Hi Jenny, your hair is lovely and also so long and healthy! Wow! As for the detangling, the conditioner you have is one of the most slippery conditioners out there, so if you snuggle with it meaning you don't add enough moisture. Once you add the conditioner just add a bit more water back. Also if you get some nasty tangles then add more water and more conditioner. Usually, I end up finger detangling while water is running through my hair. My hair is fine and very dense and quite long too, so I really know what tangly hair means. I also believe you can get better results if you apply that gel on soaking wet hair. Try microplopping after and adding more gel before diffusing. You are most likely 2B wavy - same as me. A little tricks can help you have some ringlets if of course you wish to have them. Hope it helps

Hey, i have 2a hair. I have one tip to not make your hair fluffy after brushing is to put hair cream/oil before brushing. Sometimes i put oil along the teeth comb to get more glide. Ive tried the scrunching with hair products on damp hair and I dont think my hair is wavy, its more straight but i have coarse bits on top of the crown... I really like Love Beauty and Planet shampoos and conditioners, natural and not heavy and smell nice without being overpowering, especially the moisture one for wavy/curly hair.
So relatable! This is the first time I’ve found a video of someone who has the same hair type as me!! I use OGX tea tree shampoo and argon oil conditioner and I’ve found it to be the best combo for the hair type!
the difference between thickness and density is that density is how many strands are on your head for example we usually say people have thick hair when they have a high density or thin hair with low density to test this split your hair down the middle and look at your scalp if its small it's high and if it's a wide parting its low density or you can measure the circumference of a low ponytail. And coarse is the thickness of the strand itself so if you take a strand of hair and rub it between your fingers and it feels like sewing thread you have med to coarse hair if you can't feel the strand you have thin hair.
I have the straightest hair on the planet and I do like, whatever is the opposite of caring for it, but my little sister has wavy hair and I really wanna teach her to care for her hair when she's young
I know I’m 10 months late and you may have figured this out by now but I used to only wash my hair once a week as well because it was too dry to wash any more than that. However washing once a week did it’s job and helped my scalp begin to produce more oil which caused dandruff so i had to start washing twice a week instead. It’s possible the same thing could be happening to you and that’s why the dandruff thingy you use doesn’t help because in this case it’s probably not that your scalp is overly dry but actually it’s overly hydrated which can be treated a lot easier by washing a little more frequently
I would personally say that your hair is more 2a 2b not 2c but do whatever floats your boat. It just might help if you care for it as if it were a looser wave and not so much as 2c
No way would I ever call it 2a. 2a is like, curvy straight, as in, if you saw them on the street u probably wouldn't even think to describe their hair as wavy but if you look closely... yeah maybe a hint of a wave is there. I'd say her assessment of 2b/2c is spot on.
You remind me of ME in so many ways that it’s scary. LOL Your hair looks so much like mine except I am very new to the “CGM” so I’m not sure yet how wavy my hair potentially can get. Currently, looking like a 2A ... possibly 2B. Only thing that really turns me off with CGM is all the products that have to be used just to achieve the ultimate look. I’m a bare minimum, “100% natural products” kind of girl and the thought of so much crap loaded up in my hair all at one time does not sound like a healthy practice to me (😂). I’m experimenting around a bit and made a homemade flaxseed gel to see if that alone works first. If not, I may incorporate mousse into the regimen in addition (I did try it once earlier this week and it looked pretty decent, actually). Also going to play around with certain hair lengths and layers to see if it will help to bring out my waves more, as a more practical approach. But I absolutely can’t accept 3-5 products in my hair at one time, everyday, whether or not the products are 100% natural. Lmbo. I’m very interested to see where this hair journey takes me in the next several months. Thanks for sharing routine in this video!
DUDE SAME. ALL of this. Like EVERY word. Same hair, I only use clean products, and the thought of doing this frequently is off putting. Lol. Have you found cuts/lengths/minimal and clean products that work best for you??
I regards to a new shampoo.. I don't know if you have access to it as I'm in Australia but ai just use the Johnson's baby shampoo which is soap free. I find the lack of certain preservatives stops dandruff and it's very gentle and cheap. :)
Tysm for this video! I'm watching this for my sister because for some reasons her hair is weirdly transitioning from straight hair to 2A type of hair, and my hair on the other side is super curly so I needed to get infos about it. I don't even know how her hair managed to change like that, and it's still transitionning because the ends are still super straight and the inside is starting to be thick and wavy
Ugh finally! One hairdresser was like “Whoa I’ve never seen this before! You have two different textures in your hair”. Also a recipient of the “OMG you have so much hair comment”. Also my hair hurts my head frequently.
FINALLY someone who has my same exact hair! I just started the curly girl method this week and it had been frustrating not finding anyone with my hair type until now. My hair is so heavy and thick that my waves get really weight down so I can't to experiment and see what works for me.
