We are more than pleased to present our first plugin: Divisimate Micro.
This smaller version of Divisimate runs as a plugin in your DAW and connects to four ports. At a lower price point it is the perfect entry point to our universe - but with its unique approach, it is also a useful additional tool for anyone who already uses Divisimate.
Well that's a no-brainer, FANTASTIC WORK!
Super happy to see this and just bought it. Finally i can play my best brass instruments with auto-divisi eben though they’re monophonic. Getting the parts printed to individual parts is an added bonus. Game changer.
Awesome! It would be also nice to split voices into different MIDI out channels (not ports) for performance usage.
Yep, we are aware of that option! We're looking into it!
Yep midi out channels please
Whoa! Now it’s a plugin? 😮 Fantastic!
Nice one! Pretty much what I’ve been looking for since using the „big“ Divisimate software. It improves the workflow drastically when it can just be launched in the DAW! Any plans to make it bigger with much more instances for larger templates? Or just as a huge update for the big Divisimate? Or is it possible to use multiple MIDI channels inside the MIDI ports, just like with Divisimate if the 32 ports are not enough? 😉
Great walkthrough, I just downloaded the trial DiviMicro, and am learning minute by minute! Just a note, independent from this specific tuto: please add, in your manual (especially the bigger Divisimate 2), a section for us, poor users of FL Studio for the setup: you covered all DAW but FLS, why? 🙏
Wonderful and extremely useful. Is it possible to select more than one controller as input to the Divisimate Micro? Say for instance that I want to use my midi keyboard for notes and another controller for expression, and I only want to have those two as inputs but I don't want to select "All", is it possible in Logic?
Wow! This plugin does something that I was just thinking of doing manually. This will save so much time!
This video is really well explained and gave me, in detail, everything I wanted to know. Thanks for that!
But I do have one question:
After playing the chords from a track into Divisimate where they are separated into individual parts, can I then mute or remove the original chord track? I assume that you can)
I can't express enough how much I appreciate the depth of the walk through. Now I have to watch a video of the full version to see what I'm missing!
😃
Yes, once you have recorded your parts, they are just midi regions on instrument tracks as anything else. You can remove Divisimate Micro from your project then and the recorded parts will be unaffected.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed this video!
I wonder how this compares to Scaler 2 with its divisi function?
I made a similar question but got not answer so far. Seems like similar things, and Scaler offers a lot more options. Other than the price, not sure why I'd use this over Scaler.
As always, best musical promos 🎉 Such a cool product!
This is sooo cool! I am loving it!
is there a demo available?
There's no automated way of handing out trials yet, but you can reach out to us at support@divisimate.com and we can give you one!
So no voicings presets like big brother, just a quick divisi plugin for splitting chords?
This is great. I have it working easily in Cubase Pro. I also have Reason, and I know it's not an officially compatible DAW for this software, but if you come up with any workaround to get close to the intended functionality, it would be great to hear.
Hi, is there no way to lock scale in Divisimate Micro? That is a huge thing for me.
Also as a composer- that intro song is gorgeous. Kudos to whoever wrote that!
whats the difference between scalers version which assign a note in the chord to a plugin or midi port
So basically, do I think I replaced the Loopplayback device's function with a plug-in? It just feels like the same function, but I don't think I understood it
That's part of it - but there's a bit more than that. Have a look at this video here:
ruclips.net/user/shortsA2PGhbowgrg?feature=share
(Divisimate 2 now runs as a plugin too, but most of the workflow options of Divisimate Micro with the multiple instances are still unique)
Is Bitwig Studio supported? I’m having issues routing MIDI into virtual ports.
once it is all set up for playing chords, what do I do when I want to record on instrument within that group?
Two options:
- Set Divisimate Micro to bypass, record enable just DMicro + the instrument track to record
- Build presets with the melody range enabled and routed to the single instrument and load them quickly through the DAW presets if that's possible (ruclips.net/user/shortsUOh-f9z_OSg), then you can keep them all record enabled
@@Nextmidi Thank you, I will try this! So far loving the simplicity. I remember watching videos of Divisimate a while ago and being hesitant to buy because I assumed it would be complicated to set up. Glad Micro came out, it's just what I needed!
Great addition!
once I checked the demo of the big Divisimate, cause they gived me a trial without any problems- than I bought it immediately,
Now I don’t get response from their support about that demo that I want to check also..
how it will work in my setup..? curious..
