I used to watch your videos when I was 11 years old. I am now 20 in college and I just started my own baking company. My 11 year old self would be so proud. You are the reason I love to bake. I still rewatch some of the favorite videos of yours now and then ❤️
Every time I watch your recipe video's I am always left in amazement. I made the rainbow fudge that you had on Pinterest. let me tell you, I was made famous by that fudge. It was so good and the colors came out so crisp and bright. People could not believe I made it. I was shocked I made it to be honest. Thanks again, this is my next project :) Tony
This video might be 9 years old now, but i come back to it everytime i make these cookies. Almost every year i get a craving for them and theyre a serious comfort-food that i usually make and eat when im having a rough time. They seriously bring a little color back into my life and im so happy to have seen this recipe all that time ago!!
@ShiroxYume You need a balance between not chilled enough and too chilled. If it is too chilled it will fall apart when you roll it, not chilled enough, too sticky.
This is an excellent recipe! It worked really good to bake cookies as a circle, then cut with spatula end when they came out of oven. Helpful hint for measuring portions. I only used 4 colors. Cut log into 10 equal portions, then use 4 parts for outer layer, 3 for next layer, 2 for next layer, and finally 1 section for inner color.
I have not seen other videos with the fast forwarding that you use. I think it's a brilliant idea! Yes, we can see and understand what's going on beautifully this way without the video needing to be done in real time. I also appreciate that you have taken the time to give us all the information in writing. Very thoughtful and professional of you. Thanks. ...and the cookies look great too :-)
Yes, but after you work the food colouring in, the heat from your hands will make the dough heat up and get sticky and you will have to re-refrigerate it.
The dough is very soft, You will notice how I handle it with the paper and not my hands very much. I have no idea what to suggest about the condensation, I've never encountered that before. You may have to add some flour sprinkled on top of the dough or maybe try a different dough recipe
im 21 and male and home bound due to an accident, i have a week off and bored watching youtube videos , went from link to link until this, wow i have to make. thankyou x x
The size of the sugar grain. Powdered sugar is just that, the texture is like powder. Granulated sugar is larger grained (pieces) like little granules. Most people know granulated sugar as "regular" sugar they use everyday
The rolling of the dough and the layering is a bit fussy to do, so it would depend on her age, but nothing says you have to make these exactly as I did. You could make ropes of the dough and twist them together into fun shapes
LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your videos. I'm a huge fan. You make everything so simple and easy to follow. Why don't you have your own cooking show on television? You are amazing.
i have used so many of your recipes and they have all turned out splendidly!! thank you so much! I'm about to go make these cookies and there is no doubt in my mind the product will be any different than the others :)
Wonderful idea! I love to experiment with color in what I bake. Just the other week, I baked a rainbow layer cake. I should definitely give this a try. Thanks so much for uploading!
Hello, I am a high school student from Mexico, I just wanna to say than YOU very much!!! Because I made this recipe for a school project and I get the highest grade! :D All beacause your help! Really, thank you very much. Regards!!
You are definitely one of the best dessert chefs I have ever seen on youtube! although this is a somewhat....ah....odd....recipe idea, it is also very cute!!!
Definitely subscribing. I'm always on the lookout for awesome recipe videos, and yours are really informative, and easy to follow. Also, props for using the Wilton gel dyes. Those are the ones I've been using since I was a kid, so it makes me feel homely ^__^
My children and I are having great fun getting plenty of good ideas from your videos. We may try some of these . Got a pop cake machine last night. Wow, you have really good ideas and must love baking. Btw, I also listen to audio books while doing the housework :)
@icheer1489 you can make any colour using the primary colours (red, blue, yellow) Google " Primary color chart" and it will show which colours to mix to get orange, green etc
Excellent recipe!!! I made a dozen of them today and the result was incredible!!!! the texture is excellent!! I prefer to add them a little of extra flavour like cherries as you did in a past video and that would be the perfect cookie recipe!!! hugs from Calgary, Andreina.
Basic sugar cookie dough would probably be okay as long as you chilled it enough. You need a dough that can be worked and won't fall apart as you roll it
These are the awesomest cookies ever! :D I want to make these someday... although I've never made cookies from scratch. I'm not much a baker. But I do consider myself an artist, and that's half of it. :)
Do you mean the silicone mat? Mate has a different meaning, lol. They were a gift from a friend who bought them at Target. They can be purchased at most stores like Walmart or kitchen stores
I made these! They came out awesome, the texture of the cookies are delicious, but if you want more flavor i would suggest adding more sugar because they are very slight in taste, but very good still.
I don't think you should sub shortening with oil in this recipe, but it seems you have figured this out the hard way. If you want to try again, you could try just using butter or looking for another "icebox" cookie recipe that doesn't use shortening.
Bulk Barn! I just moved to Ontario, Canada, and we have one in town... it's the first time I've heard of Bulk Barn. Is it in other provinces/countries? How exciting! I love your rainbow recipes! They are so exciting and seem so tasty and simple! :D

