Around 1985, I carried out a very simple experiment on a boombox that was destined for the trash...just cut the power to the motor and put in a potentiometer...and thus Manhattan Rubber was born...a few months later, a very stoned Colgate student told me "duuuuuude...you should sell this..."....thus the seed was planted. But I never thought of doing it to a turntable! AMULETS! Freaking awesome!
i bought it with the intension of modifying it, but the belt is so loose and shitty that i just kind of kept it. will probably still modify it in the future
Amazing, I’m new to all this can I ask why is the tape going around the knobs of the op1 ? What is the reason for that ? And I want to get a tape machine to try all this looping etc can a Marantz 430 do all this too or would you recommend the tascam 414 / 424 ? Thanks

It'll just be an easy way to keep a little tension on the loop without taking too much space with extra objects :)
