Another idea, if you can’t find the kit, eggshells painted in your colours of choice, break into pieces and mix with polymer clay. Roll out or mould into your shape of choice and add bits of eggshell to give you the effect and then seal. Actually, it works a treat. 😉
Hi tina, thank you for the information, i love your video🤍 I'm from Indonesia, and i really want to make it for my small business, but there's no jesmonite in indonesia. Do you know what material that give the same result as jesmonite? Because, i think if i use concrete, the result might not be as good as if i use jesmonite Thank you😊
This looks super cool but tbh doesn't seem worth it to me... Those kits from Etsy were sooooo expensive and I honestly think your DIY terrazzo clay that you did previously looked just as good. I really appreciate you taking the time to test this but doesn't seem worth the cost.
Thank you so much, Molly! Yeah, it definitely had a decent price tag on it, but wanted to share the experience since you get to make 3 with the kit I got. I can’t wait to share more DIY with you guys and thank you so much for watching ❤️❤️❤️
You might want to try a dollar store spatula to help with removing clumps from your mixture. That is what we use in dentistry to mix impression material really fast and efficiently.
@@tinalemac It's great to see such accessible Jesmonite tutorials. Even though it's been around for nearly 40 years, it's still so new to the art world. Even we haven't discovered everything it can do yet!
I've been an artist on a hobby level for most of my life but sometimes I get stuck and cannot get my inspiration. I love this channel, it's so inspiring. Thank you for that.
Awww thank you so much, Jilly! You’re too kind. I’m glad I can give a little inspiration and I hope you share a project with me soon! You guys inspire me just as much ❤️
The result is very beautiful. It looks really realistic and I love the colours you chose. I work with real terrazzo in my line of work and the techniques are really similar to what you did in this video 😊
That looks really cool. I wonder if you could sprinkle some of the jesmonite directly onto the mould as well as mixing some into the solution. That might help more of the jesmonite to dry on the surface so you wouldn't need to do as much sanding😊
Wow the kit is very expensive... I was shocked on the $$ I could buy a few trays with the price .. I thought dyi was to save u $$ So ill have to pass on this 1
Yes, I mention at the end that this DIY is more pricey, but the kit will make you 2-3 trays. And it includes everything you need, especially since the mold and pigments will last you for several projects. I think it's worth it to make a custom piece and the quality is AMAZING!
Omigosh! This is so pretty! I’ve been working with resin and it’s a little difficult since it is toxic so I might switch to this type of mix. I absolutely love the style of your video as well ^,^ just subscribed 😻
Thank you for teaching me about this material! Never heard of it before and it seems super cool. I'm based in germany so hopefully I can access the material to try out one of these cute projects!
It feels like a ceramic piece! It's unlike polymer clay which has that more plastic-y feel. I was very impressed with the quality, it has some weight to it!
Thank you so much! I also saw TikToks about this and wondered what exactly they were using. But none of them replied to my questions haha so I looked on RUclips and found your video! xoxo
Hello, what a good job. I'm about to venture to make white cement terrazzo-style dog bowls but I have a question. What pigments can I use that are non-toxic (food grade)?
@@amandageistbesser omg I thought you meant the t in the beginning was silent and I was like whoa 😲🤯. But you meant you don’t pronounce a “t” sound like you do in pizza hahaha 😅
@@amandageistbesser yeah you do. It’s an Italian word, and in Italian, double Zs have more of a T sound. You don’t pronounce “pizza” as “peeza.” “Teh-rah-zo” is more of an americanized pronunciation.
There are many jesmonite content creators online like Claire's crafty corner. I also want to make jesmonite, unfortunately in the Philippines, its hard to get this kit
Beautiful work. Is this toxic? I heard that you need a respirator for resin but since u said this is eco-resin and not available in the US yet… I really want to know.
Thank you, Elina! Super excited for this new series too and how I can share with you more insights on these new DIYs I try out. 😍 And I’m seriously obsessed with the tray, I wanna make MORE 🙈💖
hey tina! do you think we could do the same with white cement? that way it can be coloured, and we can spread the cement out super thinly for the “chip” effect?
So happy that I can share more about this new material and spark some inspo! Already planning on making more items with it and can’t wait to see what you all make too 😍💖

who else loves tinas videos? 🙋♀️❤️
Ahhhh, you are too sweet! Thank you, Yuliya! Hope you love the video 🥰

Me she is the best i love her diy
This is really good because unlike resin you do not require full PPE and it's eco friendly.
Do you know what eco-friendly resin consists of?
I'm surprised this hasn't taken off. I'm just now finding out about it. The switch from epoxy will be beneficial in the long run for me.
After sealing it with acrylic sealer, will the texture of the coaster became glossy? How to maintain the matte effect?
So excited for this new series!!!
Thank you so much, Kaitlin ❤️ I’m so glad and I have so much more to share!!
Okay definitely gonna try this I work with epoxy resin for cups so this should be easy for me
You make everything look easy!🥰😂
Aww thank you, Zara! I can’t wait for your next project ❤️❤️

Would you be able to put into a silicone mold this method?
@@Thepercsofbeingawallflower if the original recipe is doable in a silicone mould then so is this.

Can I know what kind of the name of that liquid-based and the powder-based? also what kind of pigment u use for that?
Is this toxic or cause health issues? Like epoxy is considered toxic right? Is this medium safe to
work with than epoxy?
What if we usedlike recycled products like paper or magazines, would it work?
I’m allergic to epoxy resin fumes. My eyes swell and I get a rash on my arms. Does this have harsh fumes?

Does anyone know where I can purchase a similar kit?? Etsy link doesn't have it anymore 😔
There is a distributor in BC, Canada. Cheaper than buying from UK.
Woo you are so sweet
It's gorgeous! I love the colors and the style. It would match every room in my house and is definitely useful.
Thanks for exploring this medium! Can wait to try it. Awesome video!
Omg I wonder if I could use my acrylic nail drill to sand it down faster 🤣 love this diy thanks for sharing!!
Can you tell me the name of the substance at 11:08? Thank you!
Very cool, just noticed you called acrylic resin an eco resin. It is not. It’s a synthetic resin it’s plastic.
I'm sorry but can you please tell me how many tray can make if i buy the basics kit ?,