I might do this for pride!!!! :D
@ShiroxYume You need a balance between not chilled enough and too chilled. If it is too chilled it will fall apart when you roll it, not chilled enough, too sticky.
These colors are soo beautiful, how are they called and where can I get them, I'm from germany, we have no Walmart. :D Amazon?
Das sind Wilton Gelfarben. Ich habe meine von Amazon. Die sind einfach super! Viel Spaß beim Backen! ♥
MegaRammsteingirl your from Germany? That’s cool. I’m from Kentucky

Is it suppose to be stiky
out of all of the cake videos/ channels, this is yet the best one I have ever seen. You, lady, are talented and perfect.
I'm making this, right now, just waiting for them to chill and slice....I hope they turn out good.
I love your videos and you are such an inspiration.
Hello Sabrina! I am thrilled to have someone in Hong Kong watching my videos, how cool is that??? :) Welcome.
one of the best youtube videos I have seen with clear directions and recipe - nicely done!

as a lazy 14 year old teen i hate cooking but watching your videos makes me want to cook!
im 21 and male and home bound due to an accident, i have a week off and bored watching youtube videos , went from link to link until this, wow i have to make.
thankyou x x
@luvmusic2001 I hope it turns out well for you! Have fun making it :)
You can use a spoon to mix, continue to stir until well combined.
Very happy these turned out for you and your daughter, thank you for letting me know.
I tire of answering the same questions over and over again, thank you for this.
I love how things like this look weird and like PlayDough when they are raw, but taste and look AMAZING when they are cooked!

let me just say u have inspired me to never stop baking i love to bake now because of u *thank you*
Thank you for your kind words Kayla
They will spread if not chilled and will be very difficult to cut without squishing them. Let them chill
You're so creative! Finally a "youtuber" that doesn't post the same videos. Your are awesome. Keep at it :)
Making these for my daughters Rainbow Guide's party this week - they look great!
LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your videos. I'm a huge fan. You make everything so simple and easy to follow. Why don't you have your own cooking show on television? You are amazing.
Nice! This is a really well-made cookie recipe from the baker woman, and well-produced and edited! Thank you!
Your cookies are always so cute! I love your videos. Thanks for sharing!
i have used so many of your recipes and they have all turned out splendidly!! thank you so much! I'm about to go make these cookies and there is no doubt in my mind the product will be any different than the others :)
yes, but it may make your dough sticky, add a tiny bit of extra flour if this happens and chill the dough very well
Great video. Perfect description. I wish more RUclips videos were as good as this
Omg you're so creative + I love your intro! ♡
These look awesome! I can't wait to try them out!! Thanks!!!! Big thumbs up from Switzerland
Wonderful idea! I love to experiment with color in what I bake. Just the other week, I baked a rainbow layer cake. I should definitely give this a try. Thanks so much for uploading!

