The Cemetery of Forgotten Books is a quartet but every books works as its own entryway.
Barcelona, 1945: A city slowly heals from its war wounds, and Daniel, an antiquarian book dealer's son who mourns the loss of his mother, finds solace in a mysterious book entitled The Shadow of the Wind, by one Julian Carax. But when he sets out to find the author's other works, he makes a shocking discovery: someone has been systematically destroying every copy of every book Carax has written. In fact, Daniel may have the last of Carax's books in existence. Soon Daniel's seemingly innocent quest opens a door into one of Barcelona's darkest secrets--an epic story of murder, madness, and doomed love.

This is one of my favorite books of all time and you captured it very well. I don’t remember any particular quotes or scenes, what stayed with me is more the feeling of the book, the mysterious smoky feeling and the stories within the story and the complexity and magic of the book and of life and people. It was a very special experience reading it and you did the right thing savoring it 😊
There are more books about the cemetery of forgotten books and I highly recommend them as well. I have read two of them so I still have one novel and one shorter novella (or however it’s classified) left to read.

Thank you. I could spend all day talking about this book and it wouldn't be enough. Zafon really went all out, the symbolism of the cover alone (which I forgot to mention) already had me hooked. So glad you approve of the video!

There was a question about that 5:51 in the exam. It's because your home library should reflect you.
