I'm a mexican furry, but from the south, and I have to agree, over here, most people see it as something weird, most are very close minded and will see you in a wierd way. At least in Yucatan. I have only found a handful of furries in my state. Hopefully in the future, the fandom will be more known and appreciated down here.
@@AshCoyote Yes! You should come! I'm from Merida, Yucatán, and here it's a wonderful place to visit. Some furmeets are just starting to appear around the city, so that's awesome. The only downside is the climate, too hot and humid for fursuits (for me at least). But if you are coming, I highly suggest visiting Chichen Itza or just checking around Merida or Progreso beach. Very nice places :)
Artik Wolffe also yeah, is kinda sad that here in Yucatán are really closed minded. I mean, one of my classmates is like, an anti-furry... kinda. Cuz he’s always is making skrek meme jokes, and that kind of stuff. One that I just, got mad and asked “What is weird about furries, what you know about furries, at least you know what a furry is??!” He just said: “haha yeah! This are just weirdos with animal suits, with weird fetishes” I told him the truth about the fandom, but it was like... we never talked about it, he didn’t care!. So.. yeah hope in the future the fandom will not be misunderstood

Hello ash thanks for the heart, just wondering if you have any idea on a good budget drawing tablet? Also i have another channel called “Frankiemation” it is a channel but has nothing on it. Which will be my animation channel
This. Must. Be. Televised. Seriously, I want this "season" to be reworked into episode one of a full-blown TV program that gets broadcast on Nat Geo or something. Try showing this to them, you might be surprised! And don't just shrug the comment off, either. Part of their mission as a brand and a network is to reveal less-understood cultures to a general audience, and your work does that.
I'm a chilean furry and here in the city where i live (santiago) people is really open mind about furry things , some people just make memes for us but we just laugh for it lol, the furry fandom isn't totally known here however there is still people out there that have an interest on it but they are like closet furries

I started drawing anthro characters just to experiment with my art, and then I jokingly said to my friend that I was a furry while drawing. It kinda stuck with me, and a year later I can definitely say the fandom has changed my life for the better. It's been so fun to be here.
I conducted my own crude experiment on a children’s game ‘roblox’ I would dress as a furry and enter random games. The result was pretty OK about 69% of servers I joined had people who disliked furries and 67% acted out on their opinion and proceeded to harass me The most non furry game was a small games named “the streets” 92% of servers had 1 or more people who didn’t like furries ALL of them acted out on their opinion and when asked why they all provided the same reason “furries are cringe” or “furries are gay” even though this displeased me, I never said anything back I can’t really tell how many people use roblox daily but about 30% of people on roblox dislike furries and 25% act out on their opinion

It's great to see it growing more and more back in my home country of Mexico though! I really hope to go to a convention down there sometime. Especially in Mexico City, where I'm from.

Wow, very good stories to hear and a great series. I have only called myself a furry for three months now so this is still all new to me in a lot of ways.
I love this series! Learning more about international furries was really interesting! Especially like when she said the border people tried on a fursuit head 😂
Thank you for making this type of content for reasons of people not understanding what the furry fandom is so I can send all the videos in this series to my friends so they have the best chance to understand
Love your documentary and I feel it captures the best of the fandom in all areas. Especially finding lesser known people and getting their stories. Keep up the good work! Lots of love.
Looks like I've made a short comment on here last week., but I've been thinking. And before I finished my thoughts, I had to come back to this video to make sure I got the right info before commenting. So here I go: When I first saw the title of this video, I was expecting to see Furries from literally ALL AROUND THE WORLD. I thought I'd see Furries from Asia, Europe, Russia, England, maybe The Middle East, and Africa, etc. But the only international furs I saw you interviewed were 2 Mexicans and 1 Canadian. Which is fine, but I don't think this video was International enough. I say that because the last time I checked, Mexico and Canada are part of the North American Continent. Like I said, I was expecting to see Furries from ALL AROUND THE WORLD. I get it, flying around the world is super expensive. But we have apps that have video chat. I think it's totally fine to use that in your video. If you had interviewed someone, let's say someone from Asia, and they had video footage of them Fursuiting you could ask them to use their videos. I'm just giving suggestions, FYI. When I see "International," I think of not just Canada and Mexico, I think of Asia, Africa, The Middle East, Europe, UK, Russia, and Pacific Islanders, etc. Anyway, I just think this video could be better if this showed furries from other continents. Don't just limit to North America.
Foxcario That’s fair criticism. Though I will say, one of the benefits of having a series is that it opens the door to revisit topics, exploring something new, or examining alternative perspectives in future seasons. And as the editor of this series, that’s what we hope to accomplish! We we largely limited to whom we had access to interview, and a brief timeframe to do it in. But your feed back is very appreciated; and we’ve certainly be thinking of ways of exploring how the fandom has taken off outside of North America.
We would love to interview furs from all around the world. Unfortunately, this is as much as we can do for free at a single convention. We have a Kickstarter for the documentary film we want to make.
