@@Casual_guy1234 ferb: *Stares at you as your organs brutally get strewn out by a therizinosaurus after pissing it off*
Dramatic reinterpretation on Spinosaurus made me legit laugh out loud when I read it!
I would LOVE to make a video talking about this book as well! You should tell them to reach out to me!
I'll definitely namedrop you next time I speak to them! Anything to spread awareness of this book tbh.
Got my copy earlier this week. Looking forward to read it cover to cover.
The title alone has me.
Yep
Oh my goodness the feathery player dinosaur gives me Hobbit vibes and I'm loving them.
I was one of the first backers of this book and it's great! I've combined it with the Planegea book and it's one of my two ongoing campaign worlds
I am currently playing a druid that wild shapes into dinosaurs so this I DEEPLY need this!!
Ha, only one of them this is gonna be easy.
*turns into a t-rex*
WHAT THE F-
@@Casual_guy1234 Technically you'd need Polymorph for that.
@@ULTIMATZEKROM potato patato
I’m boutta tame a spinosaurus like that.
There are rules for taming dinosaurs in the book too, as well as riding and armouring them.
@@PalaeoGamesthats fucking sick
My brother, add me to the list
I'm so happy that someone actually thought of doing this
I am so stoked for this! I just finished running my one-shot based on The Rite of Spring (even converging on the Pluven design), and I'm about to jump a campaign as a drakewarden ranger. I definitely have to get this!
Edit: I also had a one-shot with Hatzeg dwarf dinosaurs a few years back, where the party had to defend a farm village with domesticated dinos from the "dragons" (Hatzegopteryx). This would have definitely come in handy back then.
The playable raptor race is worth it. I bought this book because of your short about it.
tfw you made a raptor race for your own ruleset years ago but someone beat you to printing it
For those curious, imagine if the mongols had speedy feet instead of horses and could leap onto rooftops to Lars Andersen you from there... So not quite the peaceful fluffs of this book...
Englishman dromeosaurs is not something I knew I needed but now I do
I know they look like Feathery Hobbits
This is probably one of or if not my most favorite dinosaur video of all time!!🦕🦖
Yes I’m loving this!
I bought this immediately once I saw the short you made about it. It came in earlier this week, nothing I love more than Dinosaurs and D&D
I finished reading the book week ago and I am thoughtly impressed by it. All the creatures lore, and magic items are so creative. I throughly recommend this book as a dino lover and as dnd player!
I am working on a post world side adventure for my campaign and also a place wich have dinosaur races in them so this comes at the right time
I’m totally getting this book for my birthday.
Can't wait to create my dino dragon hybrid.
Tyrannosaurs = Orcs
Dromeosaurs and Allosaurs = elves (although the Dromeosaurs are now hobbits XD)
Spinosaurs = Mermaids
A detail for a setting I'm designing for my D&D players is that dragons (who used to be quite the influencal force on the world) owned dinosaurs as pets. So a danger one can encounter when exploring draconic ruins is the descendants of their pets still wandering the area. I definitely should get this book.
deadass bought it the moment I watched your ad on tiktok
Got mine ordered!
Tyrannosaurus mount, here I come!!! I'm going Primal.
I participated in crowdfunding when this book was on Kickstarter. And I'm currently designing a D&D survival campaign based on Hateg.
Just got the book myself. Now I'm working on a Dinotopia game in the Age of Heroes.
As a long-time DM who’s deep in the roots of homebrew, I gotta say this: the book is great. I really appreciate the time, effort, and passion that went into this project. I personally bought the book and pdf bundle because I really wanted to add this to my collection. I do not regret my purchase at all. That said, it feels like the writers chose the concept over the actual function and mechanics of the game. A lot of the stat blocks are cool, but go a bit overboard, basically turning the dinosaurs into fully magical monsters (note that this is WITHOUT the magical add ons). The subclasses are a bit clunky sometimes and have strange abilities that are overly complicated. The race options can come across as lackluster, or a bit over the top (such as the ankylier getting the ability to have an AC of 22 at 1st level which breaks the game in certain ways). Some of the magic items also make for a HUGE headache for a DM if used, like the time warping staff.
That being said, the artwork is amazing and the paleo environments are a huge boon to the game. I also love that each included animal had a descriptive bestiary and actual references to the scientific literature. Clearly the authors had passion and a vision and they did a solid job with it.
I’m personally going to use this book as inspiration for a dinosaur campaign, but I’m definitely going to need to edit the stat blocks to make the creatures feel a bit more grounded.
All that being said: buy this book! I hope the may a sequel!
I’m a Pathfinder man myself but, this is really tempting me to convert!
Just bought this using your code! Im so excited to make a paleontologist character.
Be the Alan Grant of my party 😁
My book just arrived as I'm watching this video
D&D&D
Oh man I wish I could buy this book. It's truly been my greatest fantasy to play in a prehistoric setting. I hope there's a Kaprosuchus, Ceratosaurus, and Cryolophasaurus stat block
Well I finally managed to get my hands on Planegea, and I'm waiting on The Book of Extinction. Time to add to that list!
I just made a new campaign for 5 girls who have never played before. Guess what I’m about to throw at ‘em.
Have fun!
holy crap yes, time to learn how to DM. Finally get my sea dragon spinosaurus
I just got my PDF and I will get a physical copy soon, and I want to help promote this as well, this book is awesome.
Can’t wait for my players reactions when i put on the jurasic park theme.
GOSH DANG IT! I JUST STARTED A CAMPAIGN YESTERDAY AND NOW I KNOW THIS EXISTS?!
