Over the years I've tackled this remix 3 times in total, and this is the third (and final) version which released in 2021 also to music streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Going back to the old version from 2015 and 2020 is really interesting to me - this track (and its two full remakes) have become sort of a yardstick for my progress as an audio engineer.
Two years later I'm still very happy with how this version turned out, so this is the final version. I'm also REALLY trying not to revisit old stuff anymore in general and just move forward.
This re-upload came to be because the original upload from 2021 featured a video of me playing the track on guitar. I've noticed over the years that videos where I show myself tend to perform very poorly and this was no exception. It barely reached 300 plays in 2 years whereas the original (and, imo, acoustically way inferior) version of the track from 2015 will soon reach 40k.
So I decided to get rid of the underperforming video and re-upload it as a simple visualizer as these types of videos just by far perform best on my channel.
This track plays after exiting Ravenholm via the mine shafts. Gordon joins up with a group of rebels in the industrial district. He breaks through a combine attack force to help the rebels in the warehouse but unfortunately, Winston is down on the ground after the fight. We don't get to know what happens to Winston after the fight but at least the Wiki speculates that he probably didn't make it.
The remix is inspired by some of my favorite prog metal artists such as @Periphery and@KeithMerrow. Many people have pointed out over the years that it sounds a lot like @MickGordon's DOOM (2016) soundtrack and while I absolute ADORE Mick's work and he's one of my musical role models, I want to remind y'all that this track was originally released in 2015, one year before the DOOM reboot :P

Hey there! This is not a new song of course, but a reupload of the third (ouf!) and definitely final (phew!) version of my Triage At Dawn remix, which was released back in 2021. This reupload is part of a restructuring effort on the channel, which is now completed. On the first Wednesday in September, we'll have a brand new remix - Guard Down from HL2: EP1!

You can, I'm not using any ContentID / Autoclaiming features since it's a cover in the first place. +10 internet karma if you buy the track on iTunes instead of ripping it from RUclips (will also be much better quality) and include a link to my channel (because "BKM" unfortunately has horrendous SEO).

I'm mentally prepared for it to be pay2win mobile knock-off released exclusively on Stream Deck. I'll be real, as much as I love the old Valve stuff (HL series, TF2, old CS), I've very little hope in the company these days.