I have fine hair that is very dense. My waves give me volume if I straighten it my hair is sooo flat and blah 😂 bc its so fine it’s so easy to be weighed down
Wavy girl routine Edit: as a fellow wavy hair haver I'd suggest getting your brush wet while you brush, using a serum while you brush (I like argan oil), or using a wide tooth comb and getting it wet while you go (this one is probably optimal) I use Nutribiotic shampoo and conditioner in the herbal unscented. I get it at my health food store that also carries the Giovanni that you use. I use their mouse. My health food store only carries safe products. It is cheaper than Giovanni and lasts me a month plus with a weekly washing. Your wash routine has a lot going on. The reason we can't brush our hair from wet is bc it is too fragile in that state. You're really roughing your hair up with each step in its sensitive state. Maybe do it on different days and not every wash day. I would not acv rinse the same day I wash and condition. This could be why you're seeing frizz and getting tangly. Try not to touch it too much wet. I let mine dry first and then brush it back to damp after washing. My hair does not tangle and each strand is smooth. I also like to scrunch with a cotton bandana bc my hair is long, course, and thick. It's too much for my hands to get it all grabbed. The bandana sucks up moisture too so you can spend less time under the diffuser or bypass it if you're not feeling it that day. My hair gets wet everyday so I can't be doing everything everytime it's wet lol. I also use sea salt spray or saline once it's dry to get more from my waves. That being said your hair is gorgeous and your waves are deepervthan mine. Kind of jealous tbh.
Gotta say, I have such a hard time with my hair, Either I dotn want to go through the process every day... Or it just doesn't stay. Due to it being sensitive because its light waves. Any tips on making ti less likely to fall out?
i just wish I could figure out actual hair type for me. My dark brown hair is exactly like yours with no product or care. just slightly soft barely there curves and waves. I thought from what I saw on some videos that it was a 2a type, but you say yours is 2c? Im soooo confused.
You also have to take into account her length. Her curls got weighted down with the length and gravity. For example I'm a 2c "mainly", with a few 2b and 3a here and there. A "wurly" basically. However, the more my hair grows, the more the weight of it "lengthen" the curls. So now I'm more of a 2b overly. If it makes sense? Just look at a ton (and I mean a ton) of different pictures about curl types. Follow / integrate groups of curlies or wavies and somehow, your brain will start memorizing it all. So that when you see a wavy/curly/kinky, you'll just know there type no matter which length. Obviously, this will be useful for your own hair too. Edit: although, I will say that to me she seems to be more of a 2b overall..
I know this is over ayr old but the way you described your hair was word to word how mine is you hit it bang on its taken loads of videos to get to yours i will even buy what shampoos conditioners etc that u use thank you x

Omgggggg I have found someone with my hair typeeee🎉❤❤
I've watched some of your videos and loved your personality, you're so funny and genuine,i wish i could be your friend😅❤
FINALLY someone who has my same exact hair! I just started the curly girl method this week and it had been frustrating not finding anyone with my hair type until now. My hair is so heavy and thick that my waves get really weight down so I can't to experiment and see what works for me.
I have fine hair that is very dense. My waves give me volume if I straighten it my hair is sooo flat and blah 😂 bc its so fine it’s so easy to be weighed down
Dude, you are so gorgeous, funny, and have the most chill vibe!
i’ve never seen hair so similar to mine i’m definitely growing it out yay!!!
The "stream folklore" comment made me subscribe 😂😂😂💪💪💪
You’re so cute! Happy I found you. I also have a mixed texture, from 2b - 3a and low porosity so you’re giving me LIFE now haha
Literally summed up exactly how I feel abt my hair
my year is basically like yours, im happy i found someone
Wavy girl routine
Edit: as a fellow wavy hair haver I'd suggest getting your brush wet while you brush, using a serum while you brush (I like argan oil), or using a wide tooth comb and getting it wet while you go (this one is probably optimal)
I use Nutribiotic shampoo and conditioner in the herbal unscented.
Any tips on making ti less likely to fall out?
can i just say your voice is so soothing???? like idk i usually skip past the talking parts but not today LMAO
i just wish I could figure out actual hair type for me.
I love your cat🥺and your hair
I used to have enough hair for 3 people and I complained then I got older and it started falling out. now I wish I had all that hair back.
i just checked and my hairs also coarser at the roots. never thought about different thickness on different parts of the hair til now o:
Wow my hair looks exactly like the before, I should probably try this...
your shirt looks drawn on and i can’t stop staring at it HSHAHHA
I know this is over ayr old but the way you described your hair was word to word how mine is you hit it bang on its taken loads of videos to get to yours i will even buy what shampoos conditioners etc that u use thank you x
I'm glad you found someone you can relate to! I was never the biggest fan of the giovanni conditioner but one I've been liking lately is the Acure ultra hydrating argan conditioner, it makes wet detangling much easier.
Apple cider vinegar rinse is bomb for getting rid of dandruff!
I absolutely love my Calia natural shampoo! I got the balance cause I have a sensitive scalp. I got the hydrating conditioner and I’m loving that too but need to order a bigger bottle 🤣
I am in love with your voice
Sheamoisture is THE BEST
Not your mothers naturals pink bottle is my fave shampoo but all the naturals are so good
You have beautiful hair!
The cat and your hair >>>
Came for the wavy hair tips, stayed because I guess I needed a reminder that I am not straight lol. No but in all seriousness you are so beautiful!