Definitely subscribing. I'm always on the lookout for awesome recipe videos, and yours are really informative, and easy to follow. Also, props for using the Wilton gel dyes. Those are the ones I've been using since I was a kid, so it makes me feel homely ^__^

these are really cool and i want to make them now!
GOOD JOB YOYOMAX12!
You could use colour tinted bread dough for this, yes.
Great job on your tutorial
They are so Beautiful! :)
Really enjoy your baking videos even though i don't do much baking myself :p
Seriously, this was absolutely awesome!! GOOD JOB!
Wonderfully inventive- they look like the tiny pinatas I have at parties. Kids would go utterly insane over them, I'm sure.
I wouldn't leave it in the fridge longer than 3 days, you can freeze it for a month or two though
You can taste a mild flavour of cream cheese in these. You can use any non-spreading sugar cookie dough recipe for this.
Thanks! I plan to give them a try today. They look delightful and not impossible :0)
Excellent recipe!!! I made a dozen of them today and the result was incredible!!!! the texture is excellent!! I prefer to add them a little of extra flavour like cherries as you did in a past video and that would be the perfect cookie recipe!!! hugs from Calgary, Andreina.
The tone of your voice really cheers me up ^^
Great videos. I loved the rainbow bread! I'm going to make some of this for a friend of mine.
Love the rainbow colours! IT LOOKS SO YUMMY
adorable! you're a baking genius
Basic sugar cookie dough would probably be okay as long as you chilled it enough. You need a dough that can be worked and won't fall apart as you roll it
This is sooo awesome, it makes me feel like a kid again!!
These are super cute! Just in time for my daughter's birthday!!!
These are the awesomest cookies ever! :D I want to make these someday... although I've never made cookies from scratch. I'm not much a baker. But I do consider myself an artist, and that's half of it. :)
Rainbow bread, rainbow cake in a jar, unicorn poop and now this...you just got yerself a new subscriber! :)
8 oz is one cup, so a little less than half a cup?
Totally gonna make a full rainbow meal after watching all your rainbow videos xD
I'm so going to do this! thanks for posting so many great recipies! I love them! I'm a homschooler and love making you recipies :)
@LovesDanceCentral2 You need an :icebox sugar cookie recipe", just google that phrase and you will find recipes that don't use shortening.
I'm glad you found me :) Feel better soon
The number is in the first line of the description box, yes you can leave it in the fridge overnight
thanks so much, today i made your rainbow bread recipe it turned out great, and ill be trying this soon!!!
Do you mean the silicone mat? Mate has a different meaning, lol.
They were a gift from a friend who bought them at Target. They can be purchased at most stores like Walmart or kitchen stores
Depends on the mix, some of them are very crumbly and may not be suitable
This is probably the coolest thing I've seen in a while... :)
Tried this cookies long long ago my kids still remember and ask for more..and now back for the tutorial..tks alot!
Your kind comment is very much appreciated, thank you :)
I made these! They came out awesome, the texture of the cookies are delicious, but if you want more flavor i would suggest adding more sugar because they are very slight in taste, but very good still.
So much fun! I've never really been into cooking and baking and all that, but these videos make me want to try! :) Thank you for uploading this! :D
The reason I post videos is so that people can make these at home. You are welcome to do whatever you wish :)
These are AWESOME!! Thanks! :) Totally gonna try these!
That was really cool!! You did a GREAT job!!!!
Yes, but the cookies may spread a bit more
I don't think you should sub shortening with oil in this recipe, but it seems you have figured this out the hard way. If you want to try again, you could try just using butter or looking for another "icebox" cookie recipe that doesn't use shortening.
Those are adorable! Makes me wanna get into baking, even if I am terrible. :L
I would freeze them if you wanted to make them early and serve them later. I wouldn't leave a home-made cookie out for two months and then eat it
This rainbow, has earned you a subscription!
This is seriously awesome! Just seems like it takes some time.
Lovely!! I am so gonna do this for my daughters birthday!
These look so good! Very creative :)
Bulk Barn! I just moved to Ontario, Canada, and we have one in town... it's the first time I've heard of Bulk Barn. Is it in other provinces/countries? How exciting!
I love your rainbow recipes! They are so exciting and seem so tasty and simple! :D
I heard there's one in BC, as well. I sure hope they become popular all over Canada. :)
Moved back to BC, there are some out here, too, but not in my city. :S Hopefully we will get one, too. :)