Yay!! Great product!
hey guys, when I set up divisimate for a few instruments in my project, All my other tracks get sent midi info from Divisimate as well, preventing me from recording. Am I setting it up wrong?
That's probably because you're using the "All MIDI Inputs" option of your DAW an all the other tracks. With standalone Divisimate you can either a) select your keyboard on the tracks directly b) set Divisimate to bypass and select any single Divisimate Port on these tracks as inputs or c) Turn Divisimate off with the Power Button on the top left to have no additional input through Divisimate.
With Divisimate Micro it should be as simple as not record enabling the Divisimate Micro track when you're recording unrelated tracks.
Really nice addition and flexibility!
Amazing!
This is actually what I was looking for. I totally missed the release news. Can I still get a the discount? I will reach out since I'm a current owner.
Hi Darrin, You missed the intro offer - but you can still get the crossgrade deal with 20% off the list price. It's not a huge price difference to the intro offer.
@@Nextmidi got it.. Thanks
The ability to read existing midi from an ensemble patch and split it out to the strings sections makes this such a timesaver and saves copy/ paste and deleting 4 times! And that I can have an instance for strings, brass, woodwinds and one spare is so welcome. Thanks!
Quick question, if i buy the divisimate micro and later decide i should have gone for its big brother, will there be an upgrade path?
Yes! There's a 10% upgrade discount on the full price of Divisimate 2 for owners of Divisimate Micro.
@@Nextmidi thx. Just bought it !
Now that it’s auv3, any chance of this coming to ipad? We have all the solo swam instruments.
There is indeed a chance. Not the first thing we're working on next though.
@@Nextmidi I’d definitely be interested! More and more people will use ipad for production with Logic Pro 2 for ipad.
But all that could already be done in the Daw without Divisi or not?
Not really - you can split parts by hand or play them in one at a time, but you can't have them split automatically. Some DAWs may have a "split parts" function to pull apart a MIDI region that already exists into some parts. But it does not work live and it does not offer any control about how the parts are split up.
So Divisimate Micro has three main advantages here:
- It saves time compared to creating separate parts by hand
- It allows to play things live and keep the inspiration flow as you hear immediately how things will actually sound with split parts. Not everyone works that way, but a lot of people do.
- It provides control about how things are divided and allows to create things like open voicings or lead doublings automatically.
You’re very kind! So I’ll buy Divisimate.
What I would REALLY like to do is just to select the tracks and have them automatically split based on what is selected.
Presets built in for SWAM instruments?
Disappointing the transpose section doesn't include global scales as in the full version.
Discount for people owning the original divisimate?
I would only buy for the plugin capability, so if you are working on implementing this in the OG Divisimate, tell me now!!😉
We're not stopping at Micro with the plugin functionality - it won't be a free update to Divisimate though.
@@Nextmidi Very nice!!😄
@@Nextmidicould this work in Dorico? For example loading two small SWAM section violin to play unison when only one note is written and then split up when two notes are in the stave. Or would it work via Vienna Ensemble pro? Dorico > Divisi Mate > VE pro > Dorico output

@@matthiasrother9743 i replied but it was removed?
How do you set this up in Studio One?
Check out our Quickstart for Studio One:

Up to 4 instances of the plugin? What does that mean? I can only load in this plugin 4 times in a project?
There are 16 ports available in total. Each instance can handle a group of four ports. So you can do 4-part divisi for up to 4 instrument groups.
@@jamesbrecknell Okay makes sense now. So, I have access to only 16 ports on my computer, so I cannot like say use 8 instances in a project having 4 midi outs each. I wonder if it's possible to not use ports, and just use the midi outs from the plugin? That will not cap the limit on number of instances.
@@5ammy13 When you put a fifth instance of Divisimate Micro into your DAW and open it, it says "No available ports". But all this means is you can only work with 4 sets of 4 ports simultaneously. As soon as you've finished using one instance of Divisimate Micro to create up to four tracks, you can simply delete that instance, and the four ports it was using become available again. I don't know of any way to use more than four instances at a time. I doubt there would be.
Ok wait- DOES THIS ACTUALLY WORK? (From an actual consumer plz)
And- with all Daw? S1 specifically
And- with all players (kontakt/ spitfire etc)
This could be amazing
awesome
Nice
👏🙏👏
Crashes logic pro for me. Anyone else?
