They just wanted to do best to slow or halt the virus, especially before AZT in 1987, which would extend life in AIDS patients about one year but, but actual life saving treatment would take until the mid 90s to which it would cause a relatively normal life with just 1-3 pills per day.
How many cases do you need? How many people have to die before we recommend social distancing and masks? Give us a number so we won't annoy you until it matters!
