The PS3 is one of my favorite consoles ever made, and I just think it's so special for its exclusive games. So let's go back and explore the 25 BEST games that you can play on the PlayStation 3 in 2024
Its interesting how people are currently reliving this generation of consoles (PS3 and X360)....says something about the current generation and the lack of diversity / quality in games.....I have been buying up a heap of X360 games recently (mainly in preference to PS3 due to backward compatability), but either console the games are currently dirt cheap
I see your point. And whilen it may be partially true, this is nothing new. People will always talk about and play older games, wether or not moder games are good or not.

I was 19 when the 360 dropped and 20 when the PS3 dropped, I remember these times so clearly, what an epic time for gaming.
I think i'm almost the same age as you, it's interesting how the beginnings of the PS3 were very sour.
The 7th gen was the last i really enjoyed, nowadays i play more on PC and of course some retro games as well

PS3 had some really great games that are still good today.

Heavenly Sword, MGS4, USF4, Castlevania 2 Lord of Shadows, Warhawk, Tokyo Jungle, Resistance 1 and 2, just to name a few.
Child of Light, Army of 2, Strangle Hold.
I own almost every game on PS3 and playing still everyday on my favourite console... It's absolutely amazing that Sony is still supporting this gem and the Store is still running where you can buy add on's or download updates for recently acquired games 🎉🎉
I loved ps3 Era my favorite Era and 360. I literally just put a ps3 emulator on my rog ally and having a blast playing ps3 ps2 games. Plus I have xbox and all the backwards compatible games this is a great time to have all games
Yes I'm playing uncharted 1 on PS3 right now and I'm surprised how good it looks being such an old game
The graphics on a nice TV screens are still absolutely up to date, and hey we're talking about a console which is over 10 years old 😅

It’s just so weird going back to a time when games were complete packages, they all felt like individual titles with their own thing going on.
Now an FPS looks exactly like the next one and original ideas for the most part aren’t sticking
I literally want to play Astro Bot and then after that experience I might be happy to sod off modern gaming for a generation and just buy back my childhood one game at a time
Ps3 and 360 had a lot of great games. There were a lot of great games that were dismissed and mediocre, and now people look back at those games and realize that they were really good. I would love for a ps5 pro or ps6 to have the ability to play ps3 games via disc.
I wouldnt say the PS3/360 era was the MOST creative. It was still a good era but I think devs and publishers were even more creative and took more risks during the PS2/Xbox/GC era

Motorstorm was what actually pushed me into buying a PS3. I'm a big racing game fan, both realistic and arcade. I was in a Gamestop and they had it as the demo, and I was sold. I loved my XBox 360, and also loved my PS3. Good stuff!

Have mine ps3 since a few days . Motorstorm was the game I always wanted to play . But I was a 360 owner then . And now with the lack of over the top arcade.racers on PS5 I decided to buy a ps3 . And it's much more fun than the PS5 games ! Hope there coming with new FUN arcade racers on the ps5 but I doubt it .
I’ve never owned a Sony console after the PS2 and have been an Xbox owner ever since, but I’m still here and liked the video just because of all the amazing work you do.

PlayStation moving back to market leader has led to predict ability and sequel-itis
PlayStation 1 and Playstation 2 I should say Nintendo 64 Sega Dreamcast this is where developers was the most creative I remember finding some weird one-off games I remember playing a plant zombie game that was almost like resident evil for the Sega Dreamcast it was weird but I kind of liked it it wasn't the best

Infamous and God of War should be top 5 in my opinion, God of War at the very least.
My wife had the PS3 back in the day. I was on Xbox 360.
I did play a few PS3 games, of course. But I was not into the ecosystem like that. Still... Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is, hands down, my most favorite game released on the PS3.
Really would like to see that game get released on Xbox via the next Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 2. Because I really want tk play that game again!!
Personally my two favorite PS3 games are Disgaea 3 and 4. I know D2 released on there, but I haven’t been able to pick it up, or bother emulating it.

Yeah it was on the Xbox 360 to but I played them on the PS3 and that was DeadSpace Trilogy and Red Dead Redemption which is surprising not to see here! 🙄 I understand putting mostly exclusives but I’d swap out the Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper trilogies because they were originally on the PS2 Anyway. 🤔 I get it, personal subjective opinion so I’m giving Mine! 😎 RDR and Dead Space 2 were/are on the list of greatest games EVER Made! 🤩
The ps3 has made a massive resurgence lately cos people are seeing how creative plaaystation was and its something missing from this gen and most games are between $5-30. Great vid jay ❤

To me around the PlayStation 3 and the 360 days yes there was some creative decisions but it was not as much

Current Gen = Money hungry & lack of creativity (games are repetitive) and always online
PS3/360 Gen = creative, fun, devs took risks on their imagination, online not required.

No I think PlayStation one and PlayStation 2 developers was at their most creative there's a lot of weird games that was coming out around those times I'm not saying my opinion is right this is just my personal opinion

PlayStation is now a shadow of a what it once was back in the PS3 era they were good but now that they made PS4 and 5 it's gone downhill the only console I see being good is the PS3 because it can play PS1 games well PS3 slim and super slim can play PS1 will the fat models can play ps 1 2 and 3 I will always love the PS3 no matter how many PlayStations they make I was 18 years old when I played on the PS3
They need to port 3d dot game heroes to pc.

The Uncharted and GOW series is the only reason I've ever owned a playstation. Nothing else has come out that I've wanted and not most comes to pc so I just wait. No reason for me to own a playstation anymore.
I love my PS3 will never get rid of it, great selection of games. Controller is my favorite I hate the PS4 and 5 controller.

I think puppeteer is available to stream if you have PlayStation premium.
Fuck PS Premium, this is a pathetic attempt from Sony of paywalling nostalgia. Use emulators, Puppeteer works just fine on RPCS3

I am generally a fan of the PS3 but looking back at some of the Drake games, parts just don't hold up at all. Hiding behind wooden crates from an attack helicopter is something I could accept as a kid, but now it's just meh

This ps5 generation so far is boring, I find myself playing ps4 games on the ps5 mostly. This generation is the generation of remakes and remasters.
