Very affordable option. My last bike had a GPR. My R7 doesn't and I'm definitely missing that extra stabilization that comes from a damper.

Stay tuned for part 2 and we’ll see how it feels 👍 hopefully clears up some of the minor wobbles she likes to give me on acceleration

Great Video. As I've gotten faster on track, I have noticed the front wheel getting light on track. As it comes down, I felt a slight wobble. Some guys mentioned the R7 front being so light that it probably doesn't need a damper. Regardless, I know I go slower than I normally would through those areas. I looked at an Ohlins, but it was 200+ dollars. The option you obtained seems like it will fit the bill and you mentioned it working well. Thanks for the R7 reviews. It definitely helps. BTW, what exhaust are you using? I'm looking at an exhaust upgrade as well. I know it won't add HP, but I like hearing the engine sound on track as it helps to let me know when to shift. Currently, the stock exhaust is just too quiet.

@@jerrymorales6501 hey mate, yes honestly the steering damper has removed all issues of the steering wobbles be it on street or track and I have had zero complaints about this option, highly recommended and I’m just a guy on RUclips with no sponsorships etc. for the exhaust just try to stick to a name brand, I love the look of the akrapovic but yes it’s expensive, but the two brothers or yoshimura, mivvi, are all good options too. Thanks and look back at my exhaust install video to hear the difference. Certainly helps to hear the engine on track and the akrapovic race exhaust fits the bill for sure.

Love this series. I just picked up my R7 a month ago. Do you notice its very wobbly over 100mph? Feels like the wind just pushes me around lol.

Not really something I notice myself, just the usual wind, but can you detail the “wobbly” effect more?

@@mikeyjaxxx I’m new to riding so sorry for the poor description but it feels like my rear end is on a soapy hardwood floor. Not constantly but there’s moments when it feels like I have no “grip” on the road. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it’s just gusts of wind or if there’s an issue with my bike. Thanks for the response!

@@rugr1040 and is that whilst you are under acceleration? Like full gas? Or just holding a steady speed? At 100mph, you will not be loosing traction with the rear tire on the road, so I would only imagine it's bumps or gusts of winds. However it's always worth checking the bike is on good running order, good tire pressure especially, and that your rear shock is not at some extreme setting.

@@mikeyjaxxx that’s sick bro I have the same engine as have been going through some of the build u have been doing with the supercharge I wanna know how much was all that do do including the tune it’s so hard to get any of that here in Australia I wanna get more power out of my z22se so bad I heard u can make up to 200bhp off just the supercharger

@@lachlanpasslow3330 nice, I’d say you need to allocate around £3000 if you want to try and source a full kit. I bought a donor car and the sold it on so that brought my costs down. There’s a good facebook forum for the z22se and there used to be a forum / website that has a load of information too. My is making around 240bhp on a fairly standard supercharger map.

@@lachlanpasslow3330 my instagram is @mikeyjaxxx and more than welcome to ask questions. It handles great after all the chassis mods, the sway bar helps a lot for sure! I didn’t get a true chance to push it too hard yet, but I did take it for a trackday and it was really nice and had no issues

So a band aid instal on a suspension system that has not been set up…….
I would say I am amazed at the stupidity that still permeates in the motorcycle world, but I’m not.
When you set the suspension and stop locking your arms you will find the dampers are not really needed unless you are pushing the bike……
Sorry, not one of you street rider is anywhere near the professional level of GP riders.
Hell, I don’t even need it on my R1 anymore, as my suspension has been dialed in. It is only there because it hold one of the cables.

Hi Dennis, thank you for your comment, if only I didn’t have multiple race wins under my belt and having built multiple race bikes and street bikes, I would then have known better. Sorry for my stupidity 😂 as you might have seen if you just took five minutes from your keyboard battles, you would see my suspension is very well setup as per my needs and what I want from my bike, the damper actually enabling rather than hindering my needs. But hey glad you know best 😆 And good job on adding to the stupidity you see around you 👏
