One of my favorite rap songs ever. This album, maybe top 5 of all time. The D.O.C. was doing things lyrically that very few rappers were back then. First album Dr. Dre entirely produced by himself.
Legend... Wrote a lot of the classic NWA, Eazy E and Dr. Dre the Chronic songs.... He got in that accident less than 6 months after the album dropped. He was about to take over....
Thats my. Erra of music. Class of 1988. I was in High school. When this song was made. If funny. To hear these. Youngster. Liking. My music that i grew up on. 😎😎😎
LEGEND! CLASSIC ALBUM! ONE OF THE GREATEST WRITERS IN HIP-HOP HISTORY! Originally from DALLAS, TX THE D.O.C. if he had not got into the automobile accident that injured his vocal chords this guy was would no doubt have been mentioned with BIGGIE AND TUPAC IN THE GOAT CONVERSATION! This is from 1989 and I was 19 then and I can tell you this was the biggest HIP-HOP album from that year, in my opinion. People were heart broken when he got into the car accident. Also his daughter by ERYKA BADU is getting ready to do big things. You have to do,"IT FUNKY ENOUGH " again by the D.O.C.! ANOTHER CLASSIC! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Great Reaction! Great Video!
D.O.C's the formula is a classic and if it wasn't for the car accident he wuld've put out great music and I still be banging this I'm all in wit the ol' school rap ain't nuthn like it
DOC one of the best to do it Let The Bass Go Funky Enough Mind Blowing Remix and he is responsible for writing for your favorite artists Snoop Dogg Dr Dre Eazy E NWA etc
Dre's beats have always been phenomenal . He's a perfectionist and it shows !! And the DOC was dope as hell. Ahead of his time . Tragic what happened to him
This is when rap was about who had talent and wordplay, not who was in the toughest gang, had the most guns or money. He might be the most unfortunate story in hip hop though. Right when his album was at the top, not long after it came out…he had a car accident that destroyed his vocal cords. It was pretty much over at that point. He wrote raps for other artists but his rap career was over.
This whole album should be preserved in a time capsule
Yes!!!!
I swear to God, you ain't lying.
I agree

Absolutely no doubt. The evolution of Dr Dre, the preview of the Death Row sound, and the greatest MC to ever pick up a mic.

The D.O.C. lost his voice due to a car accident not too long after this.
Legend... Wrote a lot of the classic NWA, Eazy E and Dr. Dre the Chronic songs.... He got in that accident less than 6 months after the album dropped. He was about to take over....
Cube & Ren also assisted with the lyrics for Eazy & NWA

Mind Blowin remix is my second favorite by the D.O.C.
Dude was on the verge of superstardom before the accident robbed him of his voice. Lyrically, one of the top 3 rappers OF ALL TIME!!!
I love Is IT Funky Enough, but he really went off on Doc & The Doctor.

The D.O.C. is the reason DoggyStyle is Snoop Dogs best album it's the only 1 he wrote on.

DOC was the West coast Rakim. So lyrical!
this whole album is dope! i remember buying this cassette when it dropped and beating this song on my two 15s. miss ole school hip hop!
D.O.C. did a classic album with no cursing. Fun Fact : The D.O.C. is the father of Erykah Badu's daughter Puma.
The song "The Grand Finale" has cursing in it.
The video that got me really listening to rap was The D.O.C. - Doc & The Doctor
Another song to hear from the DOC. is NWA featuring the DOC. Parental Discretion Adviced
DOC one of the best to do it Let The Bass Go Funky Enough Mind Blowing Remix and he is responsible for writing for your favorite artists Snoop Dogg Dr Dre Eazy E NWA etc
Fa sho...

This album is so ILL. Dre at his best and of course the DOC. Who would’ve been one the best ever. JT peeped the Marvin Gaye sample!
Kool G Rap & DJ Polo "Streets of NY"
Classic!! 💥💥
You should do The DOC & the Doctor next
Did you notice...not 1 swear on any of his songs
1989🔥
Legend!
Bless
Also, the DOC.'s Grand Finale
Dope.
the beat was sampled from Marvin Gaye's song " Inner City Blues "
You didn’t notice the MC Hammer Diss MC Mallad and 45 😂😂😂
You know a rapper is talented when he leaves Dallas at like..19 and becomes a member of NWA.
Classic here
I remember my uncle use to bumb this and the Public Enemy in the El Camino

Gotta do It's Funky Enough, the D.O.C.
They were making fun of M.C. Hammer ( Mallet). Lol
Yeah. It's interesting how they hated in Hammer but later he ended up joining Death row records! But Hammer wasn't a punk!
Kokane - Bakin' soda free👊🏿
I'm slipping cause I didn't even see that the video is playing at the bottom left corner LMBAO at myself
You shud do one on the D.O.C's grand finale that's my shit
Cold
Okay, I found it. I asked on another video.
Dr Dre - “Forgot About Dre” ft Eminem
If he did not lose his voice in a car crash he could have been the best rapper ever
Would have been top 3 of all time if it wasn't for the accident
I didn't think that you wuld've caught that Marvin Gay in the background of the rap and I'm sorry fo doubting ur knowledge
You ,talk too much 😒
