10k in a day is HARD! I've only managed it a couple times. I found that starting early in the day and taking scheduled breaks is incredibly helpful. Having a solid outline is good too! 😊

Loved this Vlog Vee. 6000 words is a lot of words. Well done. I’m currently writing a first draft as well and I agree I have learnt to know when to move on. I leave a lot of notes for myself to come back and add description and even ideas for new scenes and chapters. I’ve convinced myself that the first draft is just to get the story out and then I have a lot of time after that to edit. Well done for all your hard work ❤️

6,757 words for the day is huge!! Momentum is always momentum. I also get stuck on names so have just started writing XYZ and figure I can come back to the draft later :)

You mentioned not thinking about discriptions at around 5 minutes in the video and it made me realize I should take a sec to analyze what I write quickly and what I don't. That way I can focus on the don't in the editing rather than the drafting.

I know I could most likely not write 10K words in one day...you got pretty close! That's impressive! :) I also used to get stuck on those minor details in the first draft. Now I'm like, you can fill that in later, just skip it for now damnit! Haha

I did a similar challenge and only got to 5k words! I feel like you never realize how much effort writing thousands of words actually takes until you try it on a time crunch lol. Loved the video btw!

I was 33-years-old when I'd first written over 10,000 in a day and managed 11,000, because I hadn't realized I'd already passed it. 6,000 is still amazing.

scrivener! however it does cost money so i recommend using manuskript, bibisco, notion(which isn't spefically for writing but is really useful) or some other software
