Just realized....they need something like a Canberra in DSC. It could fill the role of a Il-28 "Beagle", a B-57, and.....I don't remember the French straight wing twin-jet bomber. 🤔 That L-39 is "purdy", the eastern-bloc Hawk!!! 😄 That was a freakin' epic campaign. Suggestion: A modern version of this one. Not sure of the Syrian strength, but I know Israel has F-16s, F-15s, and F-35Is, now.

Very fun run today, these missions have been a blast to watch. Just a quick question, do you all mostly remember the different equipment and set ups, or is it partially memory and partially poke and hope you did it correctly?
@@flashgordon6670 not really, as the first entails remembering what to do by the equipment and type, the second adds simply flipping switches and pushing buttons while hoping for the correct outcome. Sorry if it wasn't that clear.
For me, mostly try to bind things that do the same types of things to the same controls on my hotas for most planes. Then the basics are always muscle memory, depending on the aircraft and how long it's been since flown last depends on how much guessing goes on for the rest of it. So for me, F-18c and M2000c most of it is by memory as I fly these the most, if I flew day the harrier I would need to use more educated guesses as I don't fly it as much.

Please do more of that. Maybe set out different warbirds and have a keep race with pit maneuvers included to your favorite plane and then once in the sky an all out fight? The game is called Digital Combat Simulator. The base game is free, but it only comes with a couple of planes and a couple of maps. Most of the planes and maps you'll see in DCS videos cost somewhere between $50 and $80 per item.

It’s for balance reasons. The Mirage F1 is probably a superior plane to the mig-21 so it gets worse missiles. The r-13 are period equivalents to the aim-9j but are still pretty bad missiles. I’m please with the balance of the teams.
Can planes like gen 3 nato planes that Ukraine could probably get as hand me downs from America and American supplied nations take on Russian positions in the Donbas or Crimea? Like phantoms and A5s, planes like that… good planes just older tech.
Yeah he's got to tune his redio to AM 1090 khz, pick up the Spanish station, and it will tell him where the F22 is. The only trick is learning Spanish.
Hey Cap, do you know what military battles used Nuclear, Chemical, Biological or other now banned munitions were used and can you recreate those battles using modern military forces & methods? If you can.
Nuclear has never been used in an actual battle unless you count the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Also, as far as I know, the only thing in DCS that is able to equip and use a nuclear weapon is the MiG-21. And as far as I know, there are no chemical or biological weapons implemented in game. So unless you're talking about finding such battles and trying to fight them with modern conventional munitions, I don't see this as being a viable mission option.
@@Kaelland The 1st & 2nd world wars was notorious for the use of Mustard & Chlorine Gas which killed a gob of soldiers. Zyklon B gas was used to kill prisoners at the NAZI death camps. CO2 gas was used to kill Polish Soldiers too. Thermobaric & Napalm was used in Viet Nam and it is believed that Saddam Hussein used Sarin Nerve gas in Desert Storm, or was going to use them until the French came in and got them back out of Iraq just days before the war was launched, as they didn't want the Americans to find their fingerprints all over the munitions especially if it was used to kill a bunch of American soldiers. What I am really interested in is the scope of the game platform and if these other scenarios can be implemented and how AI would counter their use. Or does everyone just die. I know these weapons are banned, but they are still around and if push comes to shove, they will be used with Malice aforethought.

I do not have a Blood Lust per se, But to be forewarned is to be forearmed and that it half the battle won. These weapons exists and will be used and if a defense can be strategized for that development should it arise, and whether the game can model it. But as far as Nuclear weapons are concerned, I would like to see a scenario where a Seal Team 6 platoon infiltrates and captures a Mobile ICBM battery/launcher and shoot off Russian nukes at China and see what AI does in response. Would China launch a response? Back at Russia or at the USA, or someone else? Or would they Surrender?
@@flashgordon6670 On another video I had inquired into a Full out Rapid Dragon Missile attack on the Three Gorges Dam and what would that scenario require to have a Successful mission, (Which by the way can have Nuclear Tipped Warheads IRL). Although water is not considered to be a Chemical Weapon, H2O is a molecule and just as deadly as any other, because if the Three Gorges Dam is destroyed, the Tsunami that will race down the valley is estimated to kill as many innocent people as a Nuclear Bomb would. With China butting into the Ukrainian war and siding with Russia, I think all scenarios should be explored if possible although I know attacking Orbiting satellites is a stretch.

I would say try again with a little bit better pilots. One of your F-5 dropped all his stores both times before getting on target. Could have easily one this one with a little better flying.
@@flashgordon6670 Blight tried first,. Tankie had no choice but to at least attempt to take off. It was either that or just sit there useless for the rest of the mission. The F5 was loaded pretty heavy and needs a long runway when heavy. Tiny wings really. They landed there to refuel and re-arm, but that was rhier mistake. The Blues won, caps team... I can't actually remember whether that was the Syrians or the others. We were only 1 behind, only 2 vehicles from the convoy were left before the mission end time. So it was very close to being a tie. Great campaign, good fun! Unexpected did a great job!

Have you thought about having Growling Sidewinder on one of your teams? Or even better have his team against yours or one v one?
A lot of the other DCS players get butt hurt when you have fun with the game instead of playing realistically so they don't like GR.

why do the migs get R-13s(AIM-9J equivalents) while the mirages only get AIM-9Bs(russian equivalent would be the R-3S)
