The paper on the door suggests Vietnam for the weaving part. Signs on the store in the middle part is Philippines. I don't recognize the language on the third quarter with the peeler machine. The last part is maybe Indonesian.
Nice to know all parts of coconuts are useful to make household items, also to make chicken feeds and healthy edible for humans Everything from coconut is organic.
Awesome weaving techniques!! I love freshly picked coconuts, the coconut water & the coconut meat!! We cut them with a machete as well, in Guatemala!! Mexico & Central America, as well
If all sea ports in the world will use natural materials like coconut and abaca ropes instead of synthetic/plastic/ toxic materials. The world will be a better place. This is reliable and very eco friendly. ❤

they are great addition to kitchen runners and great at absorbing oils but yeah once the lifespan is done, we may need to change it every 4-6 months, and our cats seems to love these mats by the entrance doors and their litter boxes as they uses it to maintain their nails.
In tropical countries where coconut is abundant, nothing gets wasted. There are lots of products that come out from that tree. It’s amazing how they utilize every part.
Those were some heavy duty mats made at the beginning. Fishermen I watch regularly refer to coconuts as 'God's Nuts'. I find it hard to disagree. Along with bamboo, another of our God's creations that has so many uses and both seem invisible to us in the Western world. Lovely video.

I saw somewhere that cellulose based fibers have more resistance to sunlight than man-made fibers. Of course, they will rot but maybe they can be treated with something organic to help that.

Philippines was doing this and even the hemp we made it as very strong ropes
3:59 they use syntetic rope to set the tension for a reason: coconut rope is not strong enough to be used on ships. That’s why they use it in mats.
