It is good to know that SMFR is equipped to handle any type of emergency including water rescue of different types. Seems like you have personnel that are very well trained and equipped for any body of water including swift water rescues. Coming from Buena Vista CO along the Arkansas River we often had swift water rescues and recoveries from the water rafters, and kayakers. We had personnel trained in swift water rescue at the BVFD and Chaffee Co FR as well. This was a great review of how you handle these emergencies. Great video coverage too.
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO I recently watched ruclips.net/video/pEIFG7-cmzY/видео.html Can you explain y'all's work schedule. I personally have 24/48 but I heard him say 48 on, how long are y'all off?
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO okay, I have seen the ones on hazmat 38 and decon 17 but i was thinking more in the line of how the procedings go when doing a hazmat call, what the will do etc. Thanks for the answer otherwise and I will look out for that video, great video otherwise
Y'all obviously care about diver safety, so why don't you have secondary/emergency regulators on their gear? I've been an open water diver for a few years and I practice somewhat frequently with rescue divers and I've never seen any of them (or any one else I've dived with for that matter) without an secondary/emergency regulator... and those regulators have saved more than once when I've run out of air, even when returning at 1500psi...
Hey, Padi divemaster here. On the BC’s shown in the video it appears they are using a combined inflator/alternate air source. It looks like aqualung’s version of the Scubapro Air 2, which I personally run as a tertiary reserve. In my opinion when diving full face mask with all the gear required by PSDs (Public Safety Divers) it makes it easier when switching From a full face mask to just grab your inflator and breath off it instead of twisting hoses around and such. Hope I helped you some and if you have any questions feel free to reply. Have a good one!
The dive rescue truck it self looks like an UPS truck
Lol😂😂😂😂
thats just because of the model is the same as a UPS truck
A lot of the time they will use the same truck in fact the rescue squad I’m on uses an old ups truck as our command center
It is they just painted it
Probably

Are you going to do a fleet Friday on collapse 45?
Day in a life of hazardous materials team & Technical rescue team
HAZMAT is cross-staffed just like the Dive units, so there is no "day in the life of" - and there already is a fleet friday of Hazmat 38.
And they wouldnt get many calls
@11:26: "We'll give them a rinse before we get them undressed....completely" was an interesting word choice. But I'm def laughing
Another great video!
@SouthMetroPIO how much wax do you guys use to keep that mirror-like shine on your rigs?

Last night I had a dive call
Can you guys go through a pulse point explanation of all the units for the different calls. And what they do
Sorry, cant watch the whole video but pretty cool truck im guessing its not often you see this? Anyway, stay safe everyone!
Btw lets say you’re in the dive team, If there is a fire or medical call you’ll take the engine, right? does every fire station have that?
When will you release the next video
this is from Littleton Fire rescue right ?
when will the next vlog be? and I hope everyone at south metro fire rescue is staying safe and healthy
Do PIOS lay hose or get involved with fire fighting or only do media
So they don’t dive with two people at a time I thought that’s what was supposed to happen
When is the next PIO Vlog going to be
Are you going to do a vlog yet it is been three weeks
Its the same as a UPS truck they are made by the same company.
What kind of Rescue knife do you guys carry ?
Does anyone know how you get a patch from them?
Message them through Facebook or send them a pm on there Facebook page
Link in description to a patch request form.
@@EricWhiteTheGamer thank you very much

Why doesn’t the dive team go out on the ice to rescue pets?
