Your narrating voice is powerful man. You educate and you entertain I love your content and I’m happy that I stumbled into it. Video felt like 5 min would love to fish with you
All of the fishing channels I'm used to watching are based out of Florida, Cali, or Australia. It's kind of refreshing to see something from up north, and it's really cool to see you guys selling direct to consumer. I always wondered if that was feasible. Also the banter with the old salty guys was money. Dope channel!
Is it cost effective? Let's say you catch 60kg fish a day? You seel average price 8dollar a kg? Maybe 10dollar kg? Since it's super fresh. 600dollar-30dollar for oil, 30dollar maybe each day for payment on boat, 10dollar for fishing equipment, 10dollar on bait. Probly bad at estimate. Let's say your left with 350-400dollar right? You work 13 hours a day? Split it between 2, 180 dollar for an day? Eeeh not that great
Man, talk about being impressed (SUBSCRIBBED). Great video production. Your mates are MATURE and not loud and obnoxious. That said, I've only seen 1 video so far, but I really enjoyed you as the Host and your supporting cast.
Love that you're showcasing one of my favorite ways of cooking fish; the ginger and scallion accentuate the freshness of the fish and is the classic Cantonese method. Save time with just laying the ginger and scallion (and cilantro if you'd like) right on top of the fish and pour the hot oil right over it as it will help preserve a lot of the flavors of the aromatics. Great video as always! 💯💯💯
Quite agree, my Cantonese grandma would balk at stuffing the fish into a pot though! 😄A wok would be the utensil to use, with a porcelain or metal plate as a base.
I love that you hang out with typical Massholes (since I'm a Masshole). I like to think that we're the friendliest people in the meanest and rudest way possible. Our lack of decorum keeps everyone honest. Your other videos are great, too. Very educational and entertaining. It's just nice seeing you hang out with the boys. You're one of us, and I love it.

I think you should try educating your customers about cusk in order to sell more of them! Like, get a piece of poster board and write down some stuff about cusk. Or take one of the bigger cusk, cook it up really good, and pass out samples of it. You will want to cook it in such a way that it will still be good cold, or else have a way to keep it warm for longer.
Woah ain’t been this early in awhile. Gotta say I love hearing the realness of everyone with the swearing even if you have the censor it, I’d rather hear the beeps than you cut around it. Keeps a tab more real ;) while I’m here, How’s everyone’s day going? 🥰
Here we use the cod tounge as well, its a delicacy. Pollock is a very good fish, "Gammelsalta sei" Old salted pollock and pollock in general is a very good fish. Should have potatos and carrot to the fish
Bruh why’d I see this posted 3 secs ago? In all honesty tho, your channel has helped me get back into fishing, and I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Thanks man!
Just something to try out: Vegetable oil/Canola oil I try to stay away from. Swap the vegetable oil for olive oil and cook a little longer at lower heat ( olive oil has a lower flash point) so it does not burn and you'll notice a welcome change in flavor. Also crush up a garlic clove and throw it in- Thats the Italian in me. You may like it better
Selling direct? That’s how many small time fishermen in the SEA region make their daily living. Selling freshly caught fish direct to neighbours, friends, relatives just to get by the day.
thats the way fish should be sold . thats how we do it in the caribbean thats the best way. from the sea to the buyer from the back of a pickup truck then to the pan that evening, best way
Just to let anyone know pollock are different to coalfish you can tell by the white line along the fish on a pollock the line has a small bump and a coalfish is just a straight lateral line
I love cod and I grew up fishing them. Sadly the population has shrunken so badly in the Baltic Sea which is why private fishing for them is forbidden since this year.
Question: Why are lifejackets used so little in these videos? What if the boat hits rocks or shallows where you then end up in the water? Are lifejackets mandatory in the States and canada?
I love seafood so much but don’t get to have it very often because I live in Kansas 😢. Next time I’m on the west coast or east coast I’m having seafood.

Just found this channel can’t wait to figure out what 24 hours of commercial fishing a specific fish means exactly.
