Follow all the steps correctly to make a good installation, but when you press the control three times the car does not turn on, check all the suggestions they tell you and make sure each light shines, but it still does not work, Any suggestions?
Very helpful video. Just did this install myself on a 2013 CRV. Hardest part was tucking everything out of the way when reinstalling the trim under the steering wheel. For anyone who is warry of soldering, I was able to use T-taps instead. Thank you!
Thank goodness I found this video, now I feel a lot better about doing it myself. I bought 1 for my dad's CRV as a Christmas gift but have never installed it for him :D, and now the weather is a lot warmer :D
My 2016 with push start I wish looked like this. The main white connection is up above the fuses and then I can't find a gray connector but found a green but I can't get the module programmed it just blinks red.

I have been searching for a mechanic to install this on my 2016 Honda CR-V around central Jersey but in vain.. the product that you showed on the video is on sale on Amazon.. 1 product is $82 and the other is $95.. which one shoukd I buy for my car?.. where do you live I want this installed ASAP.. pl help
Hello, btw, can you make a Fortin Evo One "ready to install and all included kit" with all the required software and harnesses, for a 2008 BMW X5 DIESEL, and sell it to me? I am looking a kit for that specific vehicle. Thank You.
I'm installing the evo one with t-harness onto a 2014 CRV. I'm at the programming steps but am stuck at #4 which is pressing the programming button twice and waiting for red light to flash once and pause. My evo one just continues to flash red or blink every second. Is this normal or am I missing something?
Thanks for the great video. Is there a way to add another brand RF kit (Omega Link Excalibur, for example)? When you were programming the EVO One by connecting it to the PC software, I did not see an option to select any other kit other than Fortin brand RF Remote Kits. Thanks.
Hello I have a side question for you. The 2016 touring headlights look great on the 2013 CRV! How did you get the LEDs to work did you have to wire them in?
I’ve heard that with some other start kits, for them to work the hand/foot brake needs to be engaged beforehand for remote start to work. Is that true for this model?
It's not the panic. Try locking doors with remote with window down. Wait 1 minute after locking doors with remote. Then reach inside and open the door from inside with handle. If alarm sounds, you have an alarm. If not, you don't.
Ok so one more question I see no t harness for 09 Honda Odyssey but other than that the one in your description would work if I wired it wire by wire and programmed it with flash module also in your description
Go to the fortin.ca website and enter your vehicle details. It will show exactly what is compatible. But yes, if there is not t harness but it shows the evo one will work, it's just wire by wire. Adds a significant amount of labor, but is still worth it. I just did one on my 2005 Pilot that I had to do wire by wire.
@@JackofAllMasterofNone thanks so much I know I had a lot of questions but this video cleared so much up for me and not I have the confidence I can do this on my own.
@@JackofAllMasterofNone that seems like a waste to make you pay for something you'll only use once but then again they probably don't want regular people installing them
Hello. Thanks for the video. I installed the evo one on my 2014 Honda Ridgeline. It seems that everything is good (connections), but when I remote start the vehicle the AC won't turn on until I get into the car and put the key in the ON position. Do you know if there is something that I can do? Thank you!
That is strange. Did you use the Honda quick harness or did you wire it yourself? It sounds like one of the ignition feeds isnt getting power during the remote start.
@@JackofAllMasterofNone Hello, thanks for your reply, you helped me double check and understand the wiring of the vehicle. In my case, instructions said to connect the pink wire (ignition - fortin connector) to a black/yellow wire (ignition) of the OEM harness, and I did only that when I ask for your help; but double checking the OEM harness there is another ignition wire (yellow color) that I tested and it happens to be the ignition line that "feeds" the AC and other components. So what I did was to attach this yellow wire from the OEM harness to the pink wire (fortin connector), to have a pink (fortin) + black/yellow (OEM, Ignition 1) + yellow (OEM, Ignition 2) spliced together, and PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! Have a nice day! :) NOTE: I am not a professional installer, this was a DIY job, so this 2 ignition wires is new for me.
On 2015/2016 CRV's the horn wire is tan and not in the same position. It is in the same small harness. Just FYI.
Dude thank you so much this saved me so much

Might be a bad module. Might have to send it back
Can you install a rf kit and a LinkR together to the Evo one module?
Is still work in rsx 2002 a/t sir
So you don't have to solder those 2 wires for it to work? that's the only part that i wasnt comfortable with.
You just won't have horn honk and parking light flash. But everything else will work

Yes you can add tons of other rf kits. Just check out the Fortin website for more info.
Can you do replacement keys?! Mine is split in half and I want to know if I’ll have to go to the dealer for more keys
Find a local locksmith. Usually much cheaper

No
Would it be the same procedure and needs if I have a push to start instead of having a key?
No. Unfortunately it will not work with a push to start vehicle.
How do you know whether your oem key has the alarm or not? Is the alarm not the panic button?
It's not the panic. Try locking doors with remote with window down. Wait 1 minute after locking doors with remote. Then reach inside and open the door from inside with handle. If alarm sounds, you have an alarm. If not, you don't.

Does the A/C works with you physical knob automatically?
You have to leave it on when you turn the car off.
Is there anything stopping you from turning around and selling the flash programmer
No. It can be used an infinite amount of times.
