If all sea ports in the world will use natural materials like coconut and abaca ropes instead of synthetic/plastic/ toxic materials. The world will be a better place. This is reliable and very eco friendly. ❤

Nice to know all parts of coconuts are useful to make household items, also to make chicken feeds and healthy edible for humans Everything from coconut is organic.
Awesome weaving techniques!! I love freshly picked coconuts, the coconut water & the coconut meat!! We cut them with a machete as well, in Guatemala!! Mexico & Central America, as well

In tropical countries where coconut is abundant, nothing gets wasted. There are lots of products that come out from that tree. It’s amazing how they utilize every part.
What equipment would you buy to import coconuts and use the throw aways for when there are no facilities here to recycle... hmm not a practical supposition.
Yes from roots until leaves coconuts lots of benifit…every single from coconuts are so important..we have that in PHILLIPINES ..THE COCONUTS song..or DA COCONUTS NUTS

they are great addition to kitchen runners and great at absorbing oils but yeah once the lifespan is done, we may need to change it every 4-6 months, and our cats seems to love these mats by the entrance doors and their litter boxes as they uses it to maintain their nails.
I saw somewhere that cellulose based fibers have more resistance to sunlight than man-made fibers. Of course, they will rot but maybe they can be treated with something organic to help that.
What/where are these mats used. They look strong and perfect for outdoor use. Even great for gardening and soil stabilization and water retention projectd
Have a look at how yarns are made..be it wool fibre, cotton fibre, etc. When the lady is fluffing the yarn rubbing with her hands, it's like carding it prior to being spun by the machine. Yarns can be done with a drop spindle, spinning wheel or commercial machine. You can even spin dog hair too 😊
Those were some heavy duty mats made at the beginning. Fishermen I watch regularly refer to coconuts as 'God's Nuts'. I find it hard to disagree. Along with bamboo, another of our God's creations that has so many uses and both seem invisible to us in the Western world. Lovely video.
This is located in the Philipines, such a hard labor intense work that needs to be recognized.

Philippines was doing this and even the hemp we made it as very strong ropes
3:59 they use syntetic rope to set the tension for a reason: coconut rope is not strong enough to be used on ships. That’s why they use it in mats.

Beautiful! Amazing! Recycle and reused and reduced. Bravo. Amazing. Loved them!
Классное производство! Я в восторге! Супер! Молодцы 🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍
Same as cotton or wool the fibers are stronger after twisted together much like grass rope, I like the way they are making the mats
