A new version of this remix is now available on Spotify and other streaming services under the name Triage At Dawn (From "Half-Life 2") [Remix]. Link is in the description!
Thanks for listening! Was an interesting experience to revisit this one. If you like what you hear, consider giving a listen to my instrumental metal album Oracle (see description) that uses similar elements to what I do in my remixes. See you in five years for the next remake of this remix! (I'm kidding. Probably.)
Thanks man, defenetivly one of the best hl music covers, not as beefy as I personally wished it would be ( I listen mostly to melodic death an black, I know its just my opinion), but I think this kind of music would have made hl2 a 11/10, if you would have the right resources to produce it.
Hey man, totally valid opinion! I certainly still have a way to go on my audio production journey. Since releasing this I've been producing a whole bunch of local artists, so I've been getting more training in 2020 than in any year before! Anyways, I'm planning on starting a new remix soon. Anything you'd like to hear remixed, from the HL franchise or beyond?
@@bjoernkmusic So I've been thinking (after your respond) and came to the conclusion that probbaly the next song maybe should/could be "Vortal Combat". This song was played during HL2-Ep2 where you had to defend the rocket. Why is this song a good candiate? Well it is allready not bad and you dont have to extend it as much as you would have with all the other HL1/2 osts. Most people just do a cover and dont remix the way you did it, your version of "We've got hostiles" is speaking for itself (awsome job). The other thing if I listen to voral combat I often get "sound flashbacks" basicly if the song plays additionally I hear the screaming engine of the car, flying bullets, dying hunters and striders. I was doing the achievment where you were not aloved to lose the outposts through the striders and it was brutal/intense. Maybe you have experienced simmilar things, and maybe if you transfere this intense battle situation into the song you could crank it up even more :) . Those are my thoughts. I also have other candidates but this one is actually the best one in my opinion.
I love Vortal Combat, that track is hugely nostalgic for me! I've actually thought about remixing that one but to be entirely honest ... it's already super metal sounding. It would probably be more of a straight up cover and less of a remix. That doesn't excite me as much? I think Last Legs would be a better candidate for remixing but I personally don't like that track as much. I can't even really remember hearing it in game and I must have played through HL2 3 or 4 times, so it's not really all that memorable. Let's see. I'll think again about Vortal Combat. But no promises here :)

This is amazing.
Imagine this playing in a hl3 trailer
Call me Gabe.
Imagine Winston returns in Half Life 3 completely healed and this plays
You're criminally underrated. I always rock to your music! They're my jam! If I make a party your music is gonna be in it!
Thank you so much! Trying my best to put out quality stuff. Great to hear that there's people out there having a blast partying to it!

What the fuck; it's still not as popular as I expected. Again, top tier, ever after a lot of replays.
Appreciate that mate! It's actually pretty popular on Spotify, so I'm not complaining :)
Well, now I kinda have to subscribe, right? This is awesome!
Appreciate it mate!
I agree with this man, so
*"I've got work to do"*
@@snatcher2592 Haha thanks mate! :D
Top tier.
Thank you mate, this means a lot.
It was the hope for a remake of "Into the cold light" that made me subscribe in the first place. Thank you for this nice production.
Glad I was able to deliver!
Nice! Didn't expect you to do a re-remix but I'm not complaining!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Damn this is underrated

Found this on reddit and I like it.
Welcome then! Yeah, I posted this on /r/halflife. Glad you enjoyed it :)

I just realized I mixed things up. Vortal Combat was playing in the mine during the antlion fight. The other one was "last legs". Shame on me.
