So I found out that this series was supposed to be written by Donny Cates, before his car accident put a stop on that. This was supposed to be the follow up to his Venom run were The Maker came back to 1610 in ruins, which begs the question of wth happened to the original 1610, the venom suit. I mean guess the Makers goal kinda ties into his motives in the Venom run. I guess we just got to see where this goes but damn now all I can think about is the what ifs and could’ves 🤔

I know some people hated this run but Jonathan Hickman did one Hell of a Job bringing back the Ultimate Universe in a new way.
Seriously, I love the Ultimate Universe. Can't wait for Ultimate Universe #1 next month and Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man in January of 2024. But I need to read all of the Ultimate Universe.
Rly the only one u need to read is usm. The rest suck and screw themselves over by trying to be unnecessarily ‘realistic’ (making cap a jerk, Wanda and qs. Etc)

On one hand, I agree with everyone that giving Hickman only 4 months to set up a story is cutting the legs from under him. On the other hand, the last time Marvel had faith in Hickman and gave him all the time he needed to set things up? He left in the middle of it. Yes, I'm talking about X-Men. And yes, I'm still a little bitter about it. I think that's why they gave Hickman a sandbox to play in that's over there, and if it's unfinished, it doesn't affect anything.

Been watching you for years didn't know you were prior service. I get an 88Min or Cook feel from you maybe Commo. But wouldn't be surprised if you we an 11B brother.
Like many others I do think that the series was a bit overpriced, and too short. That being said I had an absolute last with it and I'm excited for this new alternate reality. Frankly the maker is one of my favorite villains right now and I hope we get to see more of him and Reed von Doom or whatever's going on with him.
But without Peter Parker not being Spider-Man anymore, how is this going to work with the new ultimate Spider-Man comic series?
It's Johnathan Hickman, he'll figure out a way to make it work!

@@ComputerBLEWI don't trust Jonathan Hickman at all, first thing he ignored is Brian Michael Bendis Spider-Men II comic that established the Ultimate Universe still being alive post Secret Wars 2015. It even showed Ultimate Spider-Woman and Ultimate Spider-Man (Peter Parker) and the Ultimates beating Ultimate Green Goblin. I was happy with that last send off by Bendis, I cannot believe that entire send off got ruined by this weird story of reviving some off brand Ultimate Universe. Hickman also forgot their were some Ultimate Xmen still kicking around 616 post secret wars. The man starts off the story saying Miles and The Maker are the only ones left. Yeah it's no wonder Japanese manga is killing of American comics in terms of quality and popularity.

I guess? The ending of this run made no sense to me honestly. Mixing time travel with multiverse elements is a recipe for confusion. What is going to happen now? After all, The Maker stopped Spider-Man from existing, yet we are getting a Spider-Man run.

The original Ultimate Universe ended in Secret Wars, but The Maker and Miles Morales survived by getting a new live in the main universe. Then, The Maker created a new Ultimate Universe and that's what we're going to see now
