God blessed me with my husband, who is my best friend. We dated for three years before getting married, remained celibate, and shared our first kiss at our wedding. Neither one of us had ever been married before, and he was the 1st and only man that I dated after getting saved. God is good! Now, we're raising our daughter to wait on the Lord because he (her future husband) that finds a wife has found a good thing and has favor in the sight of the Lord. Be patient and prayerful. God cannot fail!

This morning my co-worker said Bee I found something that I wanted you to see but I didnt send it to you lastnight because I thought it was to late. i belive that the idea of a wright person is a modern idea that in my opinion is wrong. the same with the right job and so on. there are people who are better and there are thoose who are worse but everyone has some things that will make the other a bit mad, People need to realise that there is no right person and that we have all faulty caracters, the secret is for both partners to recognise their deffice sies and work toghether to improve themselvs. there is no perfect person

Great message, I love it but, I follow this rule too:
1) If he dosen't put God first
2) If he doesn't have a prayer life and read his word
3) If he doesn't have a church home
4) If he is sexually active
5) if he isn't reliable
6) If he wants me to change my abstaining for God.
He is definetly out. this list may seem long but most times this can be found out in 1 or 2 conversations. I don't hang around at all !!! Basically this pastor said it all !!!!

'He' or 'She', I have had experiences where women in the church called me a homo cause they wanted sex and I didn't cause wanted I hold up God's standards and wait.
If a man truly loves a woman he won't let her suffer or overburden her. He will help her, by either by cooking and cleaning himself or by hiring someone to help her.

"Sex before marriage will blind you to a person's true character ", I receive that, so grateful to God for giving me the strength and discipline to be celibate for the last few years. I pray he continues to give me the discipline as I have no desire to get married. These brothers expect you to work and pay half the bills, and do ALL the of cooking, cleaning, and laundry. We are humans not super women.

I was celibate for 5 years after telling myself that I will wait for God to send me the one. I have always prayed and asked God to keep those guys who meant no good away from me. However, in 2016, I met a guy who seems stable but never prayed to God and I kept hearing statements from others who said he was a womanizer but never actually listened because I thought those individuals didn’t want to see me happy. Long story short, this relationship almost destroyed me emotionally, and spiritually. God gave me a vision of what was to come and even used a prophet to fore warned me but never listened. Today, I am only here because of God’s grace and mercies.

Nobody needs to be test driven to get married. Being married involves a lot more. Life compatibility and character, well he showed me he doesn't have the character and doesn't care to change. I married somebody 32 years ago with hidden character flaws, he was not my soulmate. I met somebody with the same character flaws. There are a lot of ungodly minds not connected to their souls. When you get close to God you can discern.
Test driving destroys people. You should have courted him until his flaws were evident instead of jumping into marriage. Eventually all masks fall off.

