Nissan hands down ↩️💯. I was 27 yrs old when I bought my first 2006 Nissan Armada LE. An it still run smoothly just a little ticking nose coming from the intake manifold or either the injectors.
There is a bit of scientific advantage working for the Nissan, the higher tow rope is mounted, that person has a advantage of slightly unloading rear traction from lower pull point on opposing vehicle. Given a large enough difference, a 20hp lawnmower could pull on a 50 hp lawnmower. Physics.
I'll agree with the Nissan trucks are great, but I've had two Toyota trucks in my family, the first ate engines like candy and the other did the same with transmissions. Well Said! "SHUT UP GRAB A TOW STRAP!" Love It! but yea honestly the first vid i saw titan Vs Tundra! It could go either way folks depends on who gets/loses Traction first! good fun Pull! two thumbs up
this isn't about who's truck is tougher or stronger. it's actually very simple, once you start slipping, the guy that doesn't have his tires spinning has the upper hand in traction. try and move the driving wheels while its standing, no go. then when the tires start slipping the same applied force can move the car side to side.
The guy in the Tundra floored it and lost traction almost immediately and the guy in the Nissan just waited and idled him away in what I'm assuming was 4L, then they did the opposite on the second pull. This isn't so much a test of the trucks as a test of the drivers understanding how to do a tractor pull lol.
Look closely and you'll see the back end of the Titan is taller than that of the Tundra. Once there is tension on the rope the Tundra will naturally lose traction because it is being lifted a little.
i have to tell you now this is my own point of view i had a 2009 toyota tundra and loved the truck drove it from ohio to clear water Florida with 7000 pounds of bass boat behind it 4 differnt times now im pulling the same boat with a 2012 nissan titan and i have to say on the high way and through the smokie mountains my nissan preforms better. but my toyota did get better gas mileage anyway just wanted to give some feed back from a guy who had both trucks they both are awsome trucks probably go with the titan again in 2015 .wish one of them would come out with a diesel though.yes toyota and nissan there is a huge market for diesel truck specifically for guys hualing 7000+ over 1500 miles come on guys build us one
2016 for tundra with a 5.0 liter with 300 hp and 500lbs of torque towing should be in the 15,000 is my guess but for the Titan it's in 2015 not sure of engine size on it
What a joke you have big off road tires on that Niss and stock street tire on the Tundra. Change the tires around and the Tundra will pull the niss all over town.
larger tires raises the final ratio mathematically lowering power to the ground, and last time I looked off road tires have large clean-outs for mud/rocks which will actually lower contact with the street, so neither aspect of larger tires helps him. cant tell about the tundras right rear but obviously both fronts were pulling. the nissan had both fronts spinning but the rear left wasn't (I thought the pro4x package had a rear locker...) and actually the only thing the video proves is whoever loses traction first loses, since both times one truck starts smoking the tires then the other truck pulls them...
Yeah those are offroad tires not street tires like the toyotas. Let me make easy on ya. Street tires are made for the streets since they have better grip than offroad tires on street..
The Toyota is the Bigger, Heavier truck with the bigger, more powerful engine and 4:30 gear ratio for a heavier towing capacity. Obviously the Tundra wins unless it's tires are bald.

It's not just the tires. Look at the surface they are pulling on. You also have to look at how much torque is available and at what rpm range, is it higher or lower than the competitor, the gearing in the rear effects the outcome as well. That Titan is lifted, so down force on the rear comes into play on it, just watch how low the back of that Titan squats. The drivers ability is important too. If the Titan had waited like his first attempt, then he could've walked that Tundra around all day.
