even know how does your reply help me, I’ll just trust you and buy the nvg30
I'm choking on that smoke!

Where does urban survivor talk about it? I just ordered an NVG30 and it would suck for an upgrade to come out right after I receive mine 😅
YOU CAN BUY THE SAME THING AND SAME PRICE AND HAS OPTICAL ZOOM, MUCH BETTER,
OKAY
Is there a external battery pack you can attach to it?
@@JohnTeitge-nu8co yes you can, it’s completely compatible with external power while its on.
@@KyzoFox thanks so much for the response!
Put a little clear fingernail polish on your screws.
Can we see it
Work?
Yes, you can check out my previous videos where I have uploaded where I’ve tested it in lunar environments

Bro I got a gen 3 PVS-14 for $1800. The only advantage to digital right now is that it’s cheaper