Farrah, we choose if Marriage if for us or not but if you go to Genesis, it clearly states what our roles are. We are supposed to leave our families and cling to one another. Most of our heartbreaks (Not all) come from not submitting to GOD. We date, we fornicate, we get caught up in the chemistry and emotions and we have compromised GODS word and then sit around heartbroken wondering why GOD did not bless this. I have made this mistake in my own life many times but GOD will allow us to go around the same mountain, over and over till we get it right. The Israel people took 40 years to make a 3 day trip.
I am sorry you fell into a abusive relationship, I been there too. If we choose GOD first, it will come. This goes back to GODS original plan for man and woman. God is just waiting for us to "Seek him and his righteousness first. This is hard lesson I had to learn. And even then we must be faithful to GOD first because people are crazy LOL. GOD gives us free will and even good people, GOD loving people can change. Thank you Pastor John! I am a single 51 year old female believer, born again and spirit-filled, a believer all my life - never married and no kids. I have attended church all my life, and all over the world, wherever God opened doors for me to work - I lived in 8 countries over the last 19 years. And I never met any 'Christian' male who invited me to be part of his life. Majority of the males sitting in church, are not saved, have no relationship with God and are not born again and not spirit-filled. How can I just marry a Christian male who sits in church, not saved, born again or spirit-filled and no passion for God, does not read or know God's word or even lives a godly life and lives just like the secular folks? For me this is very serious incompatibility - I certainly do not want to be married to male like this! God does not say be 'equally yoked with Christians' , He says 'be equally yoked with believers'. And there is a huge, massive difference between a Christian and a believer (born again and spirit filled). And yes, I do love cooking and cleaning (I am a clean freak!) and the queen of organization...!!! but I am not going to live with a dirty, filthy, untidy, smelly male, however godly he may be - when I was growing up, the old folks used to say 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'!!!.....and they were 100% right! the more godly you become, the more clean you become..!!!....the reason many of us single, female believers are still single is because most of our so-called Christian males, pursue ungodly, unbelieving women and marry them. I have seen that all over the world, not just in my country. And they bring these women to church to marry, and pastor blesses the marriage. Toxic churches and toxic pastors!!!...and then these 'so-called Christian' males get into trouble, their marriage fails hopelessly - then they either back in the church looking for a godly, believing woman,or they are so disillusioned, they decide to stay single. God is faithful to us single, believing, spirit-filled, godly women -HE will give the desires of our hearts,in HIS perfect timing...but in the mean time I rest in HIM.

When we are truly born again we have an obligation to attend all Church functions including Bible study, Sunday School and regular Church service. How is it that we show up for work on time to please a ungodly supervisor, but cannot remain faithful and obligated to JESUS!

Oligation? I consider it free will. We are truly born again when we go beyond the 4 walls of a church organization building which so many don't if people are honest. Today's church has become a money making business and a social club no different than a secular business. I learn that being in a church building alone is not enough anyway your witness must be shown outside to the world. Jesus and His disciples (later apostles) went outside the temples and help people and reach the lost. When people quit being comfortable and finally mature and go beyond religion, cliques, and entertainment? Something is terribly wrong when people stay comfty and seem to care less about the hurting out there. Not being mean just saying what I have learned from personal experience. I come across so many people who can't see this. I don't consider it an obligation to be with Jesus. We need the Savior but it is love for Him . He was not obligated to die for anyone because He willingly and loving chose to do so so I chose to follow Him like many because of His love . Obligation is not love

Your husband is not your own, if he is sleeping with other women and harlots throughout the marriage, that marriage is broken and over.

This is a good message. His point at the 18 minute mark was especially good. I think that one major problem is that many older couples had sham marriages or poor marriages where they have not gotten their own parents blessings, so they have no blessing to pass on to their children. There are very few God honoring couples.

Love those Cs but the last one goes both ways. I believe that the wife should cook and clean; however, nobody wants a filthy man and as the husband and the head of the home he should be sensitive and simply loving enough to know that sometimes she may not feel like cooking and would enjoy being treated to a meal. Yes, do his end and not expect her to pick his clothes off the floor, or clean toilet seat if He messes it, for instance. Cleaning is hard enough work without that.
And just like men getting days off works, sometimes she needs a day off from cooking.
And if he's not working, but she is, he helps more with cooking and same goes if both are not working.

Powerful message indeed! I am back again after a conversation I had with a man who is turning out to be more interested in me than I am in him. He is already saying I will have his daughter one day since he already has a son! And he barely mentions what God done in his life unless I ask. It's raising alarms! I came running back to this message!

I agree with this message however we live in a world where the partner being described doesn't appear anywhere. There are a whole lot of women commenting as well but the truth is this message is for you. I have met a multitude of Godly men by their actions but other than women attending church and appearing christian I am yet to meet a Godly woman.

You should be looking unto God because the enemy comes as an angel of light. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He deligtheth in His way. So if you allow God to order your steps you can't go wrong and will not be deceived. You have to be in a position to hear from God. Read Psalm 37: 4-7.
