I just bought a anti blue shield glasses yesterday and i thought they just put a like a sticker of reflective blue light to the frame that i choose that has already a ordinary lense haha. Now i know they really measure the lense before putting it in the frame i choose. Thanks for this vid haha 😂
The camera was able to focus and adjust to the glasses. A trick to try is place your (or a friends) glasses in front of the phone camera and quickly move it away. It will appear blurry for a second and I consider that an accurate representation of what someone with that prescriptions sees! Pretty gnarly! 😊

They order the lens like that. "Thinning the lens" is also something that they don't do they just order lens that is thinner cause it's made from different refractive index polymers. Also they usually overharge for both the frame and the lens like you are buying a jewelry.

They are just etched for cosmetic purposes, they have nothing to do with medical/optical prescription lenses. In fact, most optometrists would advise against you wearing lenses that have brand logos etched into them like you are asking about because they could impair your vision.
For some reason I always assumed it happened the other way round, blank lenses to fit each frame, that get specially machined for each person's prescription. This makes much more sense though.

So when someone cancels your order because they said they damaged the frame and lenses multiple times while putting the lenses in the frame, it just means they don't know how to put them in. You can use copier directly. Fit dummy lens in copier put new one and you have new lens in 10 minutes.