Dinofax I don't think you ever replied to any of my replys. I just want to say thank you, this has been a real rough year for me.
I've been through a lot of rough jobs with even harder bosses. That said I appreciate the income and work regardless. My one highlight is watching your videos.
You're one of the most positive things to watch and listen to, as a youtuber creator. The enthusiasm you show as well as how wholesome your voice is incredibly relaxing.
I love to how you stay out of politics and stay neutral to facts or historical moments without an agenda. Truly just seeing a new video of yours is so welcoming and brings the life back into me.
I'm also Catholic and you're in my prayers that you continue to grow, make a living off this and live a long healthy life.
This could work well with the official D&D books that have Dinosaurs. It can also go well with the dinosaurs provided in Bigby Presents Glory of the Giants or Tome of Beasts Volume 1. It could fit into campaigns like Tomb of Annihilation or the Isle of Dread, maybe even Eberron.
I'd definitely like to see some dinosaurs incorporated into Warhammer 40k, kinda like how Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar has the Seraphon (who for those who don't know, are a race of Aztec-themed Lizard people who ride dinosaurs into battle while being lead by frog wizard known as the Slaan)
Also I remember hearing about this one island from DnD called Chult, it's basically like a mix between Skull Island and Dinotopia iirc
Fantastic video ❤
I'm starting a campaign in a couple weeks with this book, and I'm so excited!! Whoever thought of this is genius!
This is so cool!!!
Let's goo now i need to buy another book
Stop drilling we hit oil boys!!!
I love the idea of putting dinosaurs and Ice/Stone Age mammals and birds into my High Fantasy/High Magic world of 5E.
Ran a dino-adventure for teens at a summer camp, i was all set to make my own paleo-creatures for 5-e, imagine my surprise when i found a paleontologist did if for me!
1:48 this is absolutely busted, like IMMUNITY means that you can just pull up to a red or white dragon's lair with like 15 spinos and they can't do nuthin about it
I need this book! I've been thinking about getting into DnD, and my I'll probably be Pluvian druid.
A raptor that can transform into other dinosaurs? Yes please!
A video and two shorts in one day? Dinofax is cooking today
There is a Time/Evolution themed Druid subclass too im dying to try out!
I just got a copy & making Waterfall city in Talespire & im hyped!
Pretty nice! I may have never played DND but this looks interesting very much! If I play this game, my favourite place might become Hateg Island because I would find few troubles here and sure I’ll get shrunk but I’ll find a way to stay normal-size. Speaking of which, I could imagine a half-sized T-rex living on the island and face off against Hatzegopteryx! Speaking of which, I wonder if you seen the email I sent to you about a question I had and a very interesting story I had come up with?
Possible abbreviations: Triple D or 3D
I’d look into Planegea. Stone Age High Fantasy. Basically Primal, El Dorado, BoTW and other properties mixed together.
My D&D is forever changed.

I’ve already read the entire thing
Oh boy I have a campaign to write
I'm working on my own dinosaur-themed homebrew setting and this is JUST the inspiration I need!!
Update: I bought the bundle folks!! Im so excited to use it for my next campaign! LONG MAY THE TYRANT REIGN!!
thanks for the rec and code bud
Before I watch the whole thing. I really hope it has one of my favorite dinosaurs, Saurophaganax, it likely doesn't but it would be really cool if it did.
I ❤Dinosaurs
Thats him! He shared a book i will use for world building lol : >
Would be nice if a second book to this made little cameos for all the paleontology and zoology content creators
A fine addition to my collection.
I really want this book and I don't even play DND!
I want this book so bad!
I never knew i needed something so much until today
Can u pls do a breakdown video of this book?
I’ve been trying to create a rule set for one themed off of fossil fighters. Maybe this can help me out
What about… you know…the king? Allow me to elaborate;
The largest and strongest terrestrial carnivore to have ever walked the earth. With a bite force strong enough to decapitate a Triceratops, agility and intelligence surpassing every other dinosaur in its weight class, and senses making the animal an almost supernatural threat, Tyrannosaurus rex is the undisputed king of the dinosaurs.
Hi. I'm one of the authors. I won't spoil but we have two separate T. rex statblocks. Although neither is the typical basline rex
Just ordered this super hyped for it to arrive
I really want to use Dromaeosaurs like Utahraptor and Deinonychus harrasing village and we the Adventurer must deal with them.
How about Dungeons, Dragons, Mermaids, Centuars, Nagas, and Dinosaurs.
So?.. @thedinofax, when are you gonna stream a game running this book??
I always thought the D&D Dino’s were a bit pathetic. This is absolutely amazing as a dinosaur and fantasy fan
Did you watch the Ark Animated Series?
So i can be worlock whit gigant aligator patron
Yo this book looks awesome I like the title Dungeons dragons and dinosaurs and pictures look great I really like it. And will be read this on the channel for live stream I think that would be every nice 👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙😎🐊🐲🐉🦖🦕🔥😎
I can't buy stuff online so I'd really love it if someone makes a DnD series/podcast thingy where this is the setting so I can watch/listen to it. If someone knows where I can find something like that plz tell me.
I just picked this one up, uised the code so thanks for the disscount :D
I want it
Well is this official dnd? Because me and my friends tend do use official dnd so
It is 3rd party
Oh
I wanted to buy this until I saw the art of the player races.
what about 2e jungle of chult?
I wish I could play d&d but I don't have friends 😢
Can we use the comments section as an LFG? I’ve got the book as well but I’m not the good at DMing
