Another sizing question, looking to get the 2018 board but can't decide between 152 or 154. Im 5'8, 160 lbs, US 9.5, usually all over the mountain but a good amount of time in the park as well. Thanks
Hey there i'm thinking to purchase this board which size i should be looking for ? I'm 1.88 cm 95 Kg weight and 46 Us 13 foot size.I love all type of terrain and i ride all of them.
If I compare this model to the previous ones, I saw a very big reduction in the length of the effective edge. For example the 2016/2017 Doa's effective edge is about 127 cm and this newest model has just 120,6 cm effective edge. Why did U do this? I wanted to buy the DOA because it excelled in the carving section of blackboard experiment ( it got a 9 for carving), but I dont think that carving is as goog as with the reducted effective edge. :\
That is actually a typo in our catalog and site and thank you for bringing that to our attention! Because for sure no specs have changed in the DOA. We've had a lot of feedback from team and customers happy with how it has always ridden so of course we would not want to change that either!
Just a thought BUT- could you guys use that awesome symbol from the first release DOA (death metal chicks) as the motif for future DOA like you use the skull symbol for the BSOD + UF? Remember that symbol on that board looked awesome!P.S just got the 2017 model for this season super excited to ride it
I have a question about which size I should be getting. Im 185cm, weighing 72 kg. and shoe size is 10.5-11 . I haven't been snowboarding in a long time so Im looking for easy ride, butters and I may try some jibs maybe, so should I go with 155w ?
Depending on the type of terrain you are riding, at your size you might even want to size up a little to the 158w. Are you going to be riding all mtn and pow or mostly in the park?
CAPiTAcinema mostly all mountain but not just pow, sometimes hard snow even icy.
Hi there, I have the option of buying 2017 doa or 2018. I see that the effective edge is shorter for 2018. How would that make a difference in these two versions of doa? Please help me out.
Franky, it is not any different. The shaping, ride and flex is the same. The effective edge difference was a typo in the old specs of our catalog copy. Construction for 18 has been upgraded with a new fiberglass and resin combo and a new sintered base material to keep you going fast!

what's the deal with the illuminati graphics? not a fan
It's based on an experimental art project by Corey Smith of a fictional religion called - The Church of Quantum Interconnectedness. It's meant to be light hearted and although a triangle is involved not a reference to the illuminati. Let the healing begin!
