We don't know what his end goal is, he's far from benevolent from previous encounters. That is what makes a Universe under the Maker's control so worrisome

I disagree. There was a lot I personally enjoyed about the Ultimate universe. I've also met a decent number of people who enjoyed it. Ultimatum and Ultimates 3 were terrible, and I never really liked Ultimate X-men (Bendis had a decent short run) too much, but it was its own thing. Ultimate Enemy, Ultimate Spider-man, early Ultimate Avengers, Ultimates 1 and 2 and Hickmans Ultimates (and the minis) were all worthwhile comics I would recommend. That's just me tho.
@bplusstudios9031 Yeah, it's one of the 2 things that came out of the ultimate universe, they made everyone else in the ultimate universe just kinda mean/lowkey evil and it just doesn't work for me

The Maker is an interesting villain because he recreates the Ultimate Universe in his own image. I found out a rumor that Doctor Doom will show up in Ultimate Invasion as the Anti-Maker.
I would love to see a fight between doctor doom and the maker.
I suppose one way of freshly tying in Dr. Doom's "Ultimate" origin story alongside The Marker is to replace the former king of Latveria who Dr. Doom overthrows in his 616 origin story with the Maker. Dr. Doom comes in out of nowhere leading a revolution, and steals all of Reed's stuff for once like the cosmic pirate he is always meant to be.

I’m really interested in this new Ultimate Universe. I only ever read some of the Ultimate Spider-Man, but nothing else. I think I’ll branch out now and read more of the original universe while waiting on this new one to finish cooking.
Ultimate Spiderman really was special, a lot of good memories reading those hardcovers for me, sadly never could get into the Ultimate X-men and Ultimates, they felt really mean spirited by comparison.

@@thegamebusters5413 Maybe? I bowed out of Ultimate universe stuff after Ultimatum personally so I'm not super well versed with when Miles was introduced or with with Parker's return to be fair.
The ultimate universe was better than the regular members until they started pulling up the gay characters and killing everybody off trying the social justice stuff before it was even a thing but it was awesome for the first six or seven years
@@thegamebusters5413no, I don't think the Ultimate universe is going to straight up come back, especially since The Maker went to this universe and basically removed all of the superheroes, Cap, Hulk, the FF, Tony Stark, The Avengers, etc

Man, when Dr. Doom eventually finding out that Reed(The Maker) is trying to rewrite history but took over his country in another universe. You KNOW DOOM will be unhinged as hell lol
I would love to see the ultimate universe returns. But the reason that intitive worked, at least early on, was because on the strong talent behind it: Millar, Bendis, Ellis, and later on Hickman. Marvel also had some great artists on their Ultimate line too, especially for the early on. Marvel doesnt have that deep of a talent pool to draw from anymore outside Hickman IMO, unless they bring some classic writers back. But I do miss that glorious 2000's edge and at its best the Ultimate universe felt fresh (Ultitmatum is one of the worst events in comics ever though).

Bendis and Hickman are most definitely NOT "strong talent". They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Ellis.
I like the ultimate universe more it’s more current and the designs look better also the hulk is more savage and stays true to the comics ‼️
I actually liked the the ultimate comics. Especially Spiderman. Could have done better with the xmen. But the more grounded universe had some well revised characters and interested tweaks

Love the ultimate universe from 2000 to 2008 I thought it was better than the regular marvel universe until they started with all the nonsense but up to that point it was better I mean hulk in the ultimate universe is what he would be He's a monster of course he might eat people and things like that when people were shocked by that I'm like why wouldn't he do stuff like that this is a raging monster and when Brian hits draws him it's the coolest looking version of the hulk I've ever seen and Esad ribc the second coolest
Ultimate Invasion itself is a fun 4-parter, but it seems more like a finale to The Maker as a character than anything else.

With this comic and everything going on with the X-Men. I think we are getting a reshuffling of the status quo. Ultimately I think a lot of the 616 heroes will have a home in the ultimate universe. Probably with an emphasis on building up heroes who could use the spotlight or benefit from separation. I could see Miles going back to the ultimate universe. I could see Silk going with him. Maybe all of mutant kind but I hope mutants all end up in a more separate world where maybe we could focus on something other than basic survival. Maybe legacy heroes could have ultimate books.
This is a ultimate universe, but not the original one. This one feels different somehow.

What I like about Ultimate, and Earth-2 is that they have beginning, twist, and the end. Neither universe ended in happy term, but they still had some type of conclusion.

*I used to be a big fan of Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate Miles Morales, but the fact that they just revived Ultimate Peter Paker really pissed me off to quit reading! That's also why I didn't care that they killed the ultimate universe. Still cool that Miles wasn't buried in the trash can of comic book history*

The time travel doesn't work. IF the maker kills the ancestors thereby erasing the future army then they never would have come in the first place...so it's a paradox.
However it was also pointless for the future army to travel back to kil/stop l the maker and Howard.
If they succeed then whatever reason they had to go back never occurred and then they wouldn't have any reason to go back in the first place..or know where/when or even who they were after. It's lazy writing. However I still enjoyed it?
